Canada: Mayor Alan Lowe of the City of Victoria Proclaims May 2007 as Falun Dafa Month Honouring Truth-Compassion-Tolerance

On May 24th, 2007, Alan Lowe, Mayor of the City of Victoria proclaimed May 2007 as Falun Dafa Month Honouring Truth-Compassion-Tolerance in the City of Victoria, Capital City of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.

"Falun Dafa Month"

Whereas, Falun Dafa is an advanced exercise and meditation practice of mind, body and spirit that seeks to bring health and well-being to people across Canada; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners practice the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and incorporate it into their daily lives, striving to become better people in all environments and situations; and

Whereas, Mr. Li Hongzhi is attributed to having brought the ancient practice of Falun Dafa and its goals of promoting better health and moral living throughout the world; and

Whereas, we respect the rights of people to peacefully practice their religion choice; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners from across Canada will gather to hold the 2007 Canadian Experience Sharing Conference in Toronto this May and communities across Canada will hold public celebration of Falun Dafa Month.

Now, Therefore I do hereby proclaim May 2007 as "Falun Dafa Month Honouring Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" in the City of Victoria, Capital City of the Province of British Columbia.
