On Monday morning, January 14 2002, Falun Gong practitioners with banners and candles staged another protest against the recent killings of the practitioners in China. Many cars that passed by sounded their horns to support us. A photographer from a photo-agency and another from a national newspaper came. They even followed us into the consulate when a few of us went in to hand over a letter to the council. It was just before closing time but a person from the consulate came out to close the door right in the face of the practitioner who had the letter. Later two gentlemen came to apply for visas but they couldnt go in either. Later when the practitioners left they were allowed to go in. One of the practitioners visited the largest news agency in Sweden. A couple of hours later the agency published the protest action and incident in the consulate as well as the news of other similar protest actions around the world, including Stockholm. They quoted a part of our letter to the council: During the last 22 days we had received regular reports from China concerning at the at least 20 Falun Gong practitioners who had died of torture by the police.
