I am fourteen years old and so I am attending middle school. My father is a Falun Dafa practitioner and so he often tells me of the miraculous qualities and facts of the practice. Gradually I am beginning to understand that things are not as simple as people imagine - things like judging between right and wrong - you have to think through issues rationally with your own mind and not listen to other people's nonsense.
When my father initially took the time to explain what Falun Gong is and the truth behind the persecution, I took the opposite attitude, contradicting him each time: "Why is it this way? Is there any evidence? Can science verify it?" My father never got mad; he continued to explain things to me patiently. Finally one day I came to my senses. Now I no longer contradict his words and listen quietly. I have already withdrawn from the Young Pioneers of the Chinese Communist Party, and I will not join any other Party related organizations! During summer vacation, I finished reading the Falun Gong book, Zhuan Falun, which helped me solve many contradictions in my mind. Now I abide by the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" and thereby avoid many troublesome situations. Gradually, I have come to realize the supernatural power of Falun Dafa.
In the past I often suffered from bloody noses, and no medication helped. Father asked me to sincerely recite: "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good." Much to my amazement my nose didn't bleed for a long time. I love to read Falun Dafa books and other materials related to the practice, and I won't do anything to cause dishonor to Falun Dafa. Sometimes I do still have nose-bleeds, but as soon as I say: "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good" the bleeding immediately stops. I understand it is Master who helped me. For this I wish to say, "Thank you Master! Thank you Falun Dafa!"
Of course, the supernatural power of Falun Dafa is not just limited to this. Let me give you one more example. I love math, but my test scores are not very stable. On my final exam this year I received 97 percent. During the exam, I kept reciting: "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good," so I was relaxed; not tense as in previous tests, and the test went smoothly.
I was very careful in answering the questions. At the beginning, everything was going smoothly, but then a tough question came. I jumped over it and continued to do the simple questions first. After I finished them, I began to check over my answers. "Oh, the tough graph question is related to this question, I now know how to answer it!" I knew Master was helping me. Thank you so much Master! I finished the graph question right away. I looked at my watch thnking, "Oh no, I do not have much time left, and I have another tough question!" (Maybe because of this I did not get the full score). I was quite flustered, and my thought processes became chaotic, so I put down the first answer I thought of, and turned in my paper. I lost three points. I think Master was teaching me: Don't lose your cool; you won't make mistakes when you calm down.
Let me talk about my feelings after I read some materials containing the true facts about the practice and the persecution. Once I understood the truth, my concept of certain ideas also changed. and so this is why I love to read such materials. Whenever my father visits the Falun Dafa related websites, I sit next to him patiently, eagerly reading what he reads. From every article I understand something about life, for example, "With a compassionate heart, you will see a larger world;" "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is the character of the universe;" "There is justice in this world," and so on. These precious materials act as bright lights in my life. On reading carefully, one may fill any deficits in one's life and find one's true self. I would recommend anyone to spend some time reading more articles such as these?
