Recently, Ukraine’s national TV Station broadcast films two days in a row, which reported positively on Falun Gong. On the morning of the 26th of November 2003, the film “Cuiying Zhang – Traditional Chinese Artist” was shown. The film exposed the persecution, and also introduced Falun Gong to audience. These films were broadcast throughout Ukraine.

'On November the 24th, German Falun Gong practitioners filed an official lawsuit in the Supreme Court of the German Federal Government against Jiang Zemin, who is the former Chinese President, Li Lanqing and Luo Gan. The defendants are being sued for committing crimes of torture and genocide against Falun Gong practitioners.'

When talking about the reason for the persecution against Falun Gong, he told the audience that China’s former leader, Jiang Zemin, out of his personal interest and jealousy, abused his power to launch a persecution against good people who practise “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” He listed a large number of the persecuted cases. Finally, the host invited the audience to take note of the persecution and help to put an end to it.

“The plaintiffs are 44 victims, including more than 10 Germans. The 90-page submission outlined the personal experiences of 15 victims who currently live outside the Chinese mainland and 800 plus torture cases that have resulted in death. Mr. Kaleck thinks the importance of this case is similar to that of the lawsuit against Augusto Pinochet and the on-going case against former Yugoslavian president Slobodan Milosevic.”

Preparations for the annual European Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference have been arranged and practitioners are now awaiting the start of the conference. According to prediction, there should be hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners attending the conference, which is being held in Berlin, from 20 countries throughout Europe. The following is a report from Radio Free Asia regarding the conference.

"According to a report from the Central News Agency in Taiwan, the Taiwanese Falun Dafa Association launched an assembly to support suing the Jiang regime for persecuting seven Taiwan Falun Gong practitioners. They will file a lawsuit charging the former Chinese president, Jiang Zemin, the former vice-Premier Li Lanqing and a member of the Politburo Standing Committee, Luo Gan, with the crime of genocide at the Taiwan High Court on the 17th of November."

Last year I went to attend the UN human rights meeting. At the meeting, I called out to every mother worldwide to help stop this persecution. From Geneva I began to travel around the world. France is my 35th country. In every country I visit, I tell their Foreign Ministry, the media and kind-hearted people what is really happening in China. I hope that compassionate people can help us to stop this cruel persecution.

Finnish TV's “Yokotai” invited Falun Gong practitioners onto a live chat show to discuss Falun Gong and the situation in China. During the show, four practitioners demonstrated the exercises to beautiful Dafa music while another practitioner was being interviewed. Channel 1 has shown the programme throughout the whole country.

'Tens of millions of Falun Gong practitioners have suffered from various forms of persecution including murder, torture - both mental and physical - unreasonably long detention and forced brainwashing. Even their families and friends have endured pressure in their lives, schools, and work. Hundreds of millions of people have been affected. That is to say that crimes of genocide, torture, and crimes against humanity do exist and the scope is pretty large.'

'On Thursday morning some Falun Gong practitioners, who have personally experienced persecution or whose relatives have been persecuted, submitted a lawsuit against Luo Gan to the Finnish court. Furthermore, the Finnish Falun Dafa Association has already submitted a criminal lawsuit against Luo Gan to the prosecutors...The Finnish public took a strong dislike toward this criminal.'

At the state attorney’s office, Ragnar put forward a lawsuit against Lou Gan. This is an unprecedented move, to do this to a high ranking foreign official whilst he visits Iceland. In the lawsuit, it says that Luo Gan is one of three officials in charge of the “610 Office”, an organisation that is responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, by murder, torture, sexual abuse and other cruel methods. In that respect, Lou Gan has broken international agreements that the Icelandic people abide to.

'According to news from the Falun Dafa Information Centre, practitioners around the world have filed a lawsuit against Luo Gan, a member of the Chinese government’s politburo standing committee, via Ragnar Adalsteinsson who is an internationally renowned human rights lawyer, and have charged him with crimes of torture, genocide and crimes against humanity, upon his arrival to Iceland.'

'At the time when Jiang Zemin wanted to start the persecution, not everyone in the Politburo agreed with it. But Jiang Zemin pushed his wishes out of jealousy or a desire for power. He has tried to create a kind of internal enemy of Falun Gong and in that way forced everyone within the Communist party to choose sides, for or against him, and tried to increase his power in this way.'

"Six Falun Gong practitioners, a spiritual meditation movement from China, have filed a lawsuit against the former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin in our country. This is the first criminal lawsuit for genocide that has been filed under the New Belgian Law, which had been amended before the Parliament broke up. The plaintiffs claim that the Chinese government, under orders from Jiang Zemin, has systematically persecuted Falun Gong since 1999."

“This lawsuit is unprecedented. Trials in the past, such as the Nuremburg trial, took place after the persecution failed and ended. This lawsuit is taking place at a time when the persecution is still under way. Therefore, this kind of lawsuit not only exposes the perpetrator’s crimes whilst they are happening and alarms those still engaged in the persecution, but also exposes the perpetrators’ lies and wakes up all good people to help stop the persecution.”

“We hope that an in-depth investigation can take place and that, through this, it will become clear how Jiang Zemin is responsible for the deaths of thousands of people and that he will be sentenced. Not only in Belgium, but also by the international community.”

"The first complaint of the new genocide law that has only just been enacted has been filed this morning in Brussels by 6 practitioners of Falun Gong. Meanwhile, others have been demonstrating how they meditate in Falun Gong in front of the court building. The Chinese government have been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners systematically, torturing them and even killing them since 1999 under the order of the then leader, Jiang Zemin.”

'It is said that the Chinese government systematically persecutes, tortures and even kills Falun Gong practitioners. All of this since 1999 on the order of the then leader Jiang Zemin. It is against him and two other leaders that the complaint is submitted on the basis of the new stricter law on genocide.'

Radio France Internationale broadcast a programme in Cantonese to Cambodia and the Cantonese-speaking area of Paris outlining the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin on charges of genocide, crimes against humanity and cruel torture, which was filed by several Falun Gong practitioners in Belgium. The programme also introduced details of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

'Six Falun Gong practitioners submitted a lawsuit to the Belgian federal prosecutors against Jiang Zemin, China’s former leader and Chair of the Central Military Committee of the People’s Republic of China, for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners and for committing torture, crimes against humanity, and genocide.'

'Six Falun Gong practitioners sued Jiang Zemin, the former leader of China and the dictator of the regime. Falun Gong is banned in China. This cultivation practice originated in China and has now spread to sixty countries world-wide. The plaintiffs are suing Jiang for genocide, crimes against humanity and crimes of torture under a new Belgian law.'

A complaint for genocide against Jiang Zemin was filed in the U.S. That complaint was declared valid. Also, in France a complaint has been filed against Li Lanqing, who was visiting the country at the time. Li Lanqing is the second Vice-Prime Minister of China. He got an order from Jiang Zemin to establish a special office that operates above all levels of the government to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

'Today, some overseas Chinese media reported that the Falun Gong material contained details of Falun Gong lawsuits and the indictment against Jiang Zemin. They listed Jiang Zemin’s ten crimes next to pictures of people practising Falun Gong, as well as reporting news about Jiang Zemin being prosecuted in overseas countries.'

A representative from the World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong 'said that up to this point, the number of Falun Gong practitioners beaten to death in China has been known to be about 800 and countless thousands have been cruelly tortured, beaten, and spiritually abused. Two female Falun Gong practitioners spoke at the conference about their painful experiences in suffering from various forms of torture and abuse.'

Reid mentioned in his letter that Wang Chengyuan has been detained since his arrest on the 17th January this year. The authorities have not given any explanation [for his detention]. Congressman Reid wrote that he strongly requests the release of this innocent person and that such illegal detention is unacceptable.

'In his speech, the President [of the International Huamn Rights Association] once again strongly asked China to stop this barbarian and inhumane persecution and to release all the detained Falun Gong practitioners...As for the overseas persecution, the president said the International Human Rights Association will help the Falun Gong practitioners to take any effective legal action.'

Similarly the murder case allegedly committed by Chen Fu Chao should be investigated in a scientific way. No judgement should be inferred from his unreasonable confession and behaviour. Moreover, his crazy confession should not be used to slander Falun Dafa. If Mr. Chen really killed people and went out of his mind, a psychiatrist should be consulted to examine his mental condition and we should leave his wrongdoing to the justice of law.

The spokesman for the Chinese Democratic Party in France, Wu Jiang, told the reporters that the Chinese government is trying to bring dictatorship and autocracy to Hong Kong by the enactment of Article 23. The spokesman for French Falun Dafa Association, Zhang Jian-Ping indicated that the enactment of Article 23 was, to a great extent, targeting Falun Gong. Both of them said they request that the legislation of Article 23 is completely abandoned, not just postponed.

Employing comments from Members of the European Parliament, Professors, VIPs, representatives of human rights organisations, and social groups, the 25-minute film reported on the danger of the proposed subversion law, the Hong Kong people’s opposition to it along with their desire to preserve freedom and human rights, and the evil nature of the persecution of peaceful Falun Gong practitioners in China.

'This demonstration is to protest against the Article 23 legislation and the pressure from the Chinese government on their Hong Kong counterparts to enact this legislation quickly.'

The practitioners introduced the reasons behind this illegal persecution, the current situation in China, and the condemnation of Jaing’s crimes from the international community. They also told the audience that Jiang Zemin, who is directly responsible for the cruel persecution, is the subject of a lawsuit in North America and Europe for his genocide. The trial that is awaiting him will expose his crimes against humanity and allow justice to be done.

According to news from the Central News Agency, 38 members of the US Congress signed a brief, submitted to courts in Illinois, requesting them to continue with the lawsuit by Falun Gong practitioners against Jiang Zemin and the “610 office”, which was set up solely for the persecution of Falun Gong.

'On the phone, Charles Li said that he had been ill-treated and force-fed. According to the UN human rights annual report, force feeding is often used as a torture technique on detainees who are on hunger strike. The hunger striker severely suffers during the force-feeding procedure or even chokes to death.'

The following news was broadcast in Mandarin by RFI’s news program on the 2nd of June to Mainland China and the Chinese region of Paris.

'Tens of thousands of people in China continue to be arbitrarily detained or imprisoned for peacefully exercising their rights to freedom of expression, association or belief. Based on the Amnesty International Report, torture and ill-treatment remained widespread and appear to have increased as a result of the “strike-hard” campaign.'

"When Jiang visited the US, Falun Gong practitioners filed a lawsuit in the US District Court of the Northern District of Illinois. Jiang was charged with committing three crimes. The first one was crimes against humanity by brutally persecuting Falun Gong. The other two are torture and genocide. We practitioners sued Jiang because he intends to eradicate millions of Falun Gong practitioners by any possible means, including lies and violence."

What are the purposes of holding these activities? One is that we can tell everyone about the goodness and the beauty of Falun Gong. Another is that we all know that the Jiang Zemin regime’s persecution of Falun Gong is completely based on lies. One important way to stop this persecution is to tell people, in a peaceful way, what Falun Gong really is and about the lies that the Jiang regime have been using, so that all the Chinese people and western people can understand what is actually happening.”

'According to the Falun Dafa Information Centre, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong founded a branch in Hong Kong on the 16th of May. Today, Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference in front of a Chinese Embassy in the United States to protest about the unreasonable detention of Falun Gong practitioner Charles Li, a US citizen who has been arrested in China. They also appealed for his rescue.'

On the morning of the May 15 2003, RFI broadcast the following report about the staged self-immolation incident on Tiananmen Square in 2001. The report outlines the irrefutable evidence that this event was actually planned by members of the Jiang regime in order to turn Chinese people against Falun Gong. This has already been veriied by the United Nations.

'Jiang Zemin and his group have directed this persecution and one of its most important aspects is telling lies. This can be clearly illustrated by the recent evolution of SARS in China. In the past, people may have argued that what Jiang’s group did was to maintain social stability and the image of the nation. However, the issue of SARS makes it undoubtedly clear to us that if they really cared about public interest and social stability, they would have taken proper measures at an early stage. In fact, they do not really care about social stability or public interest; all that they care for is preserving their vested interests, and maintaining their power and influence.'

In the past few years, Jiang Zemin, the ex-President of China, and several senior Chinese officials have become the subject of a large number of direct and indirect international lawsuits. On April 14 2003, the US District Court of Illinois began the legal procedures for a genocide lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. This lawsuit was filed by Falun Gong practitioners.

Radio Free Asia broadcast a report about Falun Gong practitioners in Germany and Europe holding peaceful appeals in front of the Chinese embassies to support the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. Practitioners are successively filing lawsuits in the courts of European countries, charging Jiang with genocide and anti-humanitarian acts through his persecution of Falun Gong.

The listeners heard that this is not only a persecution of Falun Dafa and the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, but also a persecution of those who try to be good people. That’s why all good people around the world should stand up and try to end the human rights violations in China as soon as possible.

German Falun Gong practitioners have filed lawsuits against the German Federal government for infringing upon Falun Gong practitioners’ basic right to peacefully hold demonstrations and appeals during Jiang Zemin’s visit to Germany last April. Here is a transcript of a report about this from Radio Free Asia.

Representatives of the European Union have expressed their concern for the broad violations of human rights occurring in China. The Greek Ambassador stated that the death penalty, brutal corporal punishment and cruel torture are still being used by the Chinese authorities to repress people.

"A habit of depending on the government’s expansionary economic policy has formed and this certainly is not a good sign. One more point is that banks in China have seriously bad debt problems, and they are still providing high-risk loans to state-owned enterprises without these debts being written off. That could initiate a financial crisis and will thus threaten the economy in the future."

Falun Dafa practitioners run a weekly radio show in a UK university. The show allows many students and other people in the surrounding area to learn more about Falun Dafa and the truth about the persecution happening in China today. Here is a brief report on the contents of this week's show.

The reporter saw that many German citizens signed the petition immediately after they learned the facts about the treatment of Lin Wenrong. They also expressed their support for this activity...the activities to rescue Lin Wenrong will last from on 3 to 6 March, and will then move to the front of the Chinese Embassy in the German capital, Berlin.

Wartburg City’s Cultural Bureau and the School of Further Education for Adults held the “Way to Peace-- Falun Gong Photo Exhibition”. The objective of this event was to introduce the worldwide popularity of Falun Gong, and tell the people of Wartburg about the persecution in China. The following is an English translation of the report on this event.

'On Thursday, an RFA correspondent interviewed Ms. Zheng Zhihong, who rushed to Geneva from Germany simply because of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Zheng Zhihong graduated from Zhejiang University in China, and is now one of the leading figures of a German task force dedicated to the rescue of Falun Gong practitioners and their families. She outlined the situation inside and outside the U.N. building during the last two days...'
