(Clearwisdom.net) On 5, 6 and 7 April, 2002, Amnesty International (UK section) held its annual meeting at the historic university of Warwick in England. Around 500 people attended it.

Several motions about the abuse of human rights were discussed. One motion was about Falun Gong. In one of the working parties Falun Gong practitioners clarified the truth to all of the participants. A TV crew interviewed practitioners about the persecution in China.
All of the Amnesty members strongly supported the Falun Gong practitioners and gave them an ovation.

On the final day of the meeting, all of the motions were put to vote. The motion about Falun Gong was passed unanimously. No one spoke against it.

The motion means that Amnesty International in the UK will be acting much more actively in support of the Falun Gong practitioner in China.
