On February 18th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners in Rome participated in activities marking eight million Chinese people quitting the Chinese Communist Party.

Many Chinese people and Italians stopped to view the information display boards. Among them was an Italian woman who said, “I’m so happy to see the activities held here, as I always worried that the Chinese Communist regime may have infiltrated various places around the world. Now that you have realised the intrinsic evil nature of the CCP, I’m really delighted to see these banners.”
An elderly Chinese person said, “You should have organised a large-scale parade to arouse the awareness of the persecution.” During the activity, some ill-minded Chinese also intended to create interruptions, but to no avail due to the presence of police.
