UN Representative Sends Best Wishes on Establishment of the European Brach of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong [17.02.2007]

"As I am concerned with issues of spiritual liberty within the United Nations human rights procedures, I have been concerned with government repression against the Falun Gong since the start of the government ban. I believe that it is important to continue to stress the need for the Chinese government to respect the "Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief" for the Falun Gong as well as for other religious and spiritual movements."

Organ Harvesting in China is Discussed at the UN Human Rights Council [30.09.2006]

Mr. Manfred Nowak, specially assigned for the issue of torture, made a report to the Council and said that torture is widely used in the People’s Republic of China. Former Canadian Secretary of State David Kilgour brought up the issue of the CCP having removed organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and then cremating their bodies to eliminate the evidence.

The United Nations Pays Attention to Missing Falun Gong Practitioners [07.07.2006]

Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted Falun Gong practitioners and tortures large amounts of Falun Gong practitioners to death, breaks up countless happy families, furthermore, what makes people the most afraid is the huge amount of Falun Gong practitioners’ disappearance. Especially when the crime of the concentration camps was revealed to the world such as harvesting Falun Gong practitioners’ organs, people paid more attention to those Falun Gong practitioners whose whereabouts were unknown during the persecution against Falun Gong for many years.

Seminar on Communism and Democracy held at the United Nations in Geneva [13.08.2005]

A Communism and democracy seminar was held by an international inter-faith organisation at the United Nations. Several organisations took part in the seminar. Russian writer Mr. Marejko, former Xinhua news agency journalist Mr. Bao Zhang Wu, a Chinese student in Switzerland and The Epoch Times journalist Mr. Grangier were invited to give speeches at the meeting.

During the 61st Session of United Nations Human Rights Commission, the United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights announced last year's many human rights reports and human rights dialogues between the Commission and China, including reports on the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group Lodges Complaint with UN Against Singapore for Issuing Unjust Verdict [06.05.2005]

The organization Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group lodged a complaint against Singapore with the United Nations on April 29th 2005, over the case in which the Singapore police violated the basic human rights of two Falun Gong practitioners and the court issued an unfair verdict. Singapore, as a member of the United Nations, should respect and observe the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

NTDTV Invited to a Special Seminar on "Communism - the Rights of Freedom of Speech” during the 61st UNHRC [27.04.2005]

On the 13th of April, inside the UN building in Geneva, a special conference was held by the General-Secretary of the International Multicultural Religions Organization about New Tang Dynasty Television. The main speakers included NTDTV Public Affairs Deputy Principal, Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Democracy League, a representative for the Tiananmen Mothers Committee and also a Swiss lawyer.

Geneva: Exposing the Chinese Regime's Crimes Against Conscience During UN Human Rights Meeting [25.04.2005]

During the 61st session of the UNHRC, the Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group, the United Nations Association of the United States of America San Diego Chapter and the International Educational Development - Humanitarian Law Project jointly held a forum entitled, "Crimes Against Conscience - The Chinese Government's Persecution of Falun Gong."

Statement by International Educational Development (IED) to the UN Commission on Human Rights Regarding Human Rights in China [19.03.2005]

"IED urges all States to take far more decisive action to protect Falun Gong practitioners in their own countries from direct or indirect persecution and to stop the intimidation by Chinese authorities or their agents of Falun Gong practitioners, media outlets, commercial enterprises, schools and universities or any another facility. Diplomats who participate should be required to leave their posts. States should make all aspects of their bi-lateral relationships with China contingent on stopping the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and on an over-all significant improvement in human rights."

EFGIC: United Nations Reports on Persecution of Falun Gong Compiled in Recently Published Book [08.12.2004]

LONDON [EFGIC]– The Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group has announced the publication of The 2004 United Nations Reports on China’s Persecution of Falun Gong. In its second edition, the book is a collection of reports issued by the Special Rapporteurs of the United Nations Human Rights Commission on China’s violent, and often deadly, persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

Exposing the Persecution of Falun Gong in the Chinese Educational System During the Annual Meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission [16.04.2004]

On April the 6th, during the annual meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC), the World Women's Organisation (USA) staged a seminar on Human Rights in the Chinese educational system. World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) president John Jaw, Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Ming and Australian human rights lawyer Christopher Nyst were invited to this seminar.

The Suffering of Chen Aizhong’s Family Arouses Attention in the UN [14.04.2004]

"Since Jiang’s group began suppressing Falun gong in 1999, authorities in Zhangjiagkuo City, Hebei Province, have followed Jiang’s persecution instructions to the letter. In addition to illegal imprisonment and sending a huge number of Falun Gong practitioners to forced labour camps, over ten practitioners have been persecuted to death in that city. Among them were two of Chen Aizhong’s family members, who were tortured to death in succession, Chen Aizhong and his younger sister Chen Hongping."

Female Falun Gong Practitioner Testifies to the UNHRC about Violence Conducted Against Women [13.04.2004]

Ms. Yoko Kaneko, a Japanese Falun Gong practitioner who was imprisoned in a Chinese forced labour camp for one and half a years, gave an account at a forum of the United Nations’ Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) of the brutal torture and brainwashing that she has experienced. She called for an immediate end to the persecution of Falun Gong.

Speeches Delivered by Falun Gong Practitioners at the UN Forum on Human Rights in China [09.04.2004]

On the afternoon of April the 2nd, the American delegation attending the meeting of the U.N. Commission on Human Rights organised a seminar regarding the resolution condemning China’s human rights abuses. Those attending included representatives of the United Nation’s member states, human rights organisations, Falun Gong practitioners and members of Family Church etc. The auditorium did not have a vacant seat.

Human Rights Organisations Encourage U.S to Introduce a China Resolution at UNHRC [08.04.2004]

This resolution points out that China's human rights record continued worsening in the past year. Examples include the on-going repression of spiritual and political groups such as Falun Gong practitioners, Tibetans, Catholics, Protestants, the unjust arrest and detention of spiritual leaders and political dissidents, harsh conditions in prisons and labour camps, forced-labour in labour camps, coercive family planning policies, and deprivation of fundamental freedoms of expression, assembly and press.

UNHRC: The Draft Resolution Proposed by the United States [08.04.2004]

On April the 2nd 2004, during the U.N. Human Rights Commission in Geneva, the U.S. Mission to the United Nations held a consultation to discuss the draft resolution on China’s human rights abuses, which the U.S. government planned to introduce to the U.N. Human Rights Conference. More than one hundred representatives from various governments’ and non-governmental organisations' missions to the United Nations participated in this consultation.

Radio Free Asia: Germany will Support US Resolution Condemning China’s Human Rights [04.04.2004]

On March 22nd, the US government put forward a resolution condemning China’s human rights. In response, the Chinese government not only put forward a White Paper to defend its position, but also tried to persuade some member African nations to shun the resolution. To gauge the reaction of the German society and government, RFA’s correspondent interviewed a Law scholar from the University of China, Ms Zheng Zhihong, now living in Berlin, on the evening of Tuesday 30th.

Speaking on behalf of the European Union at the 58th session of the Commission on Human Rights in Geneva, the Ambassador stated; "The persecution of...Falun Gong practitioners is particularly harsh and has led to a great number of cases of torture and deaths in custody."
