The following is a summary of a broadcast by Radio Free Asia journalist Tian Yi:

Bo Xilai, who recently became a China Business Department minister, plans to visit Germany on Thursday March the 25th. He will encounter the strongest possible protest and condemnation by German Falun Gong practitioners and human rights groups. Protests began last weekend.

In light of these activities in Berlin, female scholar Zheng Zhihong from Zhejiang University in China told reporters, “As Falun Gong practitioners, we always support business exchanges between Germany and China, but Bo Xilai has a notorious record in terms of human rights.”

Zheng Zhihong also said, “Bo Xilai is closely following Jiang Zemin in regards to the persecution of Falun Gong.”

According to the understanding of the reporter, Bo Xilai’s crimes against human rights have been listed in detail on the websites of many German human rights groups.

When Bo Xilai faces the response of Germany’s liberal and democratic society, it will almost certainly be unpleasant for him.
