A Disabled Practitioner's Experience of Clarifying the Truth at Tiananmen Square

I had a deadly disease and I was disabled. Two people took care of me; however, Falun Dafa gave me a second life. I regained the strength to stand up again and most importantly, I understood the principles of Falun Dafa, which freed my spirit. Also, my whole family has greatly benefited from Falun Dafa.

In order to clarify the truth, my parents and I went to Tiananmen Square on the morning of October 28th 2001. The police spotted us before we opened the banner, so we shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" "Restore the reputation of Falun Dafa!" The tourists focused their attention on us, and were shocked when they saw how we were forcibly taken into the police van. The driver punched my father's face twice in the van. We were sent to the Tiananmen Police Station, forcibly searched and photographed. My father was pushed down to the floor by a couple of policemen and beaten. They pulled my mother's hair and slammed her head against the wall, while I was knocked down and body searched. Eighteen practitioners were detained there that day. That night, we were sent to the Dongcheng District Detention Centre. The practitioners shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" along the way. Outside the detention centre, groups of security guards were holding electric batons, with electric sparks flashing.

The next day, an old evil policeman brutally beat my father and I because we did not cooperate in having our pictures taken. We started a hunger strike to protest, and some practitioners were forced-fed. The guards forced us to take drugs that were intended for mental patients, and sometimes they put them into the food. I was injected with this medication by force. At last, the company that my father worked for sent somebody to pick us up. My mother and I returned home, but my father was illegally sent to a labour camp for a year. The police refused to tell us where they had detained my father.

I was beaten and knocked down to the floor about seven or eight times during that period, despite the fact that I was a disabled person.
