Germany: Exposing the Harrowing Truth about the Secret Death Camps in China

It is still quite obvious that there are many people who have not heard of the magnitude of the human right violations in China. This time, we saw this again for ourselves during one of our periodic 'information days' in Düsseldorf. On Saturday, July 28th, we set up our usual small booth in the Heinrich-Heine Square in the centre of the old town Düsseldorf. We wanted to tell the locals all that goes on in China’s labour camps. We hoped to alert the people as to how people in China were persecuted and tortured.

Many people stopped in front of the large banners that told of the secret death camps in China and appeared to be deeply shaken by the pictures.

It has already been eight years since the beginning of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Yet, there is still no end to the unfathomable murder and suffering of people in China under the dictatorship of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). There were people who could no longer look at the photos that depicted the cruel torture. Others came to a standstill, looked for an explanation, and asked us for the reason for this display and the extent of these atrocities. We held many discussions with those who wanted to know more about the on-going situation in China. There were many who signed our petition against the organ harvesting from our fellow practitioners in China.

One woman told us how she would tell her acquaintances about what she heard. Another had already received a flyer a few weeks ago and had suffered bodily reactions when reading this information. When passing again our booth she stopped and spoke with one practitioner about this unexplainable reaction she had because of meeting up with Falun Gong. After our discussion she understood that her soul was deeply touched by the spiritual information she was given. She got to know something about herself and Falun Gong because of this personal experience.

While we sent righteous thoughts, held in our thoughts the persecution for a short time and just sat quietly, we observed that many passersby came to a sudden standstill and observed us intently. At that time something within must have awakened and made them stop instead of passing by without caring about what they saw.

Olympic Games and human rights violations are incompatible

We used this opportunity to distribute flyers about organ harvesting that as of now killed more than 41,000 Falun Gong practitioners, and which continues in secret. We also told people about the August “Human Rights Torch Relay.” The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG) initiated this activity to help society understand the incompatibility between human rights violation and the Olympic Games. The call for a boycott of the Olympic Games in China, as long as China refuses to respect international human rights, is getting everywhere stronger and stronger.

Even on that day we could satisfy ourselves that people are quite aware that China refuses democratic rights to those in China, suppresses them in many spheres of life and indiscriminately persecutes them. In the meantime, people have heard about it through television broadcasts all that is going on in communist China and under the dictatorship of the CCP, as well as the exploitation and abuse of the Chinese people.
May it be the growing environmental destruction, the media censure, the impoverishment and poverty of the Chinese populace, the slave labour camps, the suppression of freedom of opinion, the human rights violations on a large scale, or the organ harvesting on live Falun Gong practitioners, more and more people are viewing China with critical eyes.

It is about time that China changes. Next year’s Olympic Games in Beijing can no longer be used to throw sand in the world’s peoples eyes and mislead them. China continues to be a totalitarian state where people are suppressed. The Olympic Games stand for peace among nations and peace within any nation.
