"I will beat you for the sake of Beijing people," one officer said. He beat me on the face using his hand and then using a police baton. Later I was detained in another cell. The criminals there brutally beat me. I shouted out "Falun Dafa is good." When the police heard this, they came over and beat me with an electrical baton.

I asked the head of my cell why she beat me for no reason. She replied, "The detention centre guards directed us to do it. Each Falun Gong practitioner was to be beaten upon arrival. You are no exception. Jiang gave the order from high above."to step on them. Practitioner Li Zhen's eyes turned black and the entire right side of the face turned dark purple as a result of the beatings.

Some of the practitioners are over eighty years old. In the middle of the night, the police officers on duty use electric batons to shock Falun Gong practitioners. They apply electric shocks to the face, the palms, the backs of the hands, and the bottom of the feet. One evil police captain would kneel on top of a Falun Gong practitioner, pull the practitioner's hair tight, and pry open the month for intubation. Screams filled the cold, dark, and frightening underground chamber every day.

Ms. Liu was deaf and limped in one leg. She also lost her eyesight in one eye and had trouble seeing out of the other. She could hardly walk because of severe rheumatism. She began practising Falun Gong in 1997. Within ten days or so, her illnesses were all gone and her body felt as though it was weightless. She told everyone she met: "Falun Gong is truly remarkable. It gave me a second life."

I was forced to stand still in the cell for over 20 consecutive days. Since I was not allowed to sleep, I felt so tired physically and mentally. My legs and feet were swollen and I was not able to put on my shoes or walk. The pain was like being cut by knives. During that period, the police also beat me with electric batons twice to try to force me to write those pledges to denounce Falun Gong. I refused and they just kept torturing me.

When she saw that I did not respond, she started to pinch and grab at my ears, eyes, nose and shoulders. The collaborators spat on my face and into my mouth. When I spat it out, five of them immediately spat on my face, head and mouth while yelling at me. They began hitting me, knocking me to the ground. Although I had collapsed, they picked me up again, just to beat me some more.

I am associate professor Li Li of the Institute of the State Procurators of the Supreme People's Procuratorate. Simply because I practice Falun Gong and strive to become a good person, the Jiang regime started to persecute me, taking actions against me at all levels of the Supreme Procuratorate

I was kidnapped by the Police on April 19, 2002. There, I was forced to sit on an iron chair for six days. In those six days, I was forbidden to sleep and had to wear handcuffs and shackles. Realizing that torture could not work on me, they sent me to a brainwashing centre...

At a certain point during this persecution, my mother was brought in to see me. My mother was so frightened to see the bloody scenes, including how they force-fed me with water that she was in shock. She finally fainted on seeing how badly my body was swollen as the torture had been escalated. I felt very sad and could not bear to let my mother have to stand this indirect torture.

The longest beating lasted almost an entire day. They cuffed one of her hands, and a cop got hold of the other end of the cuff and swung her around. The cuff bit into her wrist. The scars are still present today. The worst moment was when they pressed her down on an iron chair, and they had 8 people surrounding her and beat her at the same time as if they were trying to tear her body apart. Her body still hasn't recovered from the beatings.

Just because He Yuanchao believes in Falun Dafa, which is guided by the principle of "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance", he was thrown into the forced labour camp where his constitutional right to freedom of belief was violated. In addition, he sustained a bone injury and knew that he was likely to becme disabled.

The drug addicts said, "We will not be punished for beating you Falun Gong practitioners up." They also said that if they beat a drug addict the way they beat Falun Gong practitioners, they would have been at least sentenced.

The guard asked a practitioner to read the so-called camp "regulations." After he refused, the guard ordered five or six common criminals to beat him and then sent him to a small cell..An official publicly declared, "For you Falun Gong practitioners, beating is too generous! No one needs to take responsibility, even when someone beats you to death."

They ordered me to copy the "Letter Criticising Falun Gong" and I refused, so the guards ordered three inmates to rape me. Later, the warden called over an inmate and yelled at him because he did not beat me hard enough.

The police forced us to run carrying coal on our backs for more than 10 hours a day. Whenever we slowed down, they beat us with nightsticks or shocked us with electric batons. When the coal bags broke, police asked prisoners to beat us. As the prisoners beat us, they said, "The [Communist] Party asks bad guys like us to beat good people like you. This is the power given to us by Jiang [Zemin]. You have to obey!"

My daughter was an outstanding student. She was admitted to college in 2001 with an excellent score. However, because she firmly practised Falun Dafa, she was refused admission and deprived of continuing her education....The police hit and verbally abused me, and brutally force-fed me for the sole purpose of torturing me.

When we could go on no more, the police relentlessly beat us with belts and cursed us at the same time. When we collapsed, they pulled our heads back by the hair to make us start walking again. Many of us fainted from the torture.

Songtao had been tortured to death by a police officer on November 3, 2000 for not giving up his belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. And his wife, my sister, was "missing"...
