Poem: The Bitter Wind Guards The Mountain

Freezing gusts tug at the heart.
Notions cannot survive this bitter wind,
Emotions are torn away in loneliness.

Clouds far below, drift like spirits.
The air is thinner higher up.
Free of weight, the mind moves freely.

No visitors reach this tranquil scene;
Worldly people cannot bear the lonely silence.
Alone in one’s true thoughts is exquisite quietness.

Standing quietly atop the mountain,
The bitter wind guards this intricate wonder,
Boundless mystery hidden in his flowing robe.
