"Hello. My name is Emilie. I am almost twelve years old and will be in the sixth grade in fall. I practice Falun Gong. It is a cultivation method, not a religion. However, it is banned in China. How strange! Why? It was spread across the whole country due to its popularity. Jiang Zemin banned Falun Gong in 1999 because he was afraid because it was bigger than the Communist Party."

During the past eight years, international communities have seen Falun Gong practitioners’ unyielding diligence while facing the irrational and cruel persecution. At the same time, more and more people have identified with Falun Gong practitioners’ spirit in the process of their efforts against the persecution, and the universal values of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance” have been praised by the international community and the Chinese people.

More than 800 Falun Gong practitioners have been denied entry to Hong Kong in recent days, having traveled there for demonstrations over the ten-year anniversary of Hong Kong’s handover to China. Witnesses say police officers have disregarded standard deportation procedures and used excessive force, including forcefully wrapping detainees in tarps and physically carrying them onto airplanes departing Hong Kong. An email leaked by a Taiwanese travel agency details instructions from the Hong Kong Immigration Department to bar Falun Gong practitioners from boarding Hong Kong-bound planes in Taiwan.

" ... Some foreign observers guess “at least half of the officially acknowledged 250,000 detainees in labour camps are adherents of the Falun Gong movement. Although overseas Falun Gong sources put the numbers much higher.” ... In the April the 30th 2007 report, Amnesty International bemoans that the Chinese regime did not keep to the promises they made to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), as the human rights situation has worsened since the time they made their promise to the IOC."

It is near the time that the 2007 Europe-China human rights dialogue will be held on May 15th and 16th in Berlin. Foreign student Sunny wrote a letter to Finnish parliament members and human rights organisations to appeal to them help urge the CCP to release her stepfather who was imprisoned illegally and stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

"The publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party started the overwhelming tide of defections from the CCP. Over twenty one million Chinese people have defected from the CCP’s organisations. The final days of the CCP are being counted ... At such a critical moment in human history, of your counterparts, some chose a bright future for themselves. For instance, Chen Yonglin in Australia and Zhang Jiyan in Canada announced they would quit the CCP. Of your counterparts, some chose darkness, though. Pan Xinchun, the Deputy Consul General in Toronto, was convicted of libel for attacking a Canadian Falun Gong practitioner in a Canadian newspaper article".

My name is Xinxia Jiang. I have been practicing Falun Gong since 1994. On 21st of July 1999, I went to Beijing with some of my fellow practitioners to appeal to the central government to lift the ban on Falun Gong. Police arrested all of us. I was sent back to the school in Shanghai where I worked as a fine arts teacher. Once back, I was locked up in a small classroom and was not allowed to see anyone for over a month. During which time, five to six policemen took turns interrogating me everyday.

The statement here by UK Member of Parliament Mark Hunter was read at a press conference opposite the Chinese Embassy in London on Saturday April 28th, 2007. The press conference was the start of a day of activities to commemorate April 25th 1999 when Falun Gong practitioners in China appealed to the government to release fellow practitioners who were wrongfully imprisoned. This appeal was used by members of the Chinese Communist Party as an excuse to publicly launch the persecution against Falun Gong, which had previously been happening clandestinely.

On March 10th, when I again went to the Embassy for my passport, the reply was, “According to the related regulation, we can not extend your passport, because your actions have endangered the safety of China". “Is it because I practice Falun Gong?” I asked. “Yes, that is right", he answered. I thought, “How can a group of people who cultivate according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance threaten others and their own country?”

"Due to the international pressure, the CCP have hidden their methods of persecution. On the surface, you don’t have any physical injury, but the mental torture is far more severe than the physical torture. Physical injury can be cured by medicine, but the injury to your soul can never be cured... The most evil thing is they take organs from living Falun Gong practitioners."

"I read in the newspaper today that a trial was held on January 22nd, 2007, of six Falun Gong practitioners who distributed flyers about the persecution of Falun Gong two years ago ... Apparently no family members, media or supporters have been allowed to attend the trial ... I wonder if Singapore, like all other democratic countries in the world, should show her support and sympathy to these people who simply want to inform the public about a horrible on-going persecution in China. How could they have been so maltreated in Singapore?"

"When the day comes when Chinese people have abandoned the CCP and the truth has come out, will be able to face your families and your people? Yu Wenzhong, Falun Gong practitioner, said, 'As a person, one should have a conscience. The world is not an Eden for the evil to act violently. The evil will take its medicine and must also pay out for what it has done, this is justice. The Singapore government does not allow us to expose the truth about the persecution, but no matter how difficult it is, we will hold the line until the day when the persecution ends'."

"In early September, I received a flyer called “Falun Gong Blickpunkt” (“Falun Gong in Focus”) when walking on the street in the city of Biel. Never before did I read anything in the popular press about the persecution of this spiritual movement.After having read “Falun Gong Blickpunkt”, I am starting to really wonder why this is the case. I think I’ve been deprived of important information. The reports have been disturbing me for days because they were talking about some of the most terrible events imaginable: The horror of torture and secret death camps where organs are removed from people!"

"This cruel persecution is completely based on lies. In this persecution of innocent people, the lies have served as the worst, formless killer. The lies have incited this society's hatred and exclusion of the Falun Gong community. The lies have deceived the world's people into following the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. Therefore, it is distressing to see that you are spreading lies and hatred in Finland and poisoning the public. What you have done is already beyond the limit of your duties as consulates. You have acted as accomplices to the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong."

From 2000 to 2003, at least ten Falun Gong practitioners in China were dismissed by FAW-Volkswagen Co. Ltd for practicing Falun Gong. The headquarters of the company in Germany keeps silent about such wrongdoing. A former engineer in FAW-VW of Changchun wrote to the CEO Mr.Pischetsrieder. The following is a translation of the letter.

"While you are attending the Hamburg China-Europe Summit today, we, German Falun Gong practitioners, would like to particularly urge you to make a shrewd decision immediately on Falun Gong issues: Seriously penalise the prime culprits persecuting Falun Gong, so as to put an end to this evilest persecution in human history as soon as possible."

Before Wen Jiabao’s visit to Germany between September 13th and 15th, the Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group in Germany sent an open letter to the German Government, media and all its citizens, appealing to them to pay attention to China’s human rights abuses. In the letter, practitioners mentioned Gao Zhisheng, a prominent Chinese lawyer and active human rights activist, who has been illegally detained by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since August 15th 2006. In the letter, the practitioners also mentioned pilot and Falun Gong practitioner Yuan Sheng who was forced to make the difficult decision to seek asylum after arriving in the United States.

The Chinese Communist Regime has been persecuting Falun Gong for seven years. In these seven years, I was illegally sentenced to a three-year term in a labour-reform camp, then another two-year term in a labor-reeducation camp. During the five years I was imprisoned: I was mercilessly tortured by the evil communist party and suffered from a total loss of vision in my left eye, and upper and lower tooth migration and dislocation. Today, I will reveal to the international community how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) used the government to mercilessly torture and persecute me.

I am a Falun Gong practitioner in Ireland and would like to correct a word that was misused in this article,where Falun Gong was described as a 'sect'. This is a word that the Chinese Communist regime uses to defame Falun Gong and incite hatred among the Chinese people. Therefore, I would strongly ask you to correct this word and clarify to your readers as soon as possible. Although I was hurt by the use of the word 'sect', I still felt grateful to you for publishing information on organ harvesting of living Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Practitioners in Sweden are concerned about the future of their fellow countrymen in the Business Affairs Department at the Chinese Embassy. At 5:00 p.m. on the 19th of July, some twenty practitioners came to the Embassy to express their concern by handing in a letter of advice along with leaflets. They also did a group exercise demonstration.

"The actual outcome was exactly the opposite of what the defendants had expected. Many Chinese people didn't know about it in the first place, but after the publicising done by Europe Overseas Chinese News, many Chinese people learned about it and said to each other, "Falun Gong practitioners have brought them to court. If Falun Gong practitioners were wrong, they wouldn't have the guts to file a lawsuit." So, many Chinese people started thinking about it and started to doubt the CCP propaganda. During the past few years, many Chinese people asked us, "How is the lawsuit coming along?"

"Falun Gong practitioners have been persisting in opposing the persecution for so many years. In fact their strategy of being against the persecution is so simple that they just clarify the truth. That is to say, since you persecute me, I will then disclose all your means of the persecution and rumours you have made. Although the action of clarifying the truth seems very peaceful without knives and guns, as a matter of fact, it is a way the CCP has never expected before. It had thought that the opposite side would fight against it with knives and guns."

From the 1st to the 4th of April 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from over thirty European nations and Taiwan gathered in Geneva to attend the 2006 European Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference and its related events. In this article, some of the practitioners reveal why they feel it is important to use their own time and money to go to Geneva and take part in these events.

"There are more than a billion people in China who have not been granted the most fundamental human rights. Since the CCP’s founding, about fifty seven years ago, it is responsible for the death of more than 80 million people. The bloody clampdown of the June 4th 1989 student movement, as well as the six-year old unabated persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has shocked the citizens of the world deeply ... Because of economic interests, the Western countries can influence China. Therefore, they should take advantage of the opportunity and condemn the inhuman human rights violations."

"To date, there have been some eight million people, mostly Chinese people in China, declaring their withdrawal from the CCP on an overseas Chinese website since the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the CCP ... Renowned Chinese attorney Gao Zhisheng sent three open letters to Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao, urging them to put an end to the persecution against those who believe in freedom and improve the relations between the Chinese people and the Communist regime, as well as upholding justice for Falun Gong."

“In 2002 when I read the book Zhuan Falun, I felt that the principle of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” on which Falun Gong is based are very good. I hoped that I could be a person who lives my life by those principles. After practising Falun Gong exercises, my back pain was miraculously healed."
