On the afternoon of September the 11th 2004, Falun Gong practitioners held a parade through Prague city centre to let people know about the campaign of genocide that is happening to practitioners in China and has already claimed at least 1059 lives. They marched accompanied by a city police escort through the New Town to Old Prague, Ancient Charles Bridge and up to the old town past the Houses of the Czech Parliament and near the Senate to the Hradcany Castle, where practitioners passed the Office of the President.

Many tourists asked for leaflets in various languages because they wanted to learn more about the persecution and some joined the parade. There were such massive crowds that you could not tell who the practitioners were and who the tourists were; leaflets could not be given out fast enough because so many people wanted them.

The parade ended in front of the Chinese Embassy where female practitioners sang the beautiful song “Coming for You” in Chinese and English and the song “Falun Dafa Hao”. Later all practitioners sat on the pavement opposite the embassy entrance and held a silent vigil to remember all the practitioners who have lost their lives in China because they lived by the principles of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance.
