  • Hewan Forced Labour Camp Forces Practitioners to Do Slave Labour

    Over the last decade, guards and prisoners at Hewan Forced Labour Camp in Wuhan have committed thousands of evil deeds to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. They force practitioners to do slave labour, beat them, and constantly monitor them. In April 2009, guard Zhang Hao and others beat, kicked, and used electric batons to shock practitioner Mr. Yang Chengtao because he refused to do the slave labour. As a result, Yang became incontinent.
  • Ms. Liu Hefang Persecuted at the Chongqing Shimahe Women's Forced Labour Camp

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Hefang has been detained and persecuted at the Shimahe Women's Forced Labour Camp in Jiangbei District since September 18th, 2009. During the last two months Ms. Liu started a hunger strike in protest of the persecution. She was brutally force-fed many times by the police, causing the food they forced down into her stomach to burst out from her mouth. Ms. Liu is still being held in the small cell. Her body is very weak due to long-term abuse. She needs others to hold her when she uses the toilet, and she cannot manage her daily life.
  • A Kind Peasant, Ms. Liu Yanqin, 54, Brutally Tortured

    Fifty-four-year-old Ms. Liu Yanqin lives in Fushun City area, Liaoning Province. Because of her firm belief in Falun Gong, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials frequently harassed her. They arrested her and sentenced her to forced labour several times. Ms. Liu Yanqin was brutally tortured while imprisoned. In July 2008, police officers arrested Ms. Liu Yanqin under the pretext of security for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. They tortured her brutally by means of forcing her to sit on a "tiger bench," force-feeding her with wine, inserting lit cigarettes into her nostril, and hanging her up to beat her. After they tortured her for two days and one night, Ms. Liu Yanqin's hands were disabled. She is now detained in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp.
  • Masanjia Forced Labour Camp--Hell on Earth

    Masanjia Forced Labour Camp is the provincial-level labour camp in Liaoning Province. The degree of its evilness is beyond description. The horrors in that camp are also beyond the imagination of anyone who has not personally experienced them. Ma Yaozong, who is disabled and has to use crutches, had to harvest wheat. Mr. Li Changxi's leg was badly injured from a car accident and he was in excruciating pain, yet he had to harvest wheat and perform other kinds of hard labour. The guards did not provide medical treatment. Finally, due to an acute infection, he was taken to a hospital, as the guards did not want to accept responsibility for his health. Everyone had to work and only death could release one from hard labour .
  • Barbaric Abuse of Practitioners Inside Sanshui Women's Forced Labour Camp in Guangdong Province

    The Sanshui Women's Forced Labour Camp utilises brutal methods to force Falun Gong practitioners to "transform". The guards usually lock the practitioner in a small cell and disallow all contact. Even taking a walk in the small cell requires authorisation from the guards, not to mention other activities. There is no freedom in the forced labour camp, yet practitioners have to endure even more inhumane persecution and suffering in the small cell.
  • Methods of Torture Used in Chongqing City Women's Forced Labour Camp

    The authorities of the labour camp screened the most ruthless, poisonous, and wicked inmates to control the practitioners and provided them with special training session just for that purpose. During the training, the inmates were told publicly, "Any benevolence towards Falun Gong is an injury to yourself." The guards publicly incite and force the inmates to do evil, and the inmates go all out to persecute the practitioners to gain rewards.
  • Ms. Su Wei Arrested Again After Enduring Torture at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

    Due to her Falun Gong practice and faith in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, Beijing practitioner Ms. Su Wei has been arrested and persecuted by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials on several occasions. Ms. Su was detained twice in forced labour camps, and endured inhuman torture at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. Guards used a vicious and cruel punishment, being "Hung Up", on Ms. Su and other practitioners. This torture is just like "being split by five horses"; after they were handcuffed, their hands were spread apart, then locked to the leg of one of the two beds. Then, two male guards forcefully pulled each of the two beds apart in opposite directions, until the practitioners' arms couldn't be stretched any more. On September 11th, 2009, Ms. Su was arrested again, and currently is detained at Beijing's Chaoyang Detention Centre.
  • Mr. Liu Changping from Jinzhou City Sent to Forced Labour for the Third Time

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Changping, a taxi driver from Jinzhou City in Liaoning Province, was arrested on July 15th, 2009, and on August 12th he was transferred to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. This was the third time he had been sent to a forced labour camp. His family demanded to see him, but were refused without reason. When Mr. Liu was imprisoned in Jinzhou Forced Labour Camp he was twice locked in solitary confinement and handcuffed all day to a wooden board. After long-term mistreatment, his entire body became covered with scabies, which was unbearable, and his blood pressure rose to 220. He also lost consciousness twice, was attacked with electric batons, and beaten while hung up by his handcuffs.
  • Torture and Crimes Against Humanity at Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

    In June 2008, the camp held a meeting for attacking Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang Guozhen shouted, "Falun Gong is good!" Zhang Chunguang tortured her with the "big hang up" for more than ten hours. She was then unable to walk and her wrists were full of blisters. On October 7th, Ms. Zhang was shocked with the electric baton for more than three hours and guard Zhang Chunguang slapped her with a shoe sole.
  • Ms. Xiao Deying Mistreated in Baimalong Forced Labour Camp

    Ms. Xiao Deying was arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labour in 2008. She suffered brainwashing, slave labour and corporal punishment in the Baimalong Forced Labour Camp. She was locked in a small cell and forced to sit on a small bench all day long. The police sent three inmates to brainwash her and three drug addicts to watch her. One of the inmates, Wu Lin from Changsha City, screamed and cursed at Ms. Xiao almost non-stop except when she was sleeping or eating. Under the brutal torture, Ms. Xiao was forced to give up her practice of Falun Gong.
  • Gross Mistreatment of Practitioners Continues at the Hebei Women's Forced Labour Camp

    Practitioners in Hebei Women's Forced Labour Camp have been forced to do extremely hard labour that is beyond the their physical endurance. They have to load and unload products from the first floor to the second and third floors. They also have to make mobile phone covers and shower curtains. It is said that the shower curtains are to be exported overseas. Some practitioners sort chopsticks and pick out cotton seeds (the seeds are for the Academy of Hebei Province Agricultural Science and the Academy of Shijiazhuang City Agricultural Science), paste labels onto the bottles of chemical fertilizers and instant noodles and make lanterns.
  • Practitioners Tortured at Shijiazhuang Women's Labour Camp

    Many Falun Gong practitioners are being detained in Division 4 of Shijiazhuang Labour Camp, Hebei Province. In order to force practitioners give up their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the guards there brutally torture and humiliate practitioners. As a consequence, some practitioners are force-fed, and they vomit blood. Five practitioners were deprived of access to the toilet and were not allowed to interact with other people. They had to urinate and defecate in the small, dark and damp cell. Police guards did not allow them to wash or change their clothing. Every day they were handcuffed and forced to sit on small stools.
  • Ms. Zhou Liying Tortured in Hohhot Women's Forced Labour Camp

    On September 2nd, 2007, policen arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhou Liying. Later she was sentenced to two years of forced labour and now she is still detained in Hohhot Women's Forced Labour Camp. In the labour camp, as she refused to be "transformed", she suffered physical punishments numerous times. Once she shouted "Falun Gong is good" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good", and the guards took turns attacking her. She was not allowed to sleep for three consecutive days and not allowed to use the toilet for thirteen hours. Once the guards ordered her to stand for eight consecutive days and the guards forced her to labour in the glove workshop for 15 hours a day.
  • Brutal Torture Methods Used in Shandong Province Forced Labour Camps

    In order to force Falun Gong practitioners into giving up their practice, guards at the Shandong Province First Women's Labour Camp and Men's Labour Camp use very cruel torture methods. The guards hang female practitioners in the form of a cross by their handcuffs, with their feet barely touching the floor. The practitioners are given very little food each day, just enough to barely sustain them from dying. The guards at the men's labour camp tie practitioners' private parts with ropes. This blocks the urine flow, causing the entire body to swell. It is extremely painful.
  • The Persecution of Practitioners in Tumuji Forced Labour Camp in 2009

    Over 20 Falun Gong practitioners are detained in the men's section of Tumuji Forced Labour Camp in Jalaid Qi, Xinganmeng, Inner Mongolia. After it became known that the Tumuji Forced Labour Camp didn't allow practitioners to make phone calls home and forced them to work extra hours at night to weave carpets, and practitioners resistance of the persecution were exposed, the labour camp eased up a little, although they still did not allow practitioners to make phone calls home. They even checked the luggage of those inmates who were released in case any practitioners' letters were taken out.
