During the inauguration ceremony, a spokesman for the art exhibition, organised by the Falun Gong Association, Mrs.Veronica, extended greetings to guests. One Falun Gong practitioner also demonstrated the exercises. The Mayor of Andorno Micca spoke as well. He stressed the importance of such a high level art and cultural activity. He invited guests to contemplate the importance of paying attention to the people who are suffering the persecution. He also said the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance are what everyone should believe in around the world. A female artist, a member of the Artist Association, told people these paintings not only have lofty content of morality, but high level of execution.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, a great number people one after another visited the exhibition until late at night. Visitors were not only surprised at the quality of the paintings, but also shocked by the contrast between the beauty of Falun Gong and the brutal persecution committed by the Chinese Communist Party. Guests earnestly viewed the paintings, read the introductions about the paintings and exchanged their opinions. One visitor said people cannot believe and accept such a cruel persecution is still occurring. A sixty nine year-old man shed tears in front of the painting, “A tragedy in China”.
