Singapore Authorities: Don’t Become Policy Enforcers for the Chinese Commmunist Party

Since the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Jiang Zemin and his regime began its persecution of Falun Gong in July of 1999, Singapore Falun Gong practitioners’ cultivation environment worsened. Singapore is in the thralls of the Chinese Communist Party's dark minions. Group practise of the Falun Gong exercises and activities introducing Falun Gong to the public have been interfered with and restricted. The media have repeated the CCP lies. Police frequently arrested and filed lawsuits against Falun Gong practitioners for what they called "illegal assembly" and "destruction of social order."

It does not take much to realise that the CCP is behind all the aforementioned harassment, and manipulates Singapore’s government from behind the scenes. When analysing the incidences we discovered that the Singapore authority’s unfair treatment of Falun Gong practitioners often occurred when CCP high officials visited Singapore or when Singapore officials visited China. On May 28th, 2006, we heard that the former head of China's Gestapo like 610 Office, Li Lanqing, had been invited by Singapore leader Lee Kuan Yee to receive an honorary doctorate at the National University of Singapore. A series of incidents followed, ranging from an attempt to deport Falun Gong practitioners, to banning of Falun Gong practitioners from holding activities exposing the persecution, and taking Falun Gong practitioners to court for the third time.

The Singapore government even used CCP methods in their treatment of Falun Gong practitioners – they tried to incite the public. State controlled media published articles attacking and slandering Falun Gong practitioners, which caused misunderstanding and hatred among the people. They then took Falun Gong practitioners to court, claiming "public complaints" (similar to elderly ladies of China’s Resident Committee reporting on others, or simply provoked friends of the Chinese Consulate into action).

When people who do not know the truth complain about Falun Gong practitioners’ efforts to let the world know the truth, an inconsistency appears. If Falun Gong practitioners could freely clarify the facts, how many people would complain? Would the deceit by the CCP have any effect? Concerning the second type of "complaint," it can be discerned easily. It mimics the Chinese Consulate’s reaction to Falun Gong practitioners’ protests during truth-clarification activities outside the Consulate and subsequent persecution.

Falun Gong has been spread in the world for several years, and public activities are legitimate in other countries. Singapore authorities should not become accomplices to the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong, and become associated with the CCP’s bad human rights record. Singapore’s long-term development requires a favourable international image. It cannot afford to assume a bloody debt for the CCP.

Singapore is well known for its rigid laws. But, this can’t become the excuse for ignoring justice. When the Nazis killed Jews, Japanese war criminals slaughtered Chinese people in Nanjing. If someone had gone to Singapore to expose these atrocities, would the Singapore authorities take people who try to stop the killing to court and charge them with of "illegal assembly" and "destruction of social order?"

Today, the CCP is brutally persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in labour and concentration camps. This is nothing less than genocide. The covering up of the atrocities continues. Just remember the recently exposed organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP followers for profits. This gave impetus for people to take notice and become alarmed, saying, "This is a form of evil we have yet to see on this planet."

During World War II, Germanic laws were passed by their regime. After the war, when Nazi henchman were accused of crimes against humanity and tried as war criminals, they claimed that they acted under German law. But, the post-war German courts did not accept such reasoning. The German court took the stance that a country’s law is not a tool that can be used to commit crimes against humanity. Nazi henchmen could not escape responsibility in having committed crimes against humanity. They could not claim in their defence that they were "executing the country’s laws."

In fact, Singapore’s legal branches have behaved erratically, which can be seen by their treatment of Falun Gong practitioners. Without pressure from the CCP, the Singapore authorities did not talk about suppressing Falun Gong. But alas, when ordered by the CCP, the Singapore authorities adhered to "with a wish to incriminate, there is no lack of pretext." This time, after the CCP’s 610 Office leader arrived in Singapore, Singapore authorities were stimulated by the CCP. They claimed that Ms. Huang Chay Hua’s one- person peaceful protest was "illegal assembly" (only her banner targeted 610 head Li Lanqing). When laws are truly respected, human rights should be prized. A legal system without human rights, and which does not practise human justice can only become a tool of those who wish to manipulate at will.

Hong Kong is a place under the direct control of the CCP. But, it still maintains justice. On May 5th, 2005, the Hong Kong Supreme Court overturned convictions against Falun Gong practitioners for blocking public access and obstructing police. The Supreme Court ruled that the police acted unlawfully by arresting sixteen Falun Gong practitioners three years ago, and overturned all conviction against them. This act by the Supreme Court showed that the CCP has not taken a foothold in Hong Kong. In contrast, Hong Kong has earned a good international reputation, and this action benefited the development of Hong Kong. It did not bring harm.

Singapore is an independent country. Why hold onto the apron strings of the CCP? Look around in this world. Who else is willing to be an accomplice of the CCP like Singapore? Singapore even helped the CCP by committing human rights violations in Singapore. It is like "selling an export product internally," and it is joining the CCP’s international isolation by persecuting Falun Gong.

Sooner or later the CCP will be eliminated. We hope that Singapore authorities won’t deeply regret their complicity with the CCP, when the entire world takes the CCP to task for its crimes.

We hope that the Singapore government attaches importance to justice and maintains their conscience. We sincerely hope that they are not an enforcer for the CCP and submit to control by the CCP’s 610 Office.
