Using Bookmarks to Clarify the Truth

We recently realised in our area that bookmarks can be used very effectively to clarify the truth. The bookmarks are printed with colourful pictures and the words, "The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance," and "Falun Dafa is good." They are appealing to all, regardless of their gender or age. Everyone takes the bookmarks with a smile, and nods agreement at the practitioners' advice, "Remember Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance is good, and for more information there are websites you can visit on the back of the bookmark!"

Regardless of whether it is in large activities such as parades, temple gatherings, or others such as restaurants, gas stations, or market places etc. practitioners always offer bookmarks with a smile. And seeing the happiness rising from deep within the people as they receive the bookmarks is unforgettable and priceless.

When the cashier of a restaurant accepted a bookmark, she said, "This is just what I was looking for." And once, we met a lady in the library, who would not take her eyes off the bookmark, and was constantly saying, "This is perfect." There was a western practitioner who was buying cloth at a fabric store, when the cashier asked what she needed the fabric for. The practitioner handed her a bookmark while telling her that it is for a Falun Dafa banner and began to clarify the truth to her. At that time the customers there were few, so 7-8 staff members all gathered around the practitioner and listened to her. This practitioner, who normally does not talk much, made an over ten minute long speech.

Bookmarks are also our children's gifts for their friends for holidays and birthdays. The effectiveness of the little bookmarks in validating the Fa is beyond our imagination. My daughter's friend's father is a government official. After reading the bookmark, he followed the web addresses, and read many truth clarifying articles. He then showed support and a willingness to help. Recently there has been a little story that gives us a further understanding in using the bookmarks to introduce people to Falun Gong. My daughter just had her birthday, and she gave every student in her class a bookmark. Yesterday my daughter invited her friend to play at our house. When her friend's mother came to take her home, her first words were, "Thank you very much for giving my daughter the bookmark." She told me that after she read the bookmark and visited the website, she realised how good Dafa is, and has become aware of the evil persecution that is happening in China. Today, she was in a hurry when she came, and had forgotten to look at my address, knowing only briefly where my house is. Then she suddenly saw my car parked in front of the door, with a bumper sticker that said, "SOS! Rescue Falun Gong practitioners persecuted in China" and she was certain that this was the right place. Before she left, she repeated, "When the weather is warmer, you must teach us the exercises."

Let us use all the opportunities we have to show the truth of Falun Gong to all beings, and aim to not miss a single one.
