Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Long Lihong was hoodwinked by the Lanshan police in 2008 and incarcerated at the Baimalong Forced Labour Camp in Zhuzhou City because she practises Falun Gong. She was subjected to one year of forced labour. During the first three months at the forced labour camp, those in charge used every imaginable means in an attempt to "transform" her, simply for the sake of monetary gains and promotions. They promised two drug addict inmates that their terms would be shortened if they monitored Ms. Long around the clock. One inmate forced her to watch videos that slandered and defamed Falun Gong. At night, they deprived her of sleep and tried to brainwash her to give up Falun Gong.

On May 22nd, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Min was arrested by police and her home ransacked. Ms. Zhang was taken to the Huaihua Brainwashing Centre. In the brainwashing centre, she was forced to write the three statements to give up Falun Gong. After being detained for a month, the 610 Office staff extorted 15,000 Yuan from Zhang's husband as a "guarantee deposit" and demanded that he sign a guarantee statement before he could take his wife back home. After Zhang was released, she was still closely monitored and harassed by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members at her work place.

On April 25th, 2009, several police broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qian Yuhua's home, held her to the ground and handcuffed her. Her daughter-in-law held on to her mother-in-law to prevent her from being taken away. The police grabbed her barbarically, then handcuffed and arrested her daughter-in-law. The police were afraid that the neighbours might be alarmed if the two women protested the arrest loudly, so they covered their mouths with plastic bags, making it difficult for them to breathe. Ms. Qian Yuhua was taken to the Baoshan District Detention Centre.

On January 2nd, 2009, Ms. Jiang Xiumei and Ms. Cui Xiuhua, two farmers from Laixi City, Shandong Province, were arrested and sentenced to a forced labour camp for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong. Because Jiang Xiumei is nearly seventy, the labour camp refused to take her. Cui Xiuhua however, is being tortured in the labour camp. After Ms. Cui Xiuhua was arrested, the police would not allow her family to visit, nor did they tell them her whereabouts. They even extorted over two hundred yuan from her family.

On April 10th, 2008, officers from the Qianjin Police Station in Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province broke into 48-year-old Mr. Shi Xiaochun's home. They ransacked his home and arrested him. On May 21st, 2008, his family received notice of his sentence of forced labour. He was sent to the Suihua Forced Labour Camp on the same day. Mr. Shi has suffered through many periods of detention and various torture methods since the persecution of Falun Gong began. This has left his family in turmoil as well.

While distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong, Mr. Chen Changyuan was seized by police in July 2008. On April 29th 2009, Mr. Chen was sentenced to three years in prison by the Chengdu Gaoxin District Court in Sichuan Province. Only three family members were allowed in the courtroom. During the trial, the judge frequently interrupted the defence lawyer and his client's statements. Furthermore, Mr. Chen's wife was not allowed to speak. The situation was so unjust that she decided to leave the courtroom. After Mr. Chen was sentenced to three years of imprisonment, he indicated that he would appeal the ruling.

Haihui, a 9-year-old girl, used to have a happy family, but this family has been torn apart as a result of the persecution of Falun Gong. Both of Haihui's parents practise Falun Gong. On August 16th, 2008, five policemen took away her father Guo Jian. In September, police came again and took away her mother. As a result, Haihui has to stay with her elderly grandma, and they are both barely getting by with great difficulty.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wei Lianhua was arrested by the police in 2008 while she was making leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong in Baodi District. She is currently being detained in the Tianjin Women Prison. Wei Lianhua's husband has met with great difficulties since his wife suffered this persecution. Due to the pressure of making a living for himself and his three children, he had to ask the local Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials to return the 8,000 yuan they had borrowed from him and had not repaid for several years. However, the local officials refused, claiming they did not have the funds. suffering a nervous breakdown, with his wife in jail and unable to support his family. The three children have to now fend for themselves.

On December 1st, 2008, three practitioners were arrested by police for possessing materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. Police also ransacked their homes and interrogated them, attempting to extort confessions. During the interrogation, Mr. Zhang Peixun lost consciousness twice due to brutal beatings. Their families hired six lawyers to defend these innocent practitioners. After six months of detention, the three practitioners were brought to trial at Jinshantun Court. Bystanders outside the court remarked, "Even a murder trial is not as heavily guarded as this!" The dossier presented by the prosecution was unknown to the defence lawyers, who protested, "This is against the law."

Ms. Lei Xinlian, 58, went to Beijing to appeal to the government for the right to practise Falun Gong in 2000. Since she has suffered repeated persecution by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents. In July 2001, Ms. Lei was taken by police officers to the Zizhong Nanmusi Women's Prison in Sichuan for a two-year prison term. There, she was forced to kneel down for a long time, deprived of sleep, had her face slapped and was beaten. Since July 20th, 1999 and up to now, Ms. Lei's home has been ransacked frequently for two years and she was detained for a total of five years. She was homeless for about four and a half years. Her husband was detained for two months, and was homeless for nine years.

59-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Hongrong was sentenced to jail for eight years in 2005 by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was tortured by prison guards in Suzhou Prison and became paralysed. The police released him when he was in critical condition and the hospital diagnosed him with bone cancer. Two months later, on June 22nd, 2007, he passed away at home.

On May 20th, 2009, six practitioners, including Mr. Pan Yujun were sentenced and sent to Jinan Prison. Since Mr. Pan Yujun was arrested again, he has been cruelly tortured. He weighs barely over 100 pounds, is extremely weak and unable to stand up, is incontinent, has no energy to talk aloud, and lives every day in a great amount of pain. He has been on a hunger strike for more than seven months. The guards conduct force-feeding on him once a week which causes him to almost pass out each time. The detention centre and the court are withholding information about his condition from his family

Mr. Luo Chungui, a 55-year-old practitioner, shouted, "Falun Gong is good" while he was being tortured in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. The guards used electric batons on his mouth. Within half an hour his mouth was swollen and all his teeth were loosened. That was not enough. The guards continued to shock his face and neck for over two hours. Mr. Luo still refused to be "reformed." The guards then forced him to stand with both hands handcuffed to the metal headboard of an upper bunk bed for three days. He could only rely on infusion because he could not eat anything. Three days later he could barely manage to consume porridge. His mouth was swollen for a month. Even now the colour of his face, mouth and neck is still black.

Ms. Guo Juxiang was reported for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong and police arrested her in September 2001. Zhang Shaobo and some other policemen kicked her in the lower back to the point where she could no longer stand up. A team leader at the detention centre shocked her with four or five electric batons until she lost consciousness. She was arrested again in 2001 and taken to Wangcun Forced Labour Camp. Three months later, the forced labour camp instructed her family to pay a fee and take her back home. Ms. Guo could no longer take care of herself because of the ordeals that she'd gone through. Ms. Guo passed away on January 26th, 2009.

After the persecution started in 1999, 70-year-old Huang Huaxian told people about the beauty of Falun Gong and about the lies and propaganda spread by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to justify the persecution. The CCP never stopped harassing him. They ransacked his home many times, extorted money from him, threatened him, arrested him and sent him to a brainwashing centre and to a detention house on two occasions. On June 22nd, 2008, police deceitfully got Mr. Huang to go to a CCP village meeting to "Expose and Criticize Huang Huaxian". At the meeting, Mr. Huang was publicly criticized, humiliated and verbally attacked. He felt severe anguish, and his blood pressure sky rocketed. Three days later Mr. Huang passed away.

On May 23rd, 2009, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Ming died at Daqing Prison. Mr. Li's father-in-law is Du Yude. Du Yude's other son-in-law, Mr. Yu Huaicai died from persecution at Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp in 2007. Mr. Du's daughter Du Xiuzhi, Li Ming's wife, is currently incarcerated at Harbin Women's Prison. Mr. Yu Huaicai went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution in Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. As a result, he was brutally force-fed by the guards. He had been a healthy man, 1.91 metres tall and weighed over 261 lbs. At the time of his death, he only weighted about 100 lbs.

From November 2nd, 2006 to May 2009, Ms. Lu Tao, Ms. Zhang Hongying and her sister, Ms. Zhang Jiashuang, have been detained for 2 years and 7 months, including 10 months in the Miyi County Detention Centre for practising Falun Gong. At present, they are detained in the Chengdu City Women's Prison. When they were arrested in 2006 the three practitioners were tied up together and hung up from the window bars with their feet in the air for three days. During that time, the police pulled their hair and slammed their heads against the wall. They contnued to suffer brutal torture in detention.

In March 2000, Mr. Dai Kewu was detained and sentenced to one year of forced labour; and again sentenced to two years of forced labour in 2002. He suffered from torture by police officers and prisoners at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp. His whole body was swollen; he lost the capability of taking care of himself, and became critically ill. The police of the labour camp told his family to take him home, due to fear of having to take responsibility for his death. After Mr. Dai's return home, the police continued to harass him many times. His health continued to get worse, and Mr. Dai died on December 31st, 2006.

The most widely implemented mistreatments against Falun Gong practitioners in Liaoning Prison are sleep deprivation for a long period and starvation. The practitioners are provided with only one spoon of boiled rice every day, and they are not allowed to drink water. In winter they are forced to go barefoot with only a shirt on them. They are constantly shocked with electric batons and their arms are bound behind their back. Prison guards torture them with pricking finger nails with toothpicks, stepping on the feet and palms forcefully, punching the chest and ribs, dragging them by the hair and hitting their heads against the wall, not allowing them to go to the toilet (which led to intestinal diseases), hanging and suspending them in the air, and deep squatting with the head in the lap.

Ms. Chen Shufen, 47, and her husband were arrested and brutally tortured during an interrogation by police because they interrupted TV programming to broadcast Falun Gong information on the persecution on August, 2002. During interrogation Ms. Chen they beaten with wooden sticks to the point of deep bruising from hips to thighs. Ms. Chen was sentenced to nine years in prison. Ms. Chen is currently being detained in the Second Women's Prison in Luquan City, Hebei Province and is denied family visitation.

In the 10 years of the persecution, Mr. Wang Xueshi has been imprisoned for nine years - two years in a forced labour camp and seven years in a prison. In Jixi Forced Labour Camp a guard hit Mr. Wang's right eye with an electric baton. He lost his vision in the right eye. Later, his wife couldn't bear the pressure and pain from the persecution, and divorced him. In 2002 police again detained Mr. Wang. They tied him to a chair and repeatedly hit his head with water bottles until he was bleeding; used twisted electric wires to whip the top of his feet until the flesh was torn; tightly sealed his mouth with tape; and put mustard oil into his nose and then covered his mouth and nose with a hand towel to suffocate him.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhu Yan was persecuted repeatedly because of her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and was put in a forced labour camp twice. She has been jailed in Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City for a year now. Her son, Cao Yang, has a mental disorder, and has not been able to take care of himself in the past year. After his mother was arrested he went into the street and yelled every day for the past year, "I don't have a home any more." He is emotionally disturbed, and has been taken to the Sixth People's Hospital in Changchun City.

Ms. Liu Junling, 60, was arrested in 2005 and sentenced to Wangcun Forced Labour Camp for a year. Policemen forced Liu Junling to undergo brainwashing, forcing her to watch videos and read materials that defamed Falun Gong, and forcing her to write or sign statements denouncing Falun Gong. Liu Junling was also forced to do slave labour until 10 p.m. every day. Both her body and mind suffered tremendous stress, and she could not sleep at night. On April 27th, 2006, she was released from the camp. Her health deteriorated continuously, and she was diagnosed with lung cancer and rectum cancer. She passed away on July 20th, 2007.

On March 10th, 2009, the Suibin County court sentenced practitioner Ms. Fei Jinrong to four years for distributing materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. While she was in the Suibin County Detention Centre, Ms. Dai was beaten until she vomited blood. Only when she was in critical condition was her family allowed to take her home. Due to unknown reasons, police suddenly transferred Ms. Fei to a detention centre. According to reports, Ms. Fei was forced to sit on a steel chair for many days without sleep at the No. 2 Detention Centre. She was verbally abused and beaten by the criminals in the same cell. It is not known what type of torture she was subjected to. In only a few months time, she suffered a mental collapse.

There is a family in Zhongchang Village, Dalian City, of which the eldest son, Pan Mingzhi and his wife Yuan Yuchun, both love and respect their parents. Yet why were they absent at Mr. Pan Hongju's funeral while all his other sons and daughters were there paying their final tributes to him when he passed away? It turned out that the daughter-in-law, Ms. Yuan, has been arrested many times for telling people the facts about Falun Gong since the government began its persecution in 1999. Worse yet, when she was released from jail, the local police still kept harassing her and her family. Ms. Yuan and her immediate family were forced to stay away from their home, and not contact any of her other family members or relatives.

On May 19th, 2009, the Hejiang County Court in Luzhou City held a public trial of six Falun Gong practitioners. The court set up two obstacles denying the lawyers access to the trial. The lawyers demanded an investigation into the illegal abandonment of responsibilities by Chief Justice Wang Hong, Vice-Chief Yuan Hailiang, Executive Judge Tang Xianrong, and Presiding Judge Zhang Ke; and a confirmation that the May 19th, 2009 trial was illegal and invalid.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Huang Min, former deputy director of the Small Business Bureau of Chengdu City, was found tortured to death on August 15th, 2007 while in custody. When the family saw her body, she only weighed about 55 pounds. Her facial expression showed a lot of pain, with her eyes barely opened, her head leaning to the right, her mouth wide open, and her upper teeth exposed. One of her bottom teeth was missing. An unknown pungent yellow coloured drug was found in her mouth, with some covering her teeth and some on her face. Her fingers were clenched tightly as if she was trying to grab something. Her arms had black and blue finger-tip-size marks. The police forced the family to cremate her body that same day.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhou Xiangyang has been on a hunger strike for over 300 days, since June 2008, to resist the persecution. Mr. Zhou was previously a strong and positive man, but due to being persecuted he is emaciated and his life is in danger. In February 2009, a guard disclosed that Mr. Zhou was force-fed five times per day and that he could die at any moment. Gangbei Prison claims that to be released on bail for medical treatment, he must sign papers renouncing his practice of Falun Gong.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Liyun was tortured to death at the Liaoning Women's Prison on July 23rd, 2002. When viewing the body, one could see that the head was swollen. The prison officials deceived her father into signing the death certificate and cremation authorization. They would not let her father see more than her head in a darkened room to conceal the torture. Before her death, some sources acknowledged that the police had locked Mrs. Liu Liyun into a solitary cell and ordered eight inmates to take turns torturing her. The prisoners took Ms. Liu to a corner of the cell, pushed her to the concrete floor, stretched her hands out horizontally, and pulled her legs apart. When she closed her eyes or lowered her head, she was brutally beaten.

The "stretching torture" or the "stretching bed" was implemented by placing a Falun Gong practitioner in the middle of two beds with the arms and legs handcuffed to the four outer corners of the beds. After a period of time, the two beds are forced apart and bricks are squeezed into the space between the beds. Every time a brick is squeezed in, extreme harm to the body results.

On May 11th, 2009, police arrested 60-year-old practitioner Ms. Zhen Zhixian. In late 2008, the police had arrested Ms. Zhen. At the brainwashing centre, policeman Ha Fulong slapped Ms. Zhen on the face and tortured her in many other ways. The brutal treatment caused Ms. Zhen's health to deteriorate. Seven days later, Ms. Zhen appeared to be paralysed. The police feared being held responsible for their actions, and so told Ms. Zhen's family to hand over 10,000 yuan and pick her up. When the family came, they found Ms. Zhen paralysed. When she was arrested again this year, her health had not fully recovered.

Since April 17th of this year, more than a dozen practitioners in Fushun City, Liaoning Province have been arrested. It is believed that they are being held at the Fushun City Detention Centre. Many of them have gone on a hunger strike to counter the persecution. Further details are unknown at this time as police have not allowed any information about them to be released and have denied family visits. Police officers covered the practitioners' entire heads with black cloth bags when they arrested them.

Mr. Huang Weizhong is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. On February 12th, 2009, several police arrested him from his home and brutally beat him after the arrest. His eyes were covered with bruises. He almost lost eyesight in one of his eyes. He suffered injury to his internal organs, and he has been in pain since he has been detained in the Jiamusi Detention Centre. His family members have not been allowed to visit him. They recently learned that Huang Weizhong has been on a hunger strike since April 23rd, 2009, and he has been suffering brutal forced-feedings four times a day.

On April 14th, 2008, Dr. Ma Qingchun was arrested and sentenced to forced labour in June 2008. At the brainwashing centre, Dr. Ma was brutally tortured. On the day of his arrest, Yu Yuejin grabbed his hair and punched him in the face, head and chest. At night, he was handcuffed to a table and was not allowed to sit but had to squat. He was not allowed to sleep. When he was caught falling asleep, he was beaten. The next day, Dr. Ma was still not allowed to sleep. After 24 hours of detention, he requested to be released, but in return, one official punched him and kneed him really hard repeatedly in his lower abdomen. After the torture, Dr. Ma suffered extreme pain and had difficulty turning over on the bed.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Hui, 30, died as a result of brutal torture he suffered at Gongzhuling Prison in Jilin Province. When the doctor tried to perform surgery on Zhang Hui in April 2009, he saw that Zhang Hui's stomach was black, which did not allow for surgery. Zhang Hui later passed away in the hospital. The prison spared no effort in covering up information related to Zhang Hui's death. Zhang Hui was savagely abused for a long time at the prison and his organs sustained serious injuries. The officials denied his request for medical parole and only notified his aunt to come to the prison for a visit when it was already too late for medical treatment.

After Mr. Qian Shiguang was arrested and taken to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Centre in May 2005, he was sentenced to forced labour. Guards often hung him up by his arms and beat him. This caused severe injuries, including damage to his back and spine, to the point where he walked bent over at a 90-degree angle all the time. By the end of August 2008, Mr. Qian's condition had worsened significantly under the long-term mistreatment. His personal "watcher" Jia Honglin reported that he had not eaten anything in ten days, but the guards ignored it. Mr. Qian was very pale and thin as a skeleton, and he was clearly dying. He died on September 9th, 2008.

On March 28th, 2003, police stormed into Ms. Xu Deqin's home to arrest her in Weifang City, Shandong Province. They ransacked the place and took many valuable items. Ms. Xu's husband was extremely stressed by such a violent incident, causing him to suffer heart failure. The police released Ms. Xu after extorting 5,000 yuan from her family. Unfortunately, her husband never recovered, and died on May 11th, 2003.

On May 13th, 2009, the Hantai District Court sentenced four Falun Gong practitioners to prison without informing their lawyers or families. Yang Hua was sentenced to nine years in prison. Wu Yali and Ye Hao were each sentenced to five years in prison, and Li Qingmeng was sentenced to four years in prison. The practitioners wished to appeal, but presiding judge Yan Xu made the verdict confidential. He said, "If you want to look at the verdict, ask the guards at Hantai Detention Centre. I cannot give the verdict to you." Mr. Lian, vice president of the court, also said, "You are Falun Gong practitioners. We were informed by our supervisions that we cannot give the verdict to you directly."

Mr. Lu Yuping, 50, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Daxinganling, Heilongjiang Province. Because of his belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison in 2002. In March 2005, a few inmates, instigated by the guards, brutally tortured him in order to force him to do hard labour. On April 7th, 2007, Mr. Lu developed sudden symptoms of diarrhoea. He couldn't eat anything and became emaciated. He was transferred to the Tailai Hospital for treatment, and x-rays showed that he had developed "double pulmonary tuberculosis and an infection." On May 30th, 2009, he died in Tailai Prison.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xie Deqing, 69, attended the trial of a practitioner on April 29th, and was arrested and taken to the "Chengdu Legal Education Centre". Mr. Xie changed from a robustly healthy, fit person into an emaciated, incontinent human being, unable to eat. Officials laced his food and water with toxic substances and he went into a coma. He died on May 27th, 2009.

Chen Yunchuan was the victim of a fatal car accident on January 11th, 2009. Seven members of Mr. Chen's family practised Falun Gong. Mr. Chen and his wife had four children. Chen's family has suffered brutal persecution over the past ten years and lost several of its members. Sons Chen Aizhong, Chen Aili and daughter Chen Hongping died as a result of torture. Mother Wang died while in exile.

Ms. Tang Xingrong, 39, has been sentenced to a five-year imprisonment by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel from the local police station, the Procuratorate, and the court. She was arrested and taken to the Longquanyi Women's Prison in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province on March 1st, 2009. In the detention centre police from Panzhihua National Security Division handcuffed her, hung her up and then beat her. The evildoers also burned her face with cigarettes. On January 18th or 19th, 2009, prison guards tortured Ms. Tang with the tiger bench method and "dead person's bed," because she refused to wear the prison uniform.

Time frame: 101 months -- July 1999 to December 2008. Number of practitioners who have died from being persecuted: 44. Jinzhou City of Liaoning Province and surrounding areas include: Guta District, Linghe District, Taihe District, Economic Development Area, Linghai City (Jin County), Yi County, Beijing City, Heishan County. Number of practitioners persecuted to death by area: Guta District (4), Linghe District (5), Taihe District (5), Economic Development Area (1), Linghai City (Jin County) (2), Yi County (7), Beijing City (3), Heishan County (10), unknown (8).

The prison officials would reward "collaborators" and criminals with reduced terms. Collaborators or former practitioners who now assisted in brainwashing and torturing practitioners not only used foul words to verbally abuse and insult the practitioners who refused to "reform" but also contributed sinister ideas on how to torture the practitioners. In the evening, the criminals who monitored the practitioners would torture practitioners by hanging them up, beating and kicking them, pinching them on the neck, beating them with wooden clubs or metal rods, forcing them to kneel for a long time, or depriving them of sleep for a long time.

On August 15th, 2007, Ms. Zhong Donglan was arrested by police and taken to the Taiyu Women's Forced Labour Camp. In September 2008, policemen ordered Zhong's family members to pick her up. At that point in time, she had already become mentally ill due to the mistreatment. According to witnesses, personnel at the forced labour camp mixed a unknown drug in powder form into Zhong's food. This drug causes one's teeth to loosen, causes mental disorders and weakens one's body. The sources also said that when Zhong became mentally ill, guards sent her to the mental hospital for further abuse.

On December 2008, officials of the Shenbei New District Court in Shenyang City handed down a very unreasonable judgement and used the charge of "violating the law" in order to sentence Ms. Wang Shumei, Mr. Xi Changhai, Mr. Huo Defu and Mr. Sun Yushu to very heavy penalties. The lawyers, who were hired by Ms. Wang Shumei's and Mr. Xi Changhai's families, pleaded with the officials of the Women's Prison in Liaoning Province to allow them to meet with their clients, but their request was unreasonably denied. In February 2009, the families of Ms. Wang and Mr. Xi separately hired well known human rights lawyers to defend these innocent practitioners. The lawyers were refused many requests to meet the practitioners they were defending.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Min, 51, was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2005 and detained in Daqing Prison. Because he was tortured for a long time, he was very weak and had symptoms of cerebral thrombosis. In April 2009, Mr. Li Min's family visited him and asked the prison to allow his release for medical treatment. However, the prison refused their request. In May 2009, Mr. Li was transferred to Daqing Hospital. On May 23rd, 2009, he passed away

In 2002, Mr. Zhang Xueyi was arrested at home by police and sent to a detention centre. He was detained for two weeks. After that, Zhang Xueyi was constantly harassed by police. I was detained in the Qitaihe First Jail where police interrogated me, along with lots of beating and cursing. On the hottest days of the summer, I was forced to pull weeds, dig holes, and plant trees. I was forced to dig ditches, build dikes, and load, unload and move sand, bricks, and rocks on rainy days. In March 2009, the Qitaihe City Office began a hundred-day campaign to harass practitioners. The police came to where I lived and harassed and arrested practitioners but did not find me. On April 27th, the police came to look for me again. I left home to avoid being arrested and persecuted again.
