Mr. Pan Qing, spokesman for the Chinese Alignment to Protect Human Rights and Resist Violence and a member of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG), said recently that the Chinese Communist Party's practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners should not be tolerated. He also explained that the purpose of the Human Rights Torch Relay is to stop the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and other groups in China.

Mr. Pan Qing, spokesman for the Chinese Alignment to Protect Human Rights and Resist Violence and a member of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG)

Mr. Pan Qing said, "I believe that the truth is powerful. Once people learn the truth and see that there is hope, then the darkness covering their hearts will be driven away and they will pursue the truth. They will act to stop the crimes.""Harvesting organs from living people and making money from it is the worse sin imaginable and cannot be tolerated," he continued. He called upon people of conscience to help investigate this crime. He said, "The world doesn't know enough about this. The persecution of Falun Gong has not been exposed enough. I know about many terrible cases, which shocked me and urged me to get involved in CIPFG. I think that everybody should pay attention to the persecution and help to investigate it."

Mr. Pan had high praise for Mr. David Kilgour, a former member of Parliament and Canadian Secretary of State for the Asia-Pacific region, and Mr. David Matas, a human rights lawyer. He said, "It is very touching that they stood up for the Chinese people. It shows that they care about the suffering in other countries."

He said, "No matter what kind of excuses the CCP gives, it cannot escape its destiny to be eliminated. There is no reason for it to exist in China. The truth must be clarified and we need to let Chinese people know that they have the right to determine their future. One of the important purposes of the Human Rights Torch Relay is to stop the CCP's brutality in China."

Mr. Pan said he knew many just people were getting involved in the Torch Relay. He said, "Thirty-five countries and more than 100 cities are involved. The human rights torch will finally get to China. In our Alignment to Protect Human Rights and Resist Violence, some people overcame their fear and stood up to support the Human Rights Torch Relay. So, I strongly believe that the CCP's tyrannical power will end when human rights torches spread all over China."
