Falun Gong practitioners were transferred to the new cellblock in June of 2002.

The Longshan Prison initiated a so-called "Reception Meal" at the end of 2003 to earn additional income. From Monday to Friday, families may visit their detained relatives as long as they pay for the "reception meal."

One of the buildings at Longshan Prison in which Falun Gong practitioners are detained and work as "slave labour" is 400 meters from the front entrance. Wax is being produced there.

Since July 2001 Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners have processed various kinds of wax for export in this building. During July 2001 a 27-year-old female technician from a wax factory disclosed that the wax was exported to the United States.

The Longshan Prison forces visiting families to step on a picture of Falun Gong's founder. They are told that, "If you wish to visit with your relatives, you have to pass the gate of ghosts first".

There is a table and a chair at the entrance. The Longshan Prison police sit there and force the families to step on the picture of Falun Gong's founder.

Beginning in 2001, police from the Shenyang City Longshan Prison placed a picture of Falun Gong's founder on the ground near the entrance, prior to the arrival of families. The police do not allow family members to enter without stepping on the picture first. This policy continues today.

The director of the management section, Jiang Yubo (male, in his thirties), said to the visiting families, "When you step on the picture, you must step on the head! You will do it again if you fail! If you still can't do it, you are not allowed to enter!"

The above picture was taken on February 19, 2004 at 11:34 a.m. This is a delivery truck, on its way out of Longshan Prison, carrying containers filled with products produced by slave labour. The license number of this delivery truck is "Liao D94952." The Liao D license plate prefix signifies Fushun City, Liaoning Province. Since 2001, these trucks have been frequently observed taking boxes filled with wax products out of Longshan Prison. On February 19, 2004, a visiting family member confirmed that the Longshan Prison ordered its prisoners (both male and female) to produce wax products. Before that, the prisoners produced all sorts of Christmas hats for export.

After holding hunger strikes some Falun Gong practitioners were sent to the Shenxin Prison to be force-fed. At the end of 2002, a Falun Gong practitioner named Ms. Jing Cai, 31, was brought there from the Shenyang City Detention Centre to be force-fed. She almost died because the tube was pushed down her trachea and stopped her breathing causing her to almost suffocate to death.

The "new team" of the Shenyang Zhangshi Prison is located inside the Shenxin Prison, where recently-arrested Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners are detained. Falun Gong practitioners are forced to sit on short chairs for a long period of time while producing the slave labour products.

In 2001, Shenxin Prison was designated as one of the Falun Gong practitioner brainwashing centres. Several steadfast practitioners from the Masanjia Prison were sent there to be tortured into renouncing their belief in Falun Gong. Before that, the Shenxin Prison illegally detained many Falun Gong practitioners.
