Switzerland: Anti-Torture Exhibition during a Parliament Meeting [22.06.2005]

On 8th June, a Swiss Parliament meeting was held and Falun Gong practitioners held another anti-torture exhibition and collected signatures in the busy streets. The persecution of Falun Gong in Mainland China got a lot worse recently, so Falun Gong practitioners urged the parliament members gathered in Bern to do all they can to help stop the persecution.

Switzerland: International Art Exhibition held in Basel [21.06.2005]

The Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition was held from May 2nd to May 5th 2005 in a Basel library that is situated in a park. There were large glass windows on both sides of the room, which allowed passersby to see the pictures from outside. It was the perfect place for the exhibition.

United Kingdom: "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance International Art Exhibition” in London [18.06.2005]

The "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance International Art Exhibition” was successfully held in central London between May 31st and June 3rd. The exhibition gallery was located in a traditional building just opposite the British Museum. The touching displays attracted many visitors including tourists from around the world.

Slovakia: People of Malacky learn about the CCP’s Persecution Against Falun Gong [17.06.2005]

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and distributed flyers to let more people know about the cruel persecution waged against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for the last six years. This persecution has taken over 2,500 lives, as practitioners have been systematically tortured to death at the hands of Chinese officials.

Germany: Sunny Weather and Bright Spirits in the Old Coastal Town of Rostock [17.06.2005]

Early in the morning of May 28th 2005, we arrived at the ancient University Square in Rostock and chose a shady spot for our Falun Gong information stall. We quickly finished setting up and soon the first passers-by received flyers with information about the persecution of Falun Gong by the Communist Government in China. We took turns demonstrating the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. We informed some of the nearby tradesmen about our activities and one of the practitioners walked around the busier shopping streets while distributing flyers.

Finland: Anti-Torture Exhibition Helps People See Through the Lies of the Chinese Communist Party [15.06.2005]

On June 14th 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from Sweden, Norway, Germany, Ukraine, Latvia, Russia, Spain, Italy and Taiwan attended an anti-torture exhibition held by Finnish practitioners in the central park of Helsinki. Most of the practitioners came directly from the European Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference that was held in Stockholm.

Germany: Local People Support the Anti-Torture Exhibition in Wuppertal [13.06.2005]

Falun Gong practitioners from the German state of North Rhine Westfalia held an anti-torture exhibition there. When passers-by saw posters depicting the cruel torture methods used in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs, they were shocked at the human rights violations happening in China.

Finland: Falun Gong Photo Exhibition Tours Lapland (Part 1) [12.06.2005]

During spring 2005, we contacted several libraries in Lapland and made inquiries about holding a Falun Gong photo exhibition. Several librarians were interested to hold an exhibition during the spring and summer. Most of them knew about Falun Gong already and those who didn’t were interested to hold the exhibition and find out more.

United Kingdom: Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition held in Central London [08.06.2005]

From the 31st of May to the 3rd of June, the Truthfulness, Compassion Forbearance International Art Exhibition was successfully held in central London. This special art exhibition is created by Falun Gong practitioner artists, many of whom have suffered vicious persecution first-hand in Chinese forced labour camps and prisons.

Russia: Photo Exhibition Successfully Held in Nizenyi Novgorod City [04.06.2005]

Many people came to look at the pictures and the practitioners talked with them about Falun Gong practice and the persecution that is happening in China. Local media interviewed the practitioners for their reports on the exhibition, including a news programme that has about three million viewers.

Spain: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Parla is Widely Supported [02.06.2005]

After hearing the truth of the persecution and the purpose of our activity, the police said, "The crime of genocide should never happen in the 21st Century. You can continue your activity, although you should normally apply for a permit in advance to hold such an activity. Your situation is really special.” After finding out more about the persecution, they also signed their names on the petition.

Germany: Anti-torture Exhibition and Information Day in Darmstadt [31.05.2005]

The exhibition included paintings from Falun Gong practitioners, many of whom have suffered persecution first-hand. People were drawn to the caged practitioner, re-enacting a torture scene that is used in cruel attempts to force practitioners in China to renounce their beliefs. They stopped to learn more about Falun Gong and the human rights abuses perpetrated by the Chinese Communist Party.

Germany: Attracting Public Attention with our Anti-torture Exhibition [28.05.2005]

It was a sunny Saturday spring morning when I arrived at the downtown Kassel Falun Gong information stall. Practitioners had chosen a great location, right in a busy pedestrian zone. The site was visible from many directions. The trams passed our information stall, which allowed many people to see our posters and the colourfully decorated display.

Sweden: Truth, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition Premiers at a Health Fair in Jönköping [26.05.2005]

All the visitors had the chance to see the exhibition since it was the only way in and out of the large exhibition hall. Many told us that they liked the paintings. One visitor stopped for almost an hour at the exhibition and talked with practitioners about Falun Gong and the persecution. Finally he said, “I don’t need to go into the fair, this is all I need.”

Turkey: "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance International Art Exhibition" Successfully Held in Ankara [24.05.2005]

Between the 7th and 12th of May, Falun Gong practitioners in Ankara successfully held the “Falun Dafa Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance International Art Exhibition” at the Epoch Arts Centre, the biggest and most famous state-owned exhibition hall. Over the six days of the exhibition, more than a thousand people attended.

United Kingdom: "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition Held in Cambridge [23.05.2005]

On 20th May 2005, the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition opened to the public in the Cambridge Union. Twenty four works of art by Falun Gong practitioners lined the corridors of this 200-year old building. Though students were bustling past, many also stopped in their tracks to take in the artistic pieces.

Turkey: "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance" painting exhibition held in Ankara [22.05.2005]

From May the7th to the 12th, the Falun Gong Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance International Painting Exhibition was successfully held at the biggest and famous Turkish national Time Art Centre in Ankara. During the five days many people visited the exhibition and learned about Falun Gong.

Hungary: First Anti-torture Exhibition in Budapest Draws Attention from the Public and the Media [14.05.2005]

A Chinese tourist from the U.S., having viewed the anti-torture exhibition, commented that she had visited many Falun Gong websites and that the CCP’s persecution is indeed outrageous. She remarked before leaving, “I admire your courage. China needs people like you to stand up and speak out. I Hope you will continue like this. I wish you success!”

France: Introducing Falun Gong in the Municipality of Le Moule Library in Guadeloupe [14.05.2005]

People were shocked and moved while looking at the photo display about Falun Gong and the human rights abuses waged against practitioners in Mainland China. They were moved by Falun Gong practitioners' compassion and spirit of perseverance and astonished at the severe persecution. Many people signed the petition to call for an end to the atrocities.

Interview: Falun Gong Exhibitions in Over Fifty Swedish Libraries [12.05.2005]

Since 2001, a practitioner from the west of Sweden has been driving around with an exhibition to libraries and health centres to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The exhibition has also been featured in many newspapers. In an interview with a reporter from Clear Harmony, the practitioner explains how he has benefited from practising Falun Gong and reveals what’s giving him the inspiration to hold these exhibitions.

Germany: “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance” Art Exhibition Held for the First Time [10.05.2005]

Although the members of the International Human Rights Association are familiar with the atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist Party, they found the shameless means used to suppress Falun Gong, the rampant persecution and the degree of brutality beyond their imagination, while seeing the twenty five paintings created to exposing the cruel persecution of Falun Gong.

Germany: To Commemorate the "4.25" Appeal, Practitioners Held an Anti-Torture Exhibition in Munich [09.05.2005]

On the 30th of April 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from various cities in south Germany, including Passau, Augsburg, Ulm and Munich, gathered at Karlsplatz in Munich. They organised an anti-torture exhibition to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the peaceful appeal by ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners on 25th April 1999.

Germany: In Commemoration of April 25th 1999, an Information Day and Anti-torture Exhibition were held in Hamburg [06.05.2005]

On April 25th 2005, exactly six years after 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners in China went to peacefully appeal for freedom and justice, North German practitioners held activities to call attention to the persecution of Falun Gong in China. It has been a long time since practitioners encountered such a sympathetic public as the one they found that day.

Ukraine: Art Exhibition Aroused Good Nature in People’s Hearts [06.05.2005]

From the 21st to the 24th of April 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from several cities in Ukraine went to the Art Museum in Vinnitsa city to hold the “Journey of Falun Dafa” photo exhibition. The exhibition was a great way for people in the city to find out what Falun Gong is and why the peaceful practice is being violently persecuted in China.

Ukraine: “The Journey of Falun Dafa” Exhibition in Globin City [05.05.2005]

Practitioners held the “Journey of Falun Dafa” exhibition in Ukraine’s Hlobyne. The exhibition displayed several photos about Falun Gong’s popularity in over sixty countries, as well as practitioners’ extraordinary perseverance in their peaceful struggle against the cruel persecution launched by the Jiang regime.

United Kingdom: To Commemorate the “4.25” Appeal, Practitioners held a Photo Exhibition Exposing the CCP’s Atrocities against Falun Gong [04.05.2005]

The photos revealed how Falun Gong practitioners in China are being subjected to brutal persecution. They also conveyed the reason behind the persecution: The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is notoriously known for its “falsity, evilness and violence”, principles that are very different from Falun Gong, which is based on “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.”

Ukraine: "Journey of Compassion" Painting Exhibition in Kramatorsk City [01.05.2005]

The "Journey of Compassion" painting exhibition took place in Kramatorsk city from the 15th to the 17th of April 2005. The exhibition showed work by artists who practise Falun Gong and the handicrafts created by Ukrainian Falun Gong practitioners. The delicate art work reflected the goodness and kindness that practitioners develop through practising Falun Gong.

Austria: Exposing the Persecution and Commemorating the "4.25" Peaceful Appeal [29.04.2005]

Austrian practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in the centre of Vienna to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the "4.25" peaceful appeal and to let people know about the persecution against Falun Gong in China. We prepared leaflets in ten languages so that most of the tourists could receive information in their native tongue.

Spain: Many People Sign a Petition Calling for an End to the Persecution after Viewing an Anti-torture Exhibition (2) [23.04.2005]

Spanish practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in La Rambla, downtown Barcelona. Many kind-hearted people signed a petition to support Falun Gong practitioners. Some asked for more flyers to give to their teachers, classmates, family members or colleagues, while others bought books and wanted to learn the exercises on the spot.

Italy: Anti-torture Exhibition Touches People’s Conscience in Milan [22.04.2005]

Italian practitioners went to Cardusio Square and held an anti-torture exhibition to let the public know about the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution against their fellow practitioners in China. They re-enacted two methods of torture used to force practitioners in China to give up their beliefs. Many tourist groups from Mainland China saw the exhibition.

Geneva: Demonstrating Methods of Torture and Taking a Close Look at the Persecution [20.04.2005]

Passers-by stopped and were shocked at the scene. The adjacent posters answered their questions. These two people were demonstrating one method of torture suffered by Falun Gong practitioners in China’s labour camps or prisons. The re-enacted method is a light one compared to some of the other kinds of torture methods used by the Chinese Communist Party in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs.

Spain: Many People Sign a Petition Calling for an End to the Persecution after Viewing an Anti-torture Exhibition (1) [20.04.2005]

The practitioners’ re-enactment of a few of the brutal torture methods used in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs shocked the Spanish people. People asked how they could help to stop the persecution. When they were told that their signatures were needed for the petition, they lined up to sign their names.

Italy: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Aosta City Receives People's Warm Support [18.04.2005]

On the streets in the town centre, we set up our display boards and held an anti-torture exhibition. Local people taking a walk at the weekend and tourists all stopped to watch the re-enactments of the torture methods employed by the Chinese Communist Party in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs.

Germany: Activities in Chamer to Raise Awareness of the Persecution [18.04.2005]

Lots of people in Chamer understand that Falun Gong is being wrongly persecuted. Nevertheless, it is still very hard for people living in free, democratic countries to imagine how a despotic communist regime controls the thoughts and behaviour of its citizens. So on the last weekend of March, practitioners decided to hold an anti-torture exhibition.

Russia: Anti-torture Exhibition at the Chinese Embassy to Call for an End to the Persecution [17.04.2005]

Practitioners from Moscow and other areas of Russia gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy. A series of information boards were put on display to exhibit the various forms of torture that the communist regime uses in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. They demanded that the persecution be stopped and the prime culprits be brought to justice.

Czech Republic: Anti-torture Exhibit Receives Public Support and Media Attention in Brno [16.04.2005]

On Friday the 8th of April, the peaceful sounds of Falun Dafa music spread through the Brno streets of Novobranska and Josefska. Practitioners from all over the Czech Republic, supported by a group of practitioners from England, gathered in Brno to tell the local people about the Chinese Communist Party‘s campaign of genocide against Falun Gong in China.

Ukraine: Journey of Compassion Painting Exhibition held in Konstantinovka [15.04.2005]

Practitioners in Ukraine recently staged a painting exhibition entitled the Journey of Compassion in Konstantinoyka City. Through watching the painting exhibition, many people felt angry after finding out about the cruel torture against Falun Gong practitioners initiated by the Chinese Communist Party. People signed their names on the petition form to support Falun Gong practitioners.

United Kingdom: Anti-torture Exhibition in Huddersfield Arouses People’s Sympathy [12.04.2005]

The purpose of this activity was to introduce Falun Gong to local residents and to tell them about the brutal persecution against the practice in China. The few torture methods re-enacted were just the tip of the iceberg; over 100 forms of torture are used under orders from the Chinese Communist Party.

Italy: Anti-torture Exhibition held in Cordusi Square to Expose the Persecution [06.04.2005]

On the 27th of February, a group of Falun Gong practitioners from Switzerland and Italy held an anti-torture exhibition in Milan’s Cordusi Square to expose the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners by former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party. A petition calling for Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang to be punished by a court of law for their crimes against humanity caught the attention of passers-by.

Ireland: Anti-torture Exhibition calls for the Safe Return of Imprisoned Practitioner Fang Yang [05.04.2005]

Dun Laoghaire is a beautiful sea-side town in south Dublin. Fang Yang, who was arrested when she went to appeal in China and is still not allowed to come back to Ireland, was a college student in Dun Laoghaire. Irish Falun Gong practitioners went to the town and held an anti-torture exhibition to get support for Fang Yang's safe return to Ireland.

Ukraine: Police Support the Anti-Torture Exhibition outside the Embassy [01.04.2005]

Practitioners in Ukraine held an anti-torture exhibition at the Chinese Embassy, hoping that more people would get to know about the cruel persecution against the spiritual practice in China. Two of the most common tortures used by the Chinese Communist Party in attempts to force practitioners to give up their beliefs were re-enacted.

Switzerland: "Uncompromising Courage" Art Exhibition Moves Visitors in Geneva [30.03.2005]

The 61st session of the UN Commission on Human Rights is currently convening in Geneva. At the same time, the "Uncompromising Courage" Art Exhibition sponsored by the Swiss Falun Dafa Association was unveiled on March 21st 2005, in the Grutli Art Centre, Geneva. The exhibition will be held for a month and conclude on April 22.

Germany: Anti-Torture Exhibition Awakens People's Hearts [30.03.2005]

In the background of this scene hung a banner, which contained photos of torture victims and a line reading “SOS! Rescue Falun Gong Practitioners: Deadly Torture in China.” An information stand was set up by German practitioners who hoped that they could bring people's attention to the suppression and brutal persecution happening in China.

Ukraine: People from Slavic City Enjoy a Falun Gong Painting Exhibition [28.03.2005]

Ukrainian practitioners held a painting exhibition on March 22nd in Slavic City. They also put on a video screening of Master Li’s nine day lecture. Many visitors who attended the exhibition learned about the persecution that the 100 million Falun Gong practitioners in China have been suffering for the last six years.

Russia: Learning about Falun Gong and the Persecution through a Painting Exhibition in Stavropol [26.03.2005]

Practitioners from Stavropol put on a painting exhibition. Practitioners’ paintings, replicas of art works from the International “Truthfulness, Compassion, Benevolence” Painting Exhibition and pictures describing the persecution of Falun Gong in China were put on display. A dance performance and poetry recitals also accompanied the art works.

Switzerland: Practitioners hold an Anti-torture Exhibition during a Parliamentary Meeting in Bern [25.03.2005]

During the United Nations Human Rights Convention, a meeting of the Swiss Parliament was held in the capital city of Bern. To let more people know about the campaign of genocide being waged against Falun Gong practitioners in China, Swiss practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in the city centre on 17th March. A similar exhibition was held in front of the United Nations building.

Switzerland: Anti-Torture Exhibition held outside the United Nations Building during the UN Human Rights Commission [22.03.2005]

On the 14th of March, the annual United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) opened in Geneva. Dafa practitioners in Switzerland applied to hold an anti-torture exhibition in the afternoon of the 16th of March. They exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s atrocious persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to the people taking part in the UNHRC.

Ukraine: “The Journey of Compassion” Exhibition receives Public Support [22.03.2005]

Ukrainian practitioners held a painting exhibition in the Slavic City Library. Visitors took a deep interest in Falun Gong and asked questions to find out more about the persecution against practitioners in China. Those who came to understand the facts were shocked by the severity of the persecution against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party.

United Kingdom: Media and Public Support for the First Anti-Torture Exhibition in Belfast [21.03.2005]

On March 4th and 5th, Falun Gong practitioners from Scotland, England and Ireland held an anti-torture exhibition in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. Before holding the exhibition, practitioners sent out an invitation letter to all UK MPs, MEPs, libraries, police stations, city councillors and some other non-governmental organisations.

United Kingdom: The People of Liverpool Show their Support for China’s Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners [17.03.2005]

On Saturday 12th March, UK practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in Liverpool. The event, which took place in the busiest part of the city centre, attracted a great deal of attention, drawing people away from their shopping to find out more about the persecution against the peaceful meditative practice Falun Gong in China.
