Practitioners Peng Weisheng and His Father Have Been Detained for One Year in Wuhan City, Hubei Province

Practitioners Peng Liang and Peng Weisheng, father and son were arrested by police on May 28th, 2008, under the guise of safeguarding the Beijing Olympics. The police also ransacked their home, tortured and interrogated them, and put them in a forced labour camp. The father was sentenced to a year and a half, and the son to a year of forced labour. They are currently detained in Hewan Forced Labour Camp in Wuhan City. Since the Chinese Communist Party began the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, Mr. Peng's son, was tortured to death in prison because of his steadfast cultivation in Falun Gong. Mr. Peng's wife was also killed by the police when she tried to expose the torture committed against her son. -
Mum Persecuted to Death, Dad Detained - Letter to the Guards of Duyun Prison from Nine-Year-Old Xiao Xixi
2009-06-02I am only nine years old. I am an orphan and no one takes care of me. In 2001, my mum was persecuted to death by policemen from the 610 Office and the National Security Group of Jiahe County, because she was a Falun Gong practitioner. She passed away before I could recognize her. Currently, my dad, Xiao Sixian is jailed in your prison. My dad did nothing wrong. Everybody thought that he was a good person. Please don't torture him any more. My teacher told me that a prison was built to jail criminals. My dad not only did not break any law, but also was a good teacher in his school. Why is he jailed? Does my teacher tell lies? Or, are you guys liars? -
Older Falun Gong Practitioner Sun Jianmin from Tangshan City Persecuted to Death
2009-05-29Falun Gong practitioner Sun Jianmin was a kind and generous man. He began to practise Falun Gong in 1998. He benefited greatly both physically and mentally, and his family became harmonious once more. When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Gong, he was tortured at Hehuakeng Forced Labour Camp until he suffered a stroke. His family was harassed for a long time by the local police. He passed away on April 27th, 2009, at the age of 61. -

Recent Crimes Committed by Officials in Zhucheng City, Shandong Province
2009-05-27On March 30th-31th, 2009, the Zhucheng City Municipal Committee, along with the Political and Judiciary Committee, the 610 Office, and officers from the Zhucheng City Police Department, arrested over 20 practitioners in their local area. In 2008, over twenty practitioners in Zhucheng City were sentenced to forced labour, and several have been detained. Ms. Liu Xiumei from Shunwang Street was tortured to death at a local detention centre. Ms. Wang Jinxiu from the Dianzi District was forced to jump from a third story window and suffered compound fractures in her legs. -
Recalling the Persecution of Ms. Liu Guangfeng
2009-05-26I learned from an Internet report that Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Guangfeng was arrested when she was travelling by train. She was persecuted and killed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on April 4th, 2009. In Shayang Forced Labour Camp she and other firm Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to all kinds of torture. They were forced to watch videos defaming Falun Gong. The physical torture included standing and crouching for long periods of time, cruel beatings, shocking with electric batons, and having their faces slapped. Even though they were forced to do heavy labour, the practitioners were not allowed to sleep. -
Severe Abuse and Deaths at Mudanjiang Prison
2009-05-20Disposable chopsticks and children's clothes made at Mudanjiang Prison are all exported to Japan. These products carry lots of bacteria, germs and fleas, because the detainees who make them cannot wash for up to 20 days. They work 12 hours a day and are forced to do more work after returning to the cell at night if they didn't meet their daily quota. The guards beat people who are sick. Jin Youfeng did not meet the workload quota. The abusers tortured him with the method called "Riding an Airplane." He was also brutally beaten and force-fed pepper powder. Jin Youfeng developed severe tuberculosis and died on January 21st, 2009. -
Ms. Yang Zhuting of Baoding City, Hebei Province Endured Years of Persecution Before Her Death

Practitioner Yang Zhuting was arrested many times and forced to stay away from home ever since the Jiang Zemin [former leader of China and instigator of the persecution] regime began its persecution of Falun Gong. The persecution also created a huge amount of stress on her family members. To escape from the reality of the situation, her husband drank heavily, and died of alcohol poisoning in March 2003. As a result of all the hardships and stresses, she developed oesophageal cancer, and died in December 2006. -
Two Practitioners Die as a Result of Persecution
2009-05-20Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province is one of the most notorious forced labour camps in China. Many practitioners have been tortured, disabled and or even killed in there. One year of detention in the forced labour camp left 58-year-old practitioner Ma Xicheng emaciated and disease-ridden. On December 14th, 2008, Ma Xicheng passed away. Over the years of persecution, Ms. Wei Guirong suffered tremendously both mentally and physically. In the winter of 2006, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, later developing into bone cancer. On March 22nd, 2008, she passed away at the age of 54. -
Recalling Fellow Practitioner Mr. Gu Qun

Mr. Gu Qun, 50 years old, was a practitioner from Dalian City, Liaoning Province. On March 16th, 2008, police arrested him while he was distributing Falun Gong materials. The next day, he was transferred to the Yaojia Detention Centre. He held a hunger strike to protest his arrest but he was brutally force-fed. His body suffered serious injury from the force-feeding. Later, he was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour. On April 9th, 2008, his family was notified of his death. -
Rural Woman Abducted, Sent to Forced Labour Camp, and Tortured to Death by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Officials

Ms. Shi Yongqing, 35, became healthy throught practising Falun Gong by living according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Yet, the township Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary abducted her and later sentenced her to forced labour. She died on January 9th, 2004, as a result of gross abuse and mistreatment at the hands of personnel from the police department, the Political and Judiciary Committee, and the 610 Office as well as local officials. -
Two Practitioners Died as a Result of Persecution, One in Jining City and the Other in Hancuan City
2009-05-15On February 18th, 2004, Mr. Guo Zhengpei, 48, was arrested while he was at his workplace. He was taken to Shayang Forced Labour Camp, where he was brutally tortured until he could not get out of bed and then was taken to the hospital. He was diagnosed with tuberculosis and accumulation of water in the lungs. The hospital decided to operate on him the next day to take out the water. The forced labour camp was afraid of him dying from the operation, so they notified his family to pick him up. After returning home, Mr. Guo continued to have no energy and kept losing weight each day. He passed away on April 25th, 2009. -
Three Falun Gong Practitioners from Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province Die from Persecution
2009-05-12On February 6th, 2003 police arrested Mr. Liu Leiwan because he practised Falun Gong. A court sentenced him to six years in prison. During his detention in Nanchang Prison he was tortured in many ways and had to work many hours, resulting in blood in his urine every day. He became very weak. On February 6th, 2008, his family was told to take him home. He died two months later. After his death, the 610 Office threatened his family, so they would not allow Falun Gong practitioners to pay their final respects at his home. -
Mr. Chen Naiye, 63, from Shanwei City, Guangdong Province, Dies as a Result of Persecution
2009-05-12Mr. Chen Naiye was again seized by police on March 19th, 2002, when he was distributing Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution. He was taken to the Shanwei Detention Centre and subjected to brutal tortures. His chest became very swollen after numerous beatings. On July 19th, 2002 he was taken to the Sanshui Forced Labour Camp. Because he refused to be "reformed," the camp guards tortured him savagely, and he lost consciousness. The guards stuffed him into a freezer and prepared to cremate him. He regained consciousness and shouted aloud for help. When his family finally took him home on October 12th, 2002, he was barely alive. Thereafter police frequently went to his home to harass him. Chen Naiye died on March 4th, 2009, at the age of 63. -
Mr. Fu Ziming Tortured to Death within Two Days of His Arrest
2009-05-06Mr. Fu Ziming participated in a group tour held by the post office where he worked. On April 17th, 2009, at the Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area in Fujian Province, he wrote on a rock with crayon: "Falun Gong is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good", which was recorded by a surveillance camera. That night, he was arrested at the hotel by the Scenic Administration District Police Station of Wuyi Police Department. Within two days, he died from torture.
