Norwegian Practitioner’s Open Letter to the embassy of the People’s Republic of China

[Copies of this letter have also been sent to the Office of Foreign Affairs and the media in Norway]

Today we are gathered here to hold a vigil to remember those 20 Falun Gong practitioners who have lost their life in the last 22 days because they believed in Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. They were all tortured and maltreated to death while under arrest or attack in China. Among them, a man named He Xing-Zong from Hubei province. He was assaulted on the street in daylight and strangled to death by the police just because he was out spreading information about the government harassment of Falun Gong.

One has to ask why the Chinese police can be such an undisguised practitioner of violence against peaceful and compassionate Falun Gong people. One can clearly see this in the Jiang Zemin regime’s policy against Falun Gong practitioners: to smear their reputation, ruin them financially and destroy their bodies.

At the same time one can also see that under such terrorizing persecution the Falun Gong practitioners are steadfast in their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance.

Today, more and more people recognize and assimilate to Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. These principles can in truth solve all kinds of human conflicts and catastrophes created by humans. It is sad that in China those people who are willing to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance are met with persecution and maltreatment.

We appeal to you that you – representative of and for the Chinese people – bring our wish to the Chinese government:

Stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners immediately!

Give people back their right to practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance!
