Details of the Death Due to Persecution of Ms. Su Yanhua from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Su Yanhua was arrested several times and detained for her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. While incarcerated at the Jiamusi Forced Labour Camp, she refused to give up Falun Gong. The guards savagely beat her, force-fed her, tortured her with the "Death Bed" and the "Big Hang-up", and shocked her with high-voltage electric batons. They forced her to sit on stools with spikes on them, which caused severe and irreversible injuries. She died on May 4th, 2009 as a result. -
Ms. Su Zhifeng Dies as a Result of Torture in Jiangsu Province

Because Ms. Su Zhifeng, 49, distributed leaflets exposing the persecution and told people the facts about Falun Gong in the early years of the persecution, she had to leave town to avoid arrest and survive on the wages of temporary labour. However, in August, 2004, police arrested Ms. Su. They sentenced her to three years in prison in the Nanjing City Women's Prison. Ms. Su was severely tortured there. After being released in 2007, she was very ill and weak. She became bedridden, and her whole body was swollen. She died on May 7th, 2009. -
Ms. Wang Guifen from Changping District in Beijing Died Due to Torture
2009-06-25Personnel from the 610 Office, along with officers from the Domestic Security Division and the police station, seized Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Guifen from Changping District in Beijing on April 15th, 2009. The captors took her under force to the Chaofeng'an Brainwashing Centre and unlawfully detained her there for nearly fifty days. Ms. Wang Guifen was cruelly tortured and died on June 2nd, 2009. -
Mr. Wu Shanhai of Wuhan City, Hubei Province Died as a Result of Torture
2009-06-25Mr. Wu Shanhai was an elderly practitioner. Because he persisted in practising Falun Gong, as well as explaining the facts about Falun Gong, he was incarcerated and tortured. On July 10th, 2007, Wu was exchanging experiences with a few practitioners in a park. He was followed by local police officers and once again arrested and taken to the police station on the grounds of "gathering to overthrow the government" and "colluding with overseas anti-China forces." Three days later, the police ordered his family members to fetch him. At that time, Wu Shanhai's body was extremely weak and he could not eat. He had been tortured until he was on the brink of death. One week later, he passed away. -
Ms. Li Bo and Mr. Li Daiquan Died as a Result of the Persecution
2009-06-25Mr. Li Daiquan, 56 years old, from the Nanpiao District went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, and March 13th, 2000. In the evening on June 24th, 2001, he was arrested by the Shaguotun Township Police Station for writing "Falun Gong is good" and locked up in a detention centre. As a result, he was physically and mentally abused. After being released from the detention centre, he wandered around to avoid being arrested again. He was sent home in November 2003 after suffering a stroke. He passed away on March 20th, 2009. -
The Relentless Abuse Mr. Li Min Suffered Before He Died as a Result of Torture
2009-06-25Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Min was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2005. While imprisoned, he was regularly tortured in Ward 7 of Daqing Prison, and his health deteriorated dramatically, causing symptoms of a stroke. In April 2009 his family members, who were there visiting him, asked that he be released for medical treatment, but the request was denied by the prison officials. Mr. Li died on May 23rd. -
Siping Prison Inmates Beat Practitioner to Death Under the Connivance of Prison Guards
2009-06-24Mr. Dong Fengshan was sent to Siping Prison in October 2008 to undergo "transformation" because he persevered in practising Falun Gong. Five prison inmates beat Mr. Dong for a total of two hours, under the connivance of prison guards. They used special leather whips that made noises so loud that the whole prison could hear them. Mr. Dong was a steadfast practitioner who did not utter a word and simply silently chanted "Falun Gong is good" while being beaten. Mr. Dong was so badly injured that he died the next day. -
The Persecution and Untimely Death of Older Mr. Wang Hongrong in Hefei City, Anhui Province

59-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Hongrong was sentenced to jail for eight years in 2005 by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was tortured by prison guards in Suzhou Prison and became paralysed. The police released him when he was in critical condition and the hospital diagnosed him with bone cancer. Two months later, on June 22nd, 2007, he passed away at home. -
Ms. Guo Juxiang from Shandong Province Died from Long Term Torture
2009-06-21Ms. Guo Juxiang was reported for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong and police arrested her in September 2001. Zhang Shaobo and some other policemen kicked her in the lower back to the point where she could no longer stand up. A team leader at the detention centre shocked her with four or five electric batons until she lost consciousness. She was arrested again in 2001 and taken to Wangcun Forced Labour Camp. Three months later, the forced labour camp instructed her family to pay a fee and take her back home. Ms. Guo could no longer take care of herself because of the ordeals that she'd gone through. Ms. Guo passed away on January 26th, 2009. -
Elderly Mr. Huang Huaxian Dies after Suffering Police Abuse; Family Harassed
2009-06-20After the persecution started in 1999, 70-year-old Huang Huaxian told people about the beauty of Falun Gong and about the lies and propaganda spread by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to justify the persecution. The CCP never stopped harassing him. They ransacked his home many times, extorted money from him, threatened him, arrested him and sent him to a brainwashing centre and to a detention house on two occasions. On June 22nd, 2008, police deceitfully got Mr. Huang to go to a CCP village meeting to "Expose and Criticize Huang Huaxian". At the meeting, Mr. Huang was publicly criticized, humiliated and verbally attacked. He felt severe anguish, and his blood pressure sky rocketed. Three days later Mr. Huang passed away. -
Mr. Du's Two Sons-in-law Died of Persecution, One Daughter Imprisoned
2009-06-20On May 23rd, 2009, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Ming died at Daqing Prison. Mr. Li's father-in-law is Du Yude. Du Yude's other son-in-law, Mr. Yu Huaicai died from persecution at Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp in 2007. Mr. Du's daughter Du Xiuzhi, Li Ming's wife, is currently incarcerated at Harbin Women's Prison. Mr. Yu Huaicai went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution in Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. As a result, he was brutally force-fed by the guards. He had been a healthy man, 1.91 metres tall and weighed over 261 lbs. At the time of his death, he only weighted about 100 lbs. -
Four Falun Gong Practitioners from Hubei and Jilin Provinces Died as a Result of the Persecution
2009-06-20In March 2000, Mr. Dai Kewu was detained and sentenced to one year of forced labour; and again sentenced to two years of forced labour in 2002. He suffered from torture by police officers and prisoners at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp. His whole body was swollen; he lost the capability of taking care of himself, and became critically ill. The police of the labour camp told his family to take him home, due to fear of having to take responsibility for his death. After Mr. Dai's return home, the police continued to harass him many times. His health continued to get worse, and Mr. Dai died on December 31st, 2006. -
Ms. Liu Junling Passed Away After Torture and Long-term Abuse by 610 Office Agents in Laixi, Shandong Province
2009-06-18Ms. Liu Junling, 60, was arrested in 2005 and sentenced to Wangcun Forced Labour Camp for a year. Policemen forced Liu Junling to undergo brainwashing, forcing her to watch videos and read materials that defamed Falun Gong, and forcing her to write or sign statements denouncing Falun Gong. Liu Junling was also forced to do slave labour until 10 p.m. every day. Both her body and mind suffered tremendous stress, and she could not sleep at night. On April 27th, 2006, she was released from the camp. Her health deteriorated continuously, and she was diagnosed with lung cancer and rectum cancer. She passed away on July 20th, 2007. -
Qingyang District Procuratorate and Chengdu City Court Persecute Practitioners and Cause the Death of Ms. Huang Min
2009-06-17Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Huang Min, former deputy director of the Small Business Bureau of Chengdu City, was found tortured to death on August 15th, 2007 while in custody. When the family saw her body, she only weighed about 55 pounds. Her facial expression showed a lot of pain, with her eyes barely opened, her head leaning to the right, her mouth wide open, and her upper teeth exposed. One of her bottom teeth was missing. An unknown pungent yellow coloured drug was found in her mouth, with some covering her teeth and some on her face. Her fingers were clenched tightly as if she was trying to grab something. Her arms had black and blue finger-tip-size marks. The police forced the family to cremate her body that same day. -
Additional Information About Ms. Liu Liyun Tortured to Death at Liaoning Women's Prison in 2002
2009-06-17Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Liyun was tortured to death at the Liaoning Women's Prison on July 23rd, 2002. When viewing the body, one could see that the head was swollen. The prison officials deceived her father into signing the death certificate and cremation authorization. They would not let her father see more than her head in a darkened room to conceal the torture. Before her death, some sources acknowledged that the police had locked Mrs. Liu Liyun into a solitary cell and ordered eight inmates to take turns torturing her. The prisoners took Ms. Liu to a corner of the cell, pushed her to the concrete floor, stretched her hands out horizontally, and pulled her legs apart. When she closed her eyes or lowered her head, she was brutally beaten.
