Practitioner Wang Jinyan from Baoding City, Hebei Province was illegally incarcerated in a detention centre in Yanqing
County, Beijing. While in detention, she was brutally tortured and was later sent to the Yanqing Hospital for treatment. On November 29, 2001, Wang was on the verge of death. At that time she was emaciated and had been unconscious for a long time; however, her respiration and heartbeat were normal. One doctor briefly examined her and said to himself, "Falun Gong practitioners are really strong." This doctor tested her reflexes and found she had none. Despite this serious circumstance, the callous
Deputy Director of Yanqing Detention Centre still threatened another practitioner by saying, "If you still refuse to tell me your name, you'll see how I will deal with you. You will tell me when I have an electric baton in my hand."

When Wang Jinyan's life was in great danger, the perpetrators from the detention centre continued to torture her. They handcuffed her feet to the bed. Meanwhile, three policemen forcefully tied another thin female practitioner to a bed using 15 rolls of bandages. Presently, Wang Jinyan is still unconscious even after emergency treatment. She is now being hospitalized on the second floor of Yanqing
Hospital.

All kind-hearted people are moved when they hear about such barbarous torture at detention centres and labour camps. Your support, your governments' appeals and the media's objective reporting are all possible ways to oppose China's inhuman persecution of these innocent people. Falun Gong practitioners in China urgently need your help!
