Practitioner’s Speech given at the United Nations Commission on Human Rights

On the morning of April 22 2003, a Swiss Falun Gong practitioner read a speech at the plenary session of the 59th United Nations Commission on Human Rights in place of the Representative of the Association of World Citizens to the United Nations and on behalf of the Association. This is the full text of the speech. -
Speech by a Swiss practitioner at a Conference in the United Nations on the Abolition of Execution
2003-04-24"In prisons and in forced labour camps, persecutors use the most barbaric and horrific torture methods known to human civilisation. An incomplete report shows over 100 methods being used to torture or to kill Falun Gong practitioners, including: beating to death, burning alive, tying to motorcycles and dragging to death, throwing from high buildings, subjecting to electric shock treatment (to destroy the mind), raping, gang raping and throwing stripped female practitioners into male prison cells, stretching and tying practitioners’ limbs to the four corners of a metal bed, force feeding highly concentrated liquid pepper and saline solutions, and so on. Ten thousand practitioners have been forcefully sent to psychiatric hospitals to be tortured with injections of large doses of drugs that damage the central nervous system." -
Ireland: Falun Dafa Association and Amnesty International Appeal to the Foreign Affairs Office to Support the Rescue of Liu Feng and Yang Fang
2003-04-15Representatives of the Irish Falun Dafa Association and the Irish branch of Amnesty International formally submitted five thousand postcards, with tens of thousands of signatures from Irish people, to Tom Kitt, Junior Minister of the Foreign Affairs Department. Mr. Kitt indicated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will highlight the cases of Liu Feng and Yang Fang in a joint meeting with China and also in the multilateral talks between the European Union and China. -
Practitioners Reveal the Truth about Falun Dafa to the Consul General of India's Mission to the UN in Geneva
2003-03-27On the 14th March 2003, two practitioners from India met with the Consul General of India’s mission to Geneva to talk about Falun Dafa and the truth behind the lies spread by Jiang and his regime. The meeting lasted for about half an hour. The Consul General said that although he has met with practitioners before, this is the first time he has met Indian practitioners, so he was interested in learning more. -
Forum on Rescuing Falun Gong Practitioners' Family Members Held in Geneva

The forum was initiated by an NGO with its headquarters in Geneva and was held at the United Nations Building. The organisation hoped that through the forum, more countries, international organisations and people with a sense of justice would pay attention to the serious violation of Falun Gong practitioners' human rights and help rescue detained Falun Gong practitioners. -
Dafa Practitioners Meet with the Swedish Foreign Ministry
2003-03-18The Association told the Foreign Ministry how China is irrationally persecuting and killed Falun Gong practitioners, even kidnapping overseas Chinese who have foreign passports whilst they return to China to visit their relatives. They also talked about the Hong Kong anti-subversion law and the lawsuit Falun Gong practitioners have filed against Jiang Zemin and his accomplices. -
A Chance Meeting with the German Foreign Affairs Minister
2003-03-13I greeted him and introduced myself as a Falun Gong practitioner and also as a member of the committee that organise the rescue of Falun Gong practitioners persecuted in China. He shook hands with me warmly after hearing this. I thanked him for his support and appeals for Falun Gong over the past few years. He said, “I am glad to be of help to you and will continue appealing for Falun Gong.” -
Irish Practitioner Tells Taiwan Mayor About Horrific Persecution he Suffered in China

UK: Minister for Foreign Affairs Meets With Falun Gong Association
2003-03-09On February 11 2003, UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Bill Rammell met with representatives of the U.K. Falun Gong Association. The topics discussed included the seriousness of Hong Kong’s enactment of Article 23 and the approaching meeting of the U. N. Human Rights Commission in Geneva. -
Finland: Practitioners meet with the Foreign Minister in Parliament
2003-02-25One of the Finnish practitioners talked about the urgent need for this meeting, outlining the recent of spate of deaths of practitioners in China at the hands of the Jiang regime, as well as the unwillingness of the Chinese government officials to accept worldwide appeals to end this persecution. -

A Chance Encounter between the Greek Premier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Practitioners from Europe and Australia

2002-12-29The activities outside the European Parliament demonstrated the successful efforts of Falun Gong practitioners from all over Europe to deny the persecution of Falun Gong. The meaning of the activities outside the European Parliament served not only to voice practitioners’ opposition to Article 23 legislation but also to lay a deeper foundation for revealing the truth of the persecution all over Europe.
