German practitioners have now been collecting petition signatures calling for the rescue of their persecuted family and friends for three weeks. In a bustling city centre, the practitioners have prepared a display board and signature-collecting tables, together with the eye-catching slogans of “Falun Gong Files a Lawsuit Against Jiang Zemin” and “Rescue Xiong Wei and our Relatives and Friends”.

The banners describing the lawsuit that has been filed against Jiang caught the attention of many passers-by. They came towards us to find out more. One girl asked her mother the meaning of the banner slogans. Her mother recited the words on the banner loudly. Many passers-by stopped to listen. She finally told the girl that Jiang Zemin has killed many innocent people and will be brought to justice. The girl’s mother signed the petition to support the activity as the girl called out loudly, “I want to sign my name. I want to sign my name, too!”

Some Chinese people were reluctant to accept any leaflets at first. However, they silently accepted the materials after they saw what was written on the banners. After seeing the banners, one elderly German gentleman asked for a leaflet and then signed his name to support the lawsuit against Jiang and call for the rescue of Xiong Wei.

When one German middle-aged man said hello to us, we recognised him at first sight. We had seen him riding on his bicycle last week. Not only had he signed his name on the petition, but he had also been to the local practice site to learn the exercises for free. Now he came to talk to practitioners again.
