On May 10th, 2007, Falun Gong received an invitation to introduce Falun Gong at the La Lumiere Community Centre in Liege, Belgium.

La Lumiere Community Centre is a welfare centre set up by the government to specifically provide assistance to senior citizens with optical problems. The community activity is held every week to teach them how to overcome living difficulties. They learn from the activities and also share living experience in the community.

At the ‘Fitness and Health Exhibition’ held in Liege in July last year, staff from the community centre learned about Falun Gong and kept in touch with the Falun Gong practitioners. One month ago, the centre arranged an activity in which practitioners could introduce Falun Gong and teach the exercises. About thirty people participated in the activity.

Kamen, a Falun Gong practitioner, tried to explain the exercise movements as clearly as possible and then assist individuals whose movements were inaccurate. Other attendees frequently asked whether their movements were correct or not and practitioners always helped them with patience. Every time when the practitioner demonstrated a new exercise, people always responded with warm applause. When the Falun Gong practitioners inquired if they were too tired to continue, they unanimously replied that they wished to carry on. Afterwards, practitioners discovered that one elderly guest dressed in light pink clothes was 100 years old.

Two hours passed very quickly. People felt happy and relaxed from practising the exercises and requested Falun Gong leaflets.
