On the agenda were the results of the EU-China human rights dialogue, which took place in Dublin in February. European Falun Dafa practitioners used this opportunity to let the foreign ministers, the media and the local Irish people learn more about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution in China.

On April the 15th, when the Chinese Foreign Minister visited Sweden, practitioners gathered in front of the Swedish Parliament, appealed for an end of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, told the truth about the persecution to the people passing by, and demanded that those responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners be brought to justice.

Many Chinese people visit Irkutsk. Most go to the shopping square downtown. In the beginning, they were not very interested in the truth-clarification materials that we had placed in the shops, but now it is much better. Most are willing to take the newspapers and Video-CDs that explain the truth about Falun Gong. We also hang up banners reading “Falun Dafa is good”, “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance” and “Falun Dafa will bring you a Beautiful Future.”

On March the 22nd 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in Helsinki appealed at the Chinese Embassy calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China and for the chief criminals responsible for instigating this atrocity to be brought to justice. Legal action has already been taken against them in several countries.

A lot of people looked carefully at the Dafa display boards and chatted about their contents. They were deeply shocked by the pictures detailing cruel torture. A lot of people signed their names on a petition form straight away after seeing the display boards and voluntarily asked for information in different languages.

"These people are all genuine, they come from all around the world, because from their hearts they really want the leaders of the world to look at and position themselves in the right way regarding this persecution. It’s not just about a bunch of people in China who are being persecuted. The reason they are being persecuted is because they practise Truthfulness Compassion and Tolerance. We’re giving the international community the chance to stand up and say, “these three principles of Truthfulness Compassion and Tolerance, you can’t persecute them. Don’t do that”"

On Monday March the 15th 2004, the first day of the 60th annual United Nations Human Rights Commission meeting, more than five hundred Falun Gong practitioners arrived from more than 20 countries around the world. They wanted to appeal to the United Nations, governments and non-governmental organisations to help bring an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Every now and then people passing the Chinese Embassy in Athens see a peaceful demonstration of banners, pictures and gentle meditation, giving them a good chance to learn more about Dafa and the evil persecution that is taking place in China.

Within only two of months, several more Falun Gong practitioners have died because of brutal persecution in China. Falun Gong practitioners all over the world have held demonstrations to protest against this cruel escalation. On February 24, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners from several German cities gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in Bonn. They performed Falun Gong peaceful exercises, and distributed flyers to passers-by to explain about the truth of persecution.

Practitioners rallied at the Chinese Embassy in Moscow to protest against Jiang Zemin and his cohorts for recently intensifying the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China. Practitioners called for an end to the persecution and demanded that the chief perpetrator Jiang and his accomplices Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang be brought to justice.

Over the past few weeks, Jiang’s regime has intensified the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. As a result, the number of Falun Gong practitioners killed due to this persecution suddenly increased to 901. Falun Dafa practitioners in Latvia held a peaceful appeal outside the Chinese Consulate on February the 22nd 2004, in response to this situation.

Over the past few months, several dozen Falun Gong practitioners have been confirmed dead from the severe persecution in China. On February the 22nd 2004, Spanish Falun Dafa practitioners from Barcelona went to the Chinese Consulate in Barcelona to peacefully protest against the Jiang regime's unbridled persecution of innocent and kind Falun Gong practitioners.

The European Union Human Rights Dialogue with China drew attention from every major human rights organisation. Falun Gong practitioners in Ireland held a peaceful appeal outside the conference hall in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They appealed for Jiang's regime to free two practitioners, Liu Feng and Yang Fang, who are not allowed to leave China and return to their studies in Ireland.

Recently, more than twenty more Falun Gong practitioners were persecuted to death by the Jiang regime within one month, bringing the total number of verified deaths to 896. On Saturday, practitioners from Riga, the capital of Latvia, gathered near the Chinese Embassy to expose the illegal actions of the Jiang regime and call for the culprits to be brought to justice.

Upon hearing about the Chinese regime’s escalating oppression against Falun Gong, Norwegian practitioners appealed on February the 23rd outside the Chinese Embassy. They called on the world to bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang to justice for their heinous crimes in persecuting Falun Gong.

Practitioners held a peaceful protest outside the Chinese Embassy in Spain, to highlight the escalating persecution against Falun Gong in China, which has seen a recent increase in arrests and killings. They strongly appealed to bring Jiang Zemin, the main culprit responsible for the genocide against Falun Gong, to justice together with his accomplices Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang.

'Chilly and rainy weather did not prevent the Falun Gong group demonstrating their Falun Gong exercises in the pedestrian area of the city of Bremen. “We were trying to help more people become aware of the heinous persecution against millions of Falun Gong practitioners in China, so as to bring it to an end soon,” Tina and Sebastian emphasised.'

Between November 2003 and January 2004, reliable sources in China reported details of sixty four Falun Gong practitioners who died from severe torture in Chinese detention centres and labour camps. Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful protest outside the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, calling for Jiang Zemin, the main villain responsible for genocide against Falun Gong in China, and his accomplices Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang, to be brought to justice.

On the 20th of February 2004, Swedish Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy in Stockholm. Their presence was once again to appeal for Jiang Zemin, the chief perpetrator of the persecution against Falun Gong, and his main accomplices, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang, to be dealt with according to the rule of law.

After the unreasonable arrest of Falun Gong practitioners during Hu Jintao’s January visit to Paris, French practitioners have been distributing materials to the citizens of Paris, revealing the recent incidents that happened locally and the Genocide the Jiang regime is carrying out against Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioners appealed for the chief culprits responsible for the persecution to be immediately brought to justice. Practitioners hope that all levels of Chinese officials and international circles will get to know the facts of the Jiang regime’s kidnapping and torturing of Falun Gong practitioners, thereby helping to stop the persecution in China.

Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful protest outside the Chinese Embassy and the Chinese Consulate in Stockholm, to protest against the worsening of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, as more arrests and killings continue, demanding to bring Jiang Zemin and his cohorts to justice.

Reports show 26 Falun Gong practitioners died from torture in China during the past three months, and now the Chinese police are starting a new round of large-scale arrests. As more killings occur, a second candlelight vigil was held by Falun Gong practitioners in Austria to call for an end to the persecution and to demand Jiang Zemin be brought to justice.

French Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful protest outside the Chinese embassy and the Chinese consulate in Paris, to protest against the worsening of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, as more arrests and killing continue to be reported. They demanded bringing Jiang Zemin, together with his accomplices Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang, to justice.

Falun Gong practitioners gathered at 10:00 in the morning of the 17th of February 2004 outside the Chinese consulate in Gotheburg. They were calling for the end of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, and demanding Jiang Zemin, the main culprit accused of Genocide together with his accomplices Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang, to be brought to justice.

From November 2003 to January 2004, at least 26 Falun Gong practitioners were tortured to death in prisons or labour camps. On February 16, Falun Gong practitioners in Berlin gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy to mourn for those victims and strongly call on the Chinese government to bring the persecutors of Falun Gong to justice.

Recently, there has been a sharp increase in the number of Falun Gong practitioners tortured to death with more being arrested and subjected to torture in China. After they heard this news, some Falun Gong practitioners in Holland went to appeal in front of the Chinese Embassy in Holland.

Recently, we learned in news from China that 60 more of our fellow practitioners died as a result of the persecution. On February the 15th 2004, practitioners in Italy arrived outside the Chinese Consulate in Milan, strongly calling for bringing the chief perpetrator Jiang Zemin and his accomplices Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang to justice.

German practitioners gathered at the Hamburg Chinese Consulate to appeal to the Chinese Government to bring Jiang Zemin, the prime culprit of the persecution against Falun Gong, to justice. They also appealed for an immediate end to the Jiang regime’s persecution of Falun Gong, which has lasted for over four years.

On the 16th of February 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners in Helsinki appealed at the Chinese Embassy, calling for an end to the Jiang regime’s persecution of Falun Gong. The practitioners also delivered a letter to the Chinese the Ambassador about the recent successful lawsuit against a Chinese Consular official in Canada.

Outside the parliament building, the practitioners’ appeal and exercise demonstration was peaceful and serene. Local media reporters were present and MEPs from different countries stopped to get more information from the practitioners. Lots of practitioners met MEPs from their own countries who said they would pay close attention to the recent incidents in France.

On February 14, Falun Gong practitioners from the United Kingdom held a press conference and candlelight vigil to protest the Chinese authorities' brutal persecution of Dafa practitioners during the last three months. Practitioners called to bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang to justice.

It was learned that more Falun Gong practitioners were recently unlawfully arrested, tortured and even killed in China recently. On the afternoon of February the 13th, Falun Dafa practitioners from Ireland unfurled banners in front of the Chinese Embassy. They called upon people from all walks of life to jointly resist and expose the evildoings of those who persecute Falun Gong.

On the afternoon of the 10th of February 2004, European Falun Dafa practitioners urgently appealed to the European Parliament in Strasbourg regarding the recent unjust detention of Falun Dafa practitioners in France. Practitioners displayed large amounts of materials revealing the truth about the Paris incident.

On the 1st of February, 2001, a press release was distributed to major media organisations in Germany by the German Falun Gong Information Centre. It stated that about fifty people wearing yellow clothing had been arrested in the Sino-French New Year celebration activities in Paris. Last week and this week, German Falun Gong practitioners who were arrested in Paris went to the French Embassy in Berlin and consulates in Munich, Frankfurt, Saarbruecken, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Hannover and Leipzig one after another to present appeal letters to the French officials and ask them to forward the letters to the French Government.

On Friday 6th February, they assembled outside the French Embassy in Oslo to distribute flyers, perform the Falun Gong exercises and deliver a letter to the embassy. A Norwegian practitioner was among those unjustly arrested in Paris, so she delivered a statement about her arrest. On the following day, the practitioners distributed flyers in front of Stortinget (the Parliament).

On February the 6th 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners staged a peaceful demonstration at the French Embassy in Sweden, calling on the French government to immediately investigate the facts behind these unlawful arrests. They hope that the damage to human rights and the dignity of France can be undone.

On Sunday February 8th, 2004, approximately one hundred practitioners from around Europe gathered at the Place du Chatalet in Paris. The purpose was to raise public awareness of how the French Authorities had recently bowed to the Jiang Regime and arrested Falun Gong practitioners just for wearing yellow scarves during the Chinese New Year celebrations.

On the evening of January the 23rd, clear calls of "Happy New Year, Master!" and "Falun Dafa is good!" were heard in front of the glittering Eiffel Tower. Piercing through the cloudy, cold evening Paris sky, these calls seemed to echo across the colossal firmament, breaking through layers of cosmic barriers. They represented the heartfelt wishes of Dafa disciples from various European countries and Taiwan.

As a result of pressure from China, permission for Falun Gong to hold activities during the Chinese New Year was withdrawn despite practitioners obtaining the permission through the proper channels. This has caused an infingement upon the public rights of a legal group in France.

Over the past year, Dafa disciples in Switzerland have been promoting Falun Gong and clarifying the facts about the persecution in China to the public as much as possible. During the process, many touching stories have unfolded. These stories, although minor, encourage practitioners to continue with their efforts to help more people have the opportunity to know about Falun Gong and to learn the truth about the situation in China.

On January the 16th, UK and Cambridge Chinese Student together with the Scholar’s Associations organised a 2004 Spring Festive Gala. Over 1300 people attended the show. Falun Gong practitioners also joined in the celebrations, and displayed Dafa programmes on a colour TV near the entrance. This added to the festive spirit of the activities.

To mourn Liu Chengchun’s death and to protest against Jiang’s persecution of Falun Gong, Dafa practitioners from several cities in Latvia gathered at the Chinese Embassy in Riga city to peacefully appeal. Practitioners called for the wicked people that are responsible for the persecution to be severely punished.

“We are all government officials. We feel angry but don’t dare to speak out. If we take Falun Gong materials, we will be influenced. Please do not resent us. We have to follow the government. Don’t be misled or bothered by our cold facial expressions. We know the situation in China is very cruel. It is not hard to imagine. Thank you very much, and we wish you happiness and peacefulness.”

Since Jiang Zemin persecuted Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners in July 1999, intellectuals, who are usually treated as the foundations of a country,have found themselves unable to escape suppression and abuse. Innumerable students, teachers and employers in the institutes of higher education have been suspended from their jobs or studies to be brainwashed or sentenced to labour camps, or even became destitute and homeless.
