  • Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Condemn the Terrorist Act of Shooting Falun Gong Practitioners in South Africa by Appealing at the Chinese Embassy

    A spokesperson for the Finnish Falun Dafa Association said in the appeal at the Chinese Embassy in Helsinki, “We believe that Zeng Qinghong and Bo Xilai are most likely behind this shooting incident. They are following closely Jiang Zemin’s orders to persecute and suppress Falun Gong by all means. The persecutors have committed terrible crimes against innocent people, both inside and outside China, and they are afraid that their crimes will be exposed to the world. This is a gross form of terrorism and persecution targeted directly at Falun Gong.”
  • Latvia: Peaceful Appeal at the Chinese Embassy in Riga on World Anti-Torture Day

    June the 26th was World Anti-Torture Day. Latvian practitioners called for a focus on torture and the various abuses inflicted on Falun Gong by the Jiang regime in China. Additionally, they called for the end of the persecution by appealing at the embassy for five consecutive days. Passers-by supported our campaign, and showed compassion for practitioners' suffering in China.
  • Practitioners from Denmark and Sweden Hold an Anti-Torture Exhibition in Copenhagen on United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.

    For the “Anti-Torture Exhibition”, Falun Gong practitioners used live demonstrations and posters to show different methods of torture suffered by fellow practitioners in China. At the same time, other practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. Practitioners introduced to the public, in English and Danish, the five-year long persecution of Falun Gong in China and the facts about Falun Dafa.
  • Calling for an End to the Persecution - Successful Activities in Vienna

    On the morning of Saturday the 19th of June 2004, the plight of Falun Gong practitioners in China was made known to many thousands of people in the historic city of Vienna. Tourists and local citizens alike came to understand more about this traditional cultivation system, as hundreds of practitioners from Europe and the Asia-Pacific region gathered in the city to hold a series of activities.
  • United Kingdom: Clarifying the Facts Outside the Scottish Parliament

    On the 16th of June, a fellow practitioner and I went to the Scottish Parliament in the morning. We talked to the security personnel and were told that we were free to obtain petition signatures outside. We then began distributing materials about Falun Dafa and requesting signatures. Parliament workers were very supportive. Some said, “Because I work for the government I am not allowed to sign any petition. But I do support you.”
  • Practitioners from Europe and the Asia Pacific Region Appeal for an End to the Persecution in front of Austria’s Chinese Embassy

    Many Falun Dafa practitioners from Europe and the Asia Pacific region gathered in front of Austria’s Chinese Embassy to commemorate the hundreds of innocent people killed because they practise Falun Gong, a peaceful exercise and meditation practice based on three guiding principles: Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.
  • Germany: Practitioners Appeal at the Chinese Consulate in Munich to Rescue Beijing Dafa Practitioner Ms Chen Jie

    On June the 11th, German practitioners appealed at the Chinese Consulate in Munich to urge the unconditional release of Beijing Dafa practitioner Chen Jie, who was a staff member of Beijing Youan Hospital’s Laboratory Centre. On June the 2nd 2004, she was illegally arrested at home again by Shijingshan District’s police, and sent to a brainwashing centre.
  • Poland: Chinese Diplomats Use Illegal Actions in Attempts to Stop Falun Gong Appeal

    The beginning of June 2004 saw a visit from the Chinese President Hu Jintao to Poland, accompanied by Minister of Trade Bo Xilai, who has played a significant and extremely evil role in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Because of this, Bo Xilai has already been the subject of legal action in other countries that he has visited, including the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States. Polish practitioners also employed legal action to file a lawsuit against this human rights criminal.
  • Interview: A Western Practitioner's Appeal in China

    The decision to go to Beijing in January 2002 with the intention of appealing for Falun Gong was one which Falun Gong practitioner Earl made with little need for reflection. Talking with a Clearharmony reporter in his West London home, the forty year-old TV cameraman describes how he was inspired by a previous appeal of thirty-five western Falun Gong practitioners a few months earlier.
  • UK: The Second Anniversary of the Twenty-Four Hour Peaceful Appeal Outside the Chinese Embassy in London

    UK practitioners have maintained a twenty-four hour peaceful appeal in front of Chinese Embassy in London for two years. Local residents and passing drivers have been moved by the peaceful and persistent action. A member of the UK parliament said, "If you want to know what a peaceful appeal is, you should go and have a look in front of the Chinese Embassy."
  • Norway: Dafa Practitioners' Appeal During Chinese Dignitary's Visit Receives Enthusiastic Support

    On June 3rd, the Chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC), Wu Bangguo, paid a visit to the Norwegian Parliament. Norwegian practitioners wanted to appeal to Mr Wu to help end the vicious persecution of innocent Falun Gong practitioners taking place in China. At the same time we also wanted to show him that, even in a small arctic country like Norway, people practise Falun Gong and value the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.
  • Ukraine: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in an Appeal to China to End Human Rights Violations

    On June the 6th 2004, Amnesty International took part in activities at the Ukrainian Chinese Embassy, marking the fifteenth anniversary of the 'June 4th Incident' and appealing to China to stop abusing human rights. People from various human rights groups participated in the campaign and the Kiev Falun Gong Association of Ukraine were also invited to take part.
  • Germany: Chen Gang Appeals to Rescue his Sister Illegally Detained in China

    German Falun Gong practitioner Chen Gang wrote to the European Commission, the German Government at all levels, international human rights organisations, the United Nations and various media organisations to appeal for the rescue of his elder sister Chen Jie, who is a Falun Gong practitioner and was illegally arrested on June the 2nd. He also urged the international community to pay attention to China’s on-going trampling of human rights and freedom of belief.
  • United Kingdom: 2004 Scotland Car Tour continues to Meet Many Supportive People

    Four UK Falun Gong practitioners have been on a week long car tour of Scottish cities since Sunday to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong. On Wednesday the 2nd of June, the car tour reached the city of Dundee. People were very supportive of practitioners who are suffering in China. Dundee’s local newspaper published a supportive article.
