Bodo is a beautiful seaside city in the north of Norway, with a population of nearly 50 thousand. The name “Bodo” is derived from the Sanskrit word “Buddha”, meaning the City of Buddha. In February 2006, 8 Falun Gong practitioners from Thailand came to Bodo. On Saturday February 11th, 11 Falun Gong practitioners altogether, including 3 little practitioners, came to the busiest part of Bodo city centre to introduce Falun Dafa to local people and tell them about the persecution of practitioners taking place in China.

Distributing leaflets Talking with the public

Practitioners unfurled banners and displayed pictures on the side of the street, explaining what Falun Gong is and furthermore exposing the brutal persecution that is happening to Falun Gong in China. Most of the people passing by accepted a leaflet. A large number of people stopped to look at the pictures depicting torture, and were shocked by the on-going suppression in China. After understanding the truth, people expressed their sympathy and encouraged us.

To the sound of traditional-style Chinese exercise music, practitioners demonstrated the 5 Falun Gong exercises. A little practitioner doing meditation attracted the interest of pedestrians, and there were constantly people taking photos. A few Norwegians wanted to learn the Falun Gong exercises. Practitioners told them in return that they will take Falun Dafa to every corner of Norway, and hope that the people of Norway will have a bright and wonderful future.
