This evening, practitioners gathered outside the Chinese Embassy in London, to call for an end to the killing of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Despite the cold weather, and very short notice, practitioners from different parts of the country came to protest at the alarming number of recent death cases of Falun Gong practitioners in China, and to demand an end to the Jiang regime’s three year long campaign of terror against innocent and kind-hearted people.

UK Dafa practitioners have currently been outside the embassy in London constantly for more than six-months. Throughout the appeal, practitioners have experienced many physical and mental tests, however the appeal will continue until Jiang’s regime stops its persecution of innocent Falun Dafa practitioners.

The practitioners hoped that the Embassy staff could see through the lies forced on them by Jiang’s regime and learn that practitioners are good people who merely want to practise Falun Dafa without the threat of persecution, arrest, torture and even death.

On December 22 2002, some Swiss Dafa practitioners overcame many difficulties, and gathered outside Chinese Embassy in Switzerland to do the Falun Gong exercises and send forth righteous thoughts to join in the worldwide activities against the Article 23 legislation in Hong Kong.

On 18 and 19 of December, more than 50 Falun Dafa practitioners gathered in front of the European Parliament building in Strasbourg, France. They practised the Falun Gong exercises and together called upon the European Parliament to publicly denounce the enactment of Article 23 in Hong Kong.

Zurich is the sister city of Kuming in China. Falun Gong practitioners in Zurich are very concerned about the practitioners in Kunming who are suffering beatings, torture, illegal imprisonment and even death at the hands of Jiang Zemin’s regime. They have drafted a petition to request the Zurich City Council to pass a resolution to appeal for an end to Kunming’s persecution of Dafa practitioners. 20,967 people have signed this petition.

Swedish practitioners held a peaceful appeal in Stockholm to inform people about Jiang Zemin's attempts to export his persecution of innocent people to Hong Kong through the implementation of Article 23. Many Swedish people signed a petition against this violation of human rights.

The President of the Human Rights association criticised the Hong Kong government for its proposed "anti-subversion law" and elaborated on the legislation's harmful effects on Hong Kong's freedom and democracy.

This was a very successful event. Many people learnt the truth about the Jiang regime’s persecution and their hearts were touched when they found out that people are being tortured, raped and killed because they want to improve their health and moral standards by practising Falun Dafa.

The appealers wanted to tell people about the brutal persecution of Dafa practitioners in China and how over 70 million innocent people face torture, incarceration and even death because they want to live by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance.

When the head of the 610 office lead a delegation in Monaco, Dafa practitioners used this great opportunity to peacefully appeal to the people, officials and media of Monaco and tell them about the horrific persecution being carried out by the tyrant Jiang Zemin against innocent Dafa practitioners.

From October 20 to 28 during Jiang's visit to the US, practitioners from Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States did Fa Zheng Nian [Using powerful pure thoughts to purify the surrounding environment.] at each top of the hour.

From the 26th to the 28th, Falun Gong practitioners in Ireland went to the Chinese Embassy in Dublin to appeal against the persecution andto Fa Zheng Nian [rough translation - Send Righteous Thoughts. This can be understood as a type of meditation].

In order to support the recent truth clarification activities in the US, European practitioners promoted Dafa and clarified the truth in Brussels, Belgium.

As a reaction to the latest developments in Hong Kong, Frankfurt practitioners staged a sit-in protest last week in front of various offices representing Hong Kong interests, to point out the endangering passage of Article 23, an addition to Hong Kong’s Basic Law...[see main text]

During the past week, practitioners in the United Kingdom continued to send forth righteous thoughts (using the power of pure thoughts to purify the mind and harmonize the surrounding environment) outside the Chinese Embassy in London, and the consulates in Manchester and Edinburgh.

Many Swedish practitioners went to America to participate in the peaceful protests during the Chinese dictator’s visit. Starting on October 22 2002, the practitioners in Stockholm gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy to practise together, send forth righteous thoughts and hold candlelight vigils.

This is one of a series of activities this week and it is also part of the global campaign during Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin’s visit to America and Mexico.

Danish practitioners who did not go to the US or Brussels, have in this special period gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy for four days to peacefully appeal and do Fa Zheng Nian [rough translation - send forth righteous thoughts. This can be understood as a type of meditation.].

Every night from October 22 to 27, Austrian practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy in Vienna to peacefully appeal and to Fa Zheng Nian [rough translation - send forth righteous thoughts. This can be understood as a type of meditation.].

More and more kind-hearted Germans have realized the truth. They sincerely support us and hope that we will succeed. The practitioners also clarified the truth and handed out truth-clarifying materials to tourists from China at nearby scenic spots.

On the evening of October 22nd, people walked by our site one after another, and they all accepted the truth-clarifying materials that practitioners handed out. Many of them said, “You are doing a great job!” Some said, “Carry on with it,” and “I support you.”

In order for more people to learn about the persecution of Falun Gong and to help bring the persecution to a swift end, French practitioners peacefully appealed outside of the Chinese Embassy in France on the afternoon of October 23 2002.

Practitioners in Italy have often been to the front of the Chinese embassy in Milan to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to people. Many Chinese asked to read Dafa books when they learnt about the truth and used all kinds of ways to express their concern towards practitioners. During this period, TV stations interviewed practitioners and did a very positive and touching report on Falun Dafa.

On October 19th, the dark clouds densely covered the whole of Munich and the rain was cold. But when Dafa practitioners unfolded the Dafa banner reading, “Falun Dafa” in front of the consulate, the sky above the consulate began to clear up.

A group of practitioners from different countries introduced Falun Dafa to the public in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. They also peacefully appealed in front of the Chinese Embassy against Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin’s visit to the USA that begins on Tuesday 22nd October.

In a message to its members, Amnesty International mentioned the background of this activity, "Jiang and his regime's terrible record on human rights is highlighted. Besides persecuting Chinese people in large scale, they also utilize other countries' governments to persecute the freedom of Chinese people."

At the start of the vigil, the weather changed and became quite stormy. But despite this, practitioners remained resolute. It was this resilience and pure heart that touched the passers-by.

This meeting attracted the attention of a lot of news media. Dafa practitioners from the European countries made use of this valuable opportunity to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to the Chinese delegation, media and politicians from other countries.

Today is the final day of the 168-hour continuous peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese Embassy in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The presence at the Embassy and the great media coverage allowed more Polish people to learn about the beauty of Falun Dafa and the evil deeds of Jiang Zemin.

On The Netherlands "Anti-Violence Day" Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioners who had just concluded their peaceful appeals in Denmark went to The Hague to hold a peaceful sit-in appeal in front of the Premier's Office and Parliament Building. Several influential newspapers reported positively on the event.
