Falun Gong practitioner Zhu Ying accepted the trophy provided by the Canada Broadcasting Corporation. The host from United Irish Societies of Montreal introduced the Falun Gong practitioners as the only Chinese group participating repeatedly in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The host said that they performed better year after year from colour usage to their unique performances (exercise demonstration, waist drum and lion dance), which impressed the audience. He said that their excellent performance met the criterion for the award “Most Creative Endeavour”.

Mr. William James, organiser of the parade committee, told Zhu Ying that he was very busy on the parade day but stopped to look at the practitioners’ procession. He said that it was very creative and just what the committee likes to bring to people.

Ms. Zhu said, “Saint Patrick was not afraid of hardship and brought belief to the Irish people. Falun Gong practitioners in China suffer brutal persecution, which cannot change the practitioners’ belief in Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. In their steadfast efforts against the persecution, practitioners are bringing the grace of Falun Dafa to more people.”
