Switzerland: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Basel Exposes the Brutal Persecution of Falun Gong in China [04.10.2004]

To expose the Jiang regime’s crime of persecuting Dafa practitioners and to let more people know what's happening in China, Swiss practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in a square in the centre of the famous industrial city of Basel on September the 18th. They distributed leaflets and Video-CDs, and answered people’s questions.

Germany: The Munich Beer Festival Attracts Tourists to an Anti-Torture Exhibition [01.10.2004]

The 18th of September was the opening day of the 171st Munich Beer Festival, which lasts for sixteen days. Tourists from all over Germany and the world travelled to Munich to take part. Falun Gong practitioners held an information day and anti-torture exhibition to show people how Jiang Zemin uses his regime to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Germany: People Ask Practitioners, "What Can We Do To Help You?" at Anti-Torture Exhibition in Nuremberg [22.09.2004]

On the 11th of September, practitioners from Bavaria obtained permission for an information day to introduce Falun Gong and expose to the general public the ongoing torture of practitioners in China. We also collected signatures in support of suing Jiang Zemin for genocide of Falun Gong practitioners.

Belgium: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Brussels City Centre Moves People's Hearts [21.09.2004]

On the afternoon of September the 11th, practitioners from Holland, France and Belgium held an anti-torture exhibition in Brussels city centre, displaying to the public torture methods used on Falun Gong practitioners in China. People were all very eager to know more about the situation and listened carefully to practitioners' explanations.

Slovakia: Exposing Jiang's Crimes with an Anti-Torture Exhibition in Bratislava [20.09.2004]

On Saturday the 18th of September, Falun Gong practitioners from Slovakia and the Czech Republic organised an activity to attract the attention of the public: they demonstrated the torture methods which are used on practitioners of Falun Gong in China. Many passers-by stopped to read information on the display boards next to the torture exhibits.

Sweden: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Gothenburg Arouses the Public's Kindness [13.09.2004]

Gothenburg is the second largest city in Sweden and a well-known business centre in Europe. To clarify the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, practitioners from Sweden, Denmark and Finland held a series of anti-torture exhibitions at Gustav Adolf Torg, the square in front of the city hall of Gothenburg on August 27th, 28th and September 3rd.

Ukraine: "The Path of Compassion" Picture Exhibition Successfully Held in Lviv City [05.09.2004]

Between the 11th and 19th of August 2004, Ukrainian practitioners successfully held an exhibition of photographs entitled “The Path of Compassion” in Lviv City. The exhibition served to help people understand Falun Dafa cultivation and the persecution that is taking place in China.

United Kingdom: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Cambridge Exposes the Genocide Against Falun Gong [22.08.2004]

On Saturday August the 21st, an anti-torture exhibition with the theme "Persecution Meets Principle" was held in the centre of Cambridge. Practitioners demonstrated several torture methods used against Falun Gong practitioners in Chinese jails and labour camps to force them to renounce their belief in Falun Gong.

Switzerland: Dafa Practitioners Hold an Anti-Torture Exhibition in Switzerland’s Biggest City Zurich [15.08.2004]

The Swiss practitioners told Swiss people about the five years of persecution that have been waged against the 100 million people who practise Falun Gong in China. They asked people to join them in calling for an end to these violations of human rights. Swiss politicians and NGO representatives made speeches to express their support for Falun Gong practitioners’ peaceful resistance to this persecution.

Russia: Dafa practitioners hold an Anti-Torture Exhibition during Bo Xilai’s Visit to Moscow [13.08.2004]

On the 4th of August 2004, practitioners gathered at Moscow’s marketplace, where Chinese people are the primary ethnic group, and appealed outside the Chinese Embassy against Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. There were also protests against Jiang’s accomplice Bo Xilai's visit to Moscow.

United Kingdom: Torture Methods used on Falun Gong Practitioners Displayed in an Exhibition in Edinburgh [08.08.2004]

On the evening of the 7th of August 2004, Falun Gong practitioners staged an anti-torture exhibition, showed the exercises of Falun Gong and collected signatures via the use of petitions to bring Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin to justice. The yearly Edinburgh Tattoo event was a great chance to show many tourists and also the people of Edinburgh the truth about Falun Gong.

United Kingdom: Anti-Torture Exhibition during Edinburgh Tattoo Draws Lots of Media and Public Attention [07.08.2004]

On the afternoon and evening of Friday the 6th of August, an anti-torture exhibition was held by Falun Gong practitioners in Edinburgh. This coincided with the world-renowned Edinburgh Military Tattoo event. The exhibition focused on a few of the hundreds of brutal torture methods used by the Jiang Regime to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Norway: Practitioners hold an Anti-Torture Exhibition and Receive Positive Media Coverage [03.08.2004]

On the 23rd and 24th of July 2004, practitioners from Norway, Sweden and Demark held a two-day exhibition of some of the torture methods that the Jiang Regime uses to force Falun Gong practitioners in China to give up their beliefs. The exhibition involved acting out these torture methods and took place at the Parliament buildings and the city centre.

Ireland: Exposing the Torture Methods Used Against Falun Gong Practitioners in China [20.07.2004]

On Saturday July 17th in Dublin, a group of Falun Dafa practitioners held an Anti-Torture exhibition demonstrating the methods used in Chinese labour camps, prisons and detention centres to force practitioners to give up their belief. The exhibition took place in the centre of Dublin on Dublin’s busiest thoroughfare. Crowds of people watched the display in disbelief at the horror of what is happening in China today.

Finland: Practitioners in Finland Expose the Brutality of the Five Years of Persecution Against Falun Gong with a Live Anti-Torture Exhibition (Part I) [20.07.2004]

On Sunday the 18th of July, practitioners from Nordic countries held activities in Helsinki Central Park to appeal for an end to this persecution. Five years ago in July 1999, Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin banned Falun Gong in China and launched a systematic and vicious campaign of genocide, which has claimed more than a thousand innocent lives to this day.

United Kingdom: Photo Report - Persecution Meets Principle Opposite the Houses of Parliament [20.07.2004]

On Sunday the 18th of July, Falun Gong practitioners in the UK held an exhibition of the torture methods used against their fellow practitioners in China. The exhibition was entitled "Persecution Meets Principle" and it exposed the sharp contrasts between the five years of genocide against Falun Gong in China, and the peaceful practice of Falun Gong.

United Kingdom: Photo Report – First UK Anti-Torture Exhibition held Opposite the Houses of Parliament [19.07.2004]

On Sunday July the 18th, UK Falun Gong practitioners staged an anti-torture exhibition opposite the Houses of Parliament in London. People took leaflets and talked with practitioners to learn more about the situation, and many signed a petition calling for the chief instigator of this persecution, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, to be brought to justice.

Dafa Practitioners from Many European Countries Alert Public Attention to the Persecution of Falun Gong on the International Day to Support Torture Victims [30.06.2004]

Mr. Theo van Boven, an expert on torture from the UN, passed an annual statement to the UN Human Right Committee in March this year. The statement included the 420 page edited short reports about torture and ill-treatment, gathering information on torture from 115 countries around the world. The report about China was the longest, recording over 130 ill-treatment cases, in which over 100 cases were related to Falun Gong practitioners. This statement was formally published on March 23rd, 2004.

Switzerland: Zhang Cuiying’s Art Exhibition in Switzerland [12.05.2004]

After Zhang Cuiying’s art exhibition in Brugg, Switzerland, came to an end on May 3rd, another exhibition opened in Switzerland at Fribourg University. The Freiburger Nachrichten newspaper took the lead in reporting details of the art exhibition and the story of Ms Zhang, a Falun Gong practitioner who was persecuted in China by Jiang Zemin's political regime.

Czech Republic: Zhang Cuiying holds an Exhibition in the Czech Parliament and visits the Office of the Czech President [02.05.2004]

In February 2004, an exhibition of the paintings of Australian Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Cuiying was held for five days on all three floors of the Atrium of the Czech Parliament in the Waldstein Palace. Many MPs, VIPs, parliamentary officials, members of the public and a reporter attended the opening of Zhang Cuiying’s exhibition.

Russia: Exposing the Evil Persecution through an Art Exhibition [03.04.2004]

Chinese artist Zhang Cuiying returned once again to Russia to exhibit her paintings. She had just successfully held an art exhibition in a large city in Eastern Siberia. Mrs Zhang then went on to Pjatigorsk City in the Caucasus Mountains, which is a journey of about ten thousand miles. The exhibition was held at the central library on March the 22nd. Before the opening ceremony began, many people were already gathering inside the exhibition hall. All wanted to admire Mrs Zhang’s wonderful pictures.

A Successful Photo Exhibition in the University of Geneva [30.03.2004]

During the 60th session of the United Nations Human Rights Commission, the Falun Gong Association of Geneva University held an exhibition of photographs entitled, “Falun Dafa and Human Rights” on campus. Quite a few students already knew a bit about the persecution of Falun Gong in China, but the cruelty and barbarity were beyond their imagination.

Poland: Falun Gong Practitioner’s Painting Exhibition Brings Brilliance to Ancient Warsaw [27.03.2004]

At the beginning of March, Ms Zhang Cuiying, a well-known artist of traditional Chinese painting from Australia, held a two-day exhibition in the Polish capital. MP Paul Poslus made an opening speech at the exhibition. Many representatives of the media, including Polish National Television, TVP, RMF-FM radio, the Polish Daily and Journal, reported on the exhibition.

Romania: Falun Gong Practitioner Zhang Cuiying's Art Exhibition World Tour continues in Bucharest [23.03.2004]

Zhang Cuiying concluded the Romanian leg of her world tour art exhibition in Bucharest on 11th of March 2004. Ms Zhang’s paintings received a warm welcome from the audience. People were so impressed that many of them came back to the exhibition a second time and brought their friends.

Ukraine: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold "Journey of Falun Dafa" Photo Exhibition [22.03.2004]

From March the 3rd to the 16th, Ukrainian Falun Gong practitioners successfully held a "Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibition in a history museum. Many people came to the photo exhibition and the practitioners showed them around, explained the principles of Falun Dafa, described the benefits of practising Falun Dafa and exposed the brutal persecution of practitioners in China.

Poland: Falun Gong Practitioner Zhang Cuiying held a Painting Exhibition in Warsaw and Received a Warm Response [20.03.2004]

Zhang Cuiying, a well-known traditional Chinese artist, ended her painting exhibition in Warsaw on the 5th of March with a notable success. Her two-day exhibition of over fifty fine paintings attracted a large audience and was reported by TVP, a national TV broadcaster, the Polish Daily, Journal and RMF-FM Radio.

Romania: Falun Gong Practitioner Successfully Holds a World Tour of her Art Exhibition [18.03.2004]

On International Women’s Day, Zhang Cuiying successfully held the opening ceremony of her painting exhibition world tour in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. This is the first time that Cuiying has managed to successfully hold a painting exhibition in Romania. One lady from the Romanian National Women’s Association smiled and thanked Cuiying for bringing such beautiful things to Romania.

Ukraine: Second "Falun Dafa Around The World" Picture Exhibition Is held at Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky [07.03.2004]

A photo exhibition entitled "Falun Dafa Around The World" was held at Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky in Ukraine from January the 23rd to January the 28th 2004. One hundred and twenty pictures were put on display. The picture exhibition was organised by Ukrainian Dafa practitioners, who have benefited greatly from learning Falun Dafa.

French TV Report on “Spring Telling” Exhibition Explains the Facts About Falun Gong [07.03.2004]

A French TV station recently reported on Falun Gong practitioners' participation in the recent “Spring Telling” Exhibition in France. This provided a chance to clear the good name of Falun Gong and to explain the facts about the nature of Falun Gong and the persecution. This TV report was a significant opportunity to clear out the poisonous lies behind which the Jiang regime has hidden its evil persecution from the conscience of the world's people and the condemnation of the international community.

Czech Republic: Zhang Cuiying holds a Successful Exhibition in the Parliament [04.03.2004]

Between January the 23rd and January the 27th, Chinese-Australian painter Zhang Cuiying’s art exhibition could be seen inside the Parliament building of the Czech Republic in Prague. Mrs. Zhang, known for both her beautiful traditional Chinese art and her time in a Chinese labour camp after peacefully speaking out against the persecution of the Chinese spiritual practice of Falun Dafa, is currently on a European tour with her paintings. During the tour, she is also bringing attention to the serious human rights violations against Falun Gong practitioners by telling her own story and talking about the harsh situation that many Falun Dafa practitioners are enduring in Mainland China.

France: Promoting Falun Gong in Lyon, the Second Largest City in France [02.03.2004]

French Falun Dafa practitioners ran a stall in the Lyon “Spring Call” Exhibition last weekend, from February the 20th to the 22nd. Lyon is the second largest city in France. Practitioners had the opportunity to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises and explain the ongoing persecution in China to approximately forty thousand people who visited the exhibition.

Finland: Practitioner’s Artwork and Testimony of Persecution Raise Public Awareness of Falun Gong and Situation in China [14.02.2004]

Australian practitioner and artist Zhang Cuiying travelled to Finland to help call on the Finnish people to pay attention to the basic human rights of persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China. She was imprisoned and tortured by Jiang Zemin’s regime; she used her personal testimony to raise awareness.

Successful Chinese Art Exhibition was held during the Stockholm International Conference on “Genocide in the New Era” [10.02.2004]

During the International Conference on "Genocide in the New Era", renowned Chinese artist Zhang Cuiying held an exhibition of her paintings in a gallery near the conference venue. Conference participants from Asia, Africa, Latin America and North America visited the exhibition. A Swedish national TV station produced an interesting report on the painting exhibition.

Russia Dafa Practitioners Participate in the "2003 Sarov Symposium" [01.01.2004]

On December the 10th 2003, International human rights day, the annual “Sarov Symposium” was held in St. Petersburg. Human rights organisations, city congressmen and the media attended the symposium. Representatives of the Russian Falun Dafa Association were also invited to attend and to give a report about Falun Dafa. After learning the facts, those in attendance were “deeply shocked”.

Ukraine: Falun Dafa Practitioners Invited to Attend the “Benevolence” Expo in Kiev [16.12.2003]

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises daily at the expo and many people learned more about Falun Dafa. Some of the practitioners organised performances such as dances, songs and poems. The management felt that Falun Gong was the most positive group and awarded practitioners with a Prize Certificate.

Finland: Successful Exhibition held in Helsinki [06.12.2003]

A Falun Dafa photo exhibition was recently held in a library in Helsinki, the capital city of Finland. The exhibition explains how Falun Gong was banned by Jiang Zemin, and how he launched a cruel persecution against its practitioners. The huge contrast between the evilness of the persecution and the beauty and peacefulness of Falun Gong can be seen very clearly.

Austria: Dafa Practitioners Again Invited to the Annual Health Expo in Vienna [02.12.2003]

The peaceful exercises interested many audience members and some asked how they could learn how to practise. After learning about the persecution, a lot of people signed a petition to rescue Xiong Wei, a German practitioner currently being detained in China. Many people stood in front of the display boards that exposed Jiang’s crimes, for a long time. The horrific torture depicted on the boards formed a sharp contrast to the beauty of the Dafa exercises.

Bulgaria: Falun Gong practitioners’ Painting Exhibition is Cancelled due to Pressure from the Chinese Embassy [29.10.2003]

Mrs. Snezhina Chipeva MP expressed her astonishment at the cancellation of the painting exhibition under pressure from the Chinese Embassy. She also prepared an enthusiastic speech for the exhibition’s opening ceremony. She believed the cancellation of the exhibition is “interference in Bulgaria’s domestic affairs”. Many members of parliament questioned the Parliament’s Secretary General, and demanded an explanation of this issue. Just as a reporter stated, “The event is not over yet. I feel it will influence Bulgaria’s future. It is very dangerous for a government to place economic interests over human rights.”

Bulgaria: Falun Gong Practitioners Successfully Hold a Painting Exhibition [27.10.2003]

Last week the Chinese embassy blocked a painting exhibition of Zhang Cuiying, a traditional Chinese artist and Falun Gong practitioner. After this was revealed to the public, many Bulgarian MPs, citizens and journalists condemned the Chinese embassy’s behaviour. With justice on her side, Ms. Zhang’s painting exhibition went ahead successfully.

Macedonia: Painting Exhibition is a Great Success [15.10.2003]

At the opening ceremony, the secretary of the Artists’ Association introduced the exhibition and a practitioner described Zhang Cuiying and Falun Gong in more detail. Afterwards, practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. One of the guests said that she felt so peaceful that she closed her eyes and put her hands in the Jieyin position.

Germany: "Zhuan Falun" is Exhibited at the World’s Largest Book Fair [14.10.2003]

Among the audience, the most noticeable were tourists and employees from participating companies from China. When they saw “Zhuan Falun” published with different colours in various languages, they all stared at the books with open eyes. Practitioners went to talk to them.

Germany: Falun Dafa Information Day in Eckernfoerde [12.10.2003]

People were surprised and could not quite understand why Falun Dafa is being persecuted. They expressed sympathy for the practitioners who are still being persecuted in China and immediately signed a petition to end this persecution. Passers-by also felt that China’s dictator, Jiang Zemin, should be brought to justice and held responsible for his actions.

Sweden: Exhibition informing People about Falun Gong [12.10.2003]

Over summer and autumn, practitioners in the city of Gävle held an exhibition about Falun Gong in several different venues. The exhibition portrays the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and lets people know more about the lawsuits filed in several European countries against Jiang Zemin and members of his regime.

Russia: Experiences during the Fourth Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference in Moscow [07.10.2003]

Outside the conference, three art exhibitions were on display and in the evening practitioners put on a performance for the people of Moscow. This included the elegant traditional Chinese “Fan Dance” and “Lotus Dance”, piano recitals and a graceful ballet. There was also singing and music. All of the performances focused on a theme: “Falun Dafa is good”. Many people in the audience felt that they had witnessed a first-rate performance. At the end, they stayed behind to chat with the practitioners.

Albania: Report on a Successful Art Exhibition in the Capital City of Tirana [06.10.2003]

Guests who attended the opening ceremony were artists, officials from embassies to Albania, university professors, representatives from human rights organisations, government officials, etc. Reporters were sent to the ceremony from the main media outlets. A local radio station arranged an interview with practitioners after they heard about the exhibition.

Germany: Picture Exhibition Exposing Jiang's Crimes of Genocide at Tourist Spots [03.10.2003]

People were shocked: How could this be happening in China? The reason for the persecution is simply because so many Falun Gong practitioners were trying to be good people. One after another, the Chinese visitors started to sign their names on a signature collection book that is being used to bring Jiang to justice and to rescue Xiong Wei, a German practitioner currently being illegally detained in China.

Albania: Zhang Cuiying’s Art Exhibition was held in Tirana [30.09.2003]

Guests included government officials, officials from the consulates and Embassies in Tirana, artists, university professors and the media. The exhibition attracted strong interest from the mainstream media and the principle TV stations, including the national TV channel. The media reported on the art exhibition on September the 23rd, and many people later came to the exhibition as a result of these reports.

Sweden: Falun Gong Picture Exhibition Held in Lindome Library [30.09.2003]

The exhibition is currently being held at the Lindome Municipal Library. Practitioners went to the nearby city centre to let people know about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution of practitioners in China. People stopped to talk with practitioners and many were pleased to learn more.

Germany: The Demand for Multi-Lingual Dafa Leaflets exceeds the Supply [26.09.2003]

A TV station filmed practitioners for a long time; tourists from China readily accepted materials, and were extremely surprised to see Falun Dafa banners; an elderly gentleman persisted in trying to obtain the exercise videotape, saying, “I’m sure it is definitely good, I am determined to learn.” The leaflets, in 20 different languages, were soon completely gone.
