On February 10th 2005, a forum entitled “The real nature of the Chinese Communist Party exposed” was held in the Spanish capital Madrid. People from several Spanish NGOs, human rights organisations, Amnesty International, Reporters Without Borders, the Tibetan group, democratic organisations, Falun Gong and human rights lawyers attended the forum.

A representative from Amnesty International spoke first: “…Under the Chinese system, the judiciary is no longer independent and has become a tool to aid the persecution of people. It tortures those with spiritual beliefs and forces them to give up their faith, thereby forcing them to become the faithful of the Communist Party. This is the persecution of people’s most fundamental rights and their physical and spiritual well-being. Often we see that the Chinese appeared to be improving their constitution and reforming their system, but these were just a façade; it’s a bit like cosmetics, which washes away from the rain.” He concluded by saying, “Although we are unable to change the human rights situation in China, we still hope we can contribute to its improvement.”

The president of the Tibetan Association has personally experienced the brutal persecution by the CCP. He told the participants that the Tibetan culture has been totally destroyed and atheism was forced upon the sacred land of Tibet by the CCP and to reinforce the so-called “Re-education in Communism”, a five-year-old child has been imprisoned for ten years. The president commented that the forum presents an opportunity to introduce “The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party”, an editorial published by The Epoch Times newspaper, to people who have been deceived by the CCP and helps more people to see clearly the evil nature of the CCP.

My conscience is right before you, and I’d like to tell you ‘Falun Gong is good!’

The renowned Spanish human rights lawyer Carlos Iglesias said: “…I have known the Falun Gong practitioners for three years. I feel privileged to know them, a group of people who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance; but I also feel sad at the same time for the Chinese practitioners who are being tortured. As a democracy, Spain even negotiates trade with a killer with blood on his hands.” The forum turned silent when images of the tortured practitioners were projected onto the screen. Mr. Iglesias said: “Those practitioners have nothing left …except their hearts of conscience. My conscience is right before you, and I’d like to tell you ‘Falun Gong is good!’”

Quitting the CCP is a movement of Conscience

Epoch Times representative Dr. Yang Lixin was the last speaker. First he reminded the audience that Chinese president Hu’s European tour coincided with the Fall of the Berlin Wall sixteen years ago. He commented that it wasn’t merely a coincidence but an opportunity given to Hu by the Chinese people. Dr. Yang said the Chinese Communist Party built up and maintained its rule by using violent and deceitful means. The massacres which occurred since the CCP came to power were to maintain power. The CCP came to power in 1949, and its repeated political struggles have caused the unnatural deaths of eighty million innocent Chinese people. Dr. Yang quoted the words of the defected Chinese diplomat Chen Yonglin: “The Chinese Communist Party is like a wolf in sheep’s clothing and the Western governments are feeding it with trade.”

The Red Wall of the CCP is falling. Quitting the CCP is a peaceful movement which signifies the awakening of conscience of the Chinese people. It is a voice from the heart after awakening from the prolonged brainwashing by the CCP. In Mainland China, when people start to realise the evil nature of the CCP and discover that their dignity has been trampled on, they will declare their withdrawals from the CCP through various means and refuse to be brainwashed anymore. Before the fall of the CCP, Chinese people will refuse to side with the evil Party and choose righteousness. They will regain their human dignity.

When it came to the time for the audience to speak, one lady from a Spanish NGO said, “This Nine Commentaries Forum has presented my long-held views. I think we Spanish people ought to learn Falun Gong and tell the Chinese Communist government that people around the world all recognise the goodness of Falun Gong. The persecution is senseless.” Another person said, “When the evil is rampant, if the righteous speaks up, the evil won’t last long.”
