Liu Chunfeng, around 50, a female employee of the Suining City Petroleum Company in Sichuan Province, was arrested in September 1999 for going to Beijing to appeal. She was illegally detained for one month in the Suining City Lingquansi Detention Centre and illegally fined 1000 yuan RMB. (The average monthly pay of an urban worker is 500 yuan.) After she went to Beijing to appeal the second time, in June 2000, she was illegally detained in the same detention centre for three months, fined 2000 yuan, and illegally sentenced to eighteen months of labour re-education. She was later bailed out and awaiting trial when her home was illegally searched in January 2001. Police confiscated a considerable amount of Falun Dafa literature. She was illegally detained for nine months and then sent to the Sichuan Province Women's Labour Camp. But because she was found to have "many severe illnesses" upon check in, the labour camp refused to take her. So the police then sent her to Suining City Beimen Mental Hospital, where she is being tortured to this day, with little hope of ever being released.

Huang Yilan, a woman of around 40 years old, is a worker at the Suining City Confectionery Plant in Sichuan Province. She was arrested for distributing truth-clarifying flyers one evening in November 2001, and is being illegally held at Lingquansi Detention Centre.

Liao Banggui, a man aged around 50, is an employee of the Suining Oil Well Drilling Team in Sichuan Province. On the evening of July 18, 2001, police suddenly searched his home, abducted him, and sent him to Lingquansi Detention Centre, where he is still detained.

Chen Jiabi, a 47-year-old female resident of Ximei Township, Suining City, was sitting at home and reading on the evening of September 23, 2001, when the police entered her home by first climbing over the perimeter wall. They searched her home but found nothing. The police sent her to Lingquansi Detention Centre, detaining her there for two months. She was then transferred to the Wujiawan Detention Centre, where she is still being held.

Liu Yanqun, a 61-year-old woman, is a resident of Fenshui Township, Suining City. While riding the bus to visit her relatives in Bamiao Township on September 24, 2001, she was abducted by the police and detained in the Lingquansi Detention Centre. On October 8, 2001, police had to issue a release order because they had no valid reason for detaining her. They refused to release her, however, and two months later she was transferred to the Wujiawan Detention Centre, where she still remains.

Wen Dexiu, a woman of around 50 years old, is a resident of Commune No.8, Village No.15, Fenshui Township, Suining City. In July 2001, the police abducted her for no apparent reason and illegally detained her in the Lingquansi Detention Centre. On October 8, police had to issue a release order because they had no valid reason for detaining her. They not only refused to release her, they even fined her over 1000 yuan. She was later transferred to the Wujiawan Detention Centre, where she still remains.

Zhang Fengqun, a woman aged around 30, is a resident of Fenshui Township, Suining City. In July 2001, the police abducted her from her home for no valid reason. Police illegally detained her in the Lingquansi Detention Centre. On October 8, 2001, police had to issue a release order because they had no justifiable reason to detain her. However, they refused to release her, fined her 5000 yuan and forced her to pay a 1000 yuan "cost of living" fee. She was later transferred to the Wujiawan Detention Centre, where she has been held ever since.

In July 2001, Liang Guirong, a woman in her thirties and a resident of Fenshui Township, Suining City, was abducted by the police while selling vegetables at the Xingwang Market. The police later detained her at the Lingquansi Detention Centre. She was then transferred to the Wujiawan Detention Centre and illegally sentenced to one year of labour re-education. The police severely tortured her, not only mentally but also physically, to the point of disfigurement. Her body is swollen beyond recognition, and now she can no longer care for herself.

Wujiawan Detention Centre illegally charges twenty yuan per day from each Falun Dafa practitioner for a "cost of living" fee. But practitioners receive only fifty grams of rice cereal and some preserved vegetables as a daily breakfast, and only 100 grams of rice and some potato for lunch. The evening meal is the same as what they had for breakfast. The detained practitioners are being slowly starved. The detention centre ignores the state regulation of "100 grams of vegetables, 150 grams of grains, and 150 grams of supplements each day, with meat once a week." They illegally take food away from the Falun Dafa practitioners to add to their abuse.

Zhou Suqun, a woman aged around 60, is a resident of Dongchan Township, Suining City. On September 24, 2001, police abducted her while she was on her way to visit her mother and illegally detained her in the Lingquansi Detention Centre. Two months later, she was transferred to the Wujiawan Detention Centre, where she was released after twenty days, fined 3000 yuan and forced to pay an 800 yuan "cost of living" fee.

Wang Xuezhen, a woman of around 58 years old, is a resident of the Nanqiang District of Suining City. In July 2001, because some people had accused her of Falun Gong involvement, she was arrested, detained in Wujiawan Detention Centre, transferred to Lingquansi Detention Centre for a month, and finally transferred back to Wujiawan Detention Centre, where she still remains.

Yu Xiaoyan, a 21-year-old woman, is an employee of the Sichuan Suining City Livestock Station. She went to Beijing to appeal on June 3, 2000, was arrested, sent back to Suining City and detained at Wujiawan Detention Centre. After one month, she was illegally sentenced to six months of living under surveillance because she had insisted on doing Falun Dafa exercises. Later, because she had firmly maintained her belief and continued to cultivate Falun Dafa, she was sentenced to two years of labour re-education and sent to the Sichuan Women's Labour Camp.

Deng Weili, a 25-year-old woman, is an employee of the Suining City Silk Factory. She went to Beijing to appeal in January 2000 and was illegally detained in the Wujiawan Detention Centre for one month. She was then sentenced to live under surveillance. She was later sentenced to two years of labour re-education at the Sichuan Women's Labour Camp, where she is still being held.

Wu Xiuping, a woman around age 40, is a resident of Dongchan Township, Suining City. In May 2001, she was arrested for posting Falun Dafa flyers and illegally detained in the Lingquansi Detention Centre for three months. She was then sentenced to eighteen months of labour re-education at the Sichuan Women's' Labour Camp, where she currently remains.

Wang Qishu, a man of around 50 years old, is an employee of Suining City Petroleum Company in Sichuan Province. He was formerly the assistant at the Suining Falun Dafa Assistance Centre. In 2001, he was illegally detained in Lingquansi Detention Centre for eight months for clarifying the truth to people. He was then sentenced to two and a half years of labour re-education, and remains detained in the Sichuan Xinhua Labour Camp to this day.

Wu Xiaodong, a 22-year-old male university graduate, is an employee of the Sichuan Suining Brewery. In January 2001, he was illegally detained in Lingquansi Detention Centre for eight months for going to Beijing to appeal. He was later sentenced to two and a half years labour re-education, and is currently detained in the Sichuan Xinhua Labour Camp.

There were two sisters from another Township, around the ages of 20 and 40, whose identities are unknown. On September 24, 2001, the police abducted them in Bamiao Township, Suining City, and detained them in the Lingquansi Detention Centre. Although the police did not find any Falun Dafa literature on either of them, they were both severely tortured. These two practitioners went on a hunger strike for twenty-eight days to protest. During this time, they were force-fed on two occasions each, and "locked on the iron chairs," where they were prevented from moving at all for an entire week... (A torture device, for details see http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2002/1/9/17577.html)
Although the elder sister's ribs were fractured, Lingquansi refused to release her or give her any medical attention. Currently, these two practitioners are still being severely tortured. Both are in a critical condition, and there is no one to take care of them. (In order to be sent to a hospital, there must be someone present, usually a family member, to bathe the patient, change sheets, empty the bedpan, etc.)

The Sichuan Suining City Detention Centre follows the persecution orders of the Jiang regime to "bankrupt them financially." They are persecuting each Falun Dafa practitioner with exorbitant fines, ranging from several hundred to several thousand yuan RMB.

The Suining City detention centres and labour camps do not care about people's lives but regard them as mere trifles.
