Russia: Photo Report - Appealing for an End to the Persecution in Moscow’s Smolensk Square

On Saturday the 16th of April, Falun Gong practitioners in Moscow called for an end to the persecution happening to their fellow practitioners in China opposite the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Smolensk Square.

People came to find out more about Falun Gong and the six years of persecution against the practice in China. Large banners reading “Falun Gong: Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance”, “Bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang to Justice” and “Stop Persecuting Falun Gong in China” were on display. Some practitioners sent righteous thoughts whilst others distributed leaflets and answered questions from the public. A group of practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and many people asked about their nearest practice site and where they could get the Falun Gong books. Practitioners told them that the books are available for free download at and that the exercises are always taught for free by volunteers.
