Russia: Special Musical Performance at Nishne Novgorod City Music College

In order to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the State Language University Choir in Nishne Novgorod, the City Music College held a concert on August 17th, 2006. During the concert, musical works by many Russian and other composers were played.

One special thing about the State Language University Choir is that they sing in many languages. The focus of this concert was a Chinese song entitled Coming for You, which was composed by a Falun Gong practitioner. One member of the choir is a Falun Gong practitioner and all the other members of the choir know about Falun Gong and the ruthless persecution of the practice in China. When doing the rehearsal, everyone was working very hard with their whole heart and the performance was very successful.

A group of Chinese people came to the concert. When the curtains of the stage were opened and they found the leading singer was a Russian girl in traditional Chinese custom, they were very delighted. When they heard the chorus was singing ‘Falun Dafa is wonderful’, they were so surprised that they could not believe their ears.

After the song finished, these precious Chinese people’s conscience which had been poisoned by lies and covered with dust was awakened. They applauded loudly with smiles on their faces and the sound of their applause blended into the thunderous applause of other audience.
