Tragedy in the Classroom -- The Attack on the Chinese Educational System Resulting From the Persecution Policies of Jiang and His Followers Against Falun Gong (II)

Liu Qian, a 12-year-old girl and a third-grade student at the Gegezhuang Village Elementary School, Hebei Province, was diagnosed on November 15, 2003 to be suffering from acute leukaemia. Seven days after she started practising Falun Gong, she completely recovered. Unfortunately, her school did not allow her to continue her studies, simply because she would not give up her practice of Falun Gong. Being a young child, Liu Qian was unable to deal with this cruel situation. She suddenly passed away on the 22nd day of the first month of the Lunar New Year of 2004. -

Suizhou City Officials Falsely Blame Falun Gong Practitioners When Unemployed Workers Strike After Failed Appeals to Higher Authorities
2004-06-04The Tieshu Group textile factory in Suizhou City once employed a few thousand workers, but has now gone bankrupt due to corrupt dealings between the factory leaders and the local government officials. In order to be able to support themselves, many jobless workers appealed to higher authorities on several occasions with no result. Finally, the unemployed workers protested by blocking the local railways. Information circulating among the workers said that Mayor Wu Chao was falsely telling the higher authorities that the railway blockings were caused by Falun Gong practitioners. Twenty of them were falsely arrested for allegedly practising Falun Gong and taken to the Hubei Province Denglin Farm (a jail), where the police did not allow visits from their family members. -
Authorities on the Rampage Destroying a Happy Family in Shandong Province
2004-05-28Falun Dafa Practitioner Diao Xihui is twenty-nine years old. His wife, Lu Yanna, is thirty-one years old. They are from Longkou City and are both teachers. Their first child was born on March 29, 2004 and only ten days later Diao Xihui disappeared, presumed arrested for telling people about the persecution of Falun Dafa. Realizing that she was in danger, and not having recovered from giving birth Lu Yanna moved out to avoid further persecution. However, she did not escape. Police from Longkou City found her and took her and her daughter back to Longkou City even though her daughter was not even one month old. At present, no one knows where Ms. Lu is. -
The Authorities Arrest Two Sisters; their Mother Dies of a Heart Attack Brought on From Worry and Grief
2004-05-26In January of 2004, police officers in Handan City, Hebei Province arrested Ms. Tang Hui, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Handan. Upon witnessing both of her daughters being dragged into the police vehicles, Li Lunhui was extremely worried and very upset. Soon Li and her husband went together to the office of An Zhenzhi, the person responsible for arresting her daughters. The couple insisted that they be permitted to visit their daughters, but were refused. Having learned that her daughters were being tortured while in custody, Ms. Li became extremely upset. She suffered a sudden, massive heart attack, and died at 6:30 a.m., March 30, 2004. In such a short period of time, a happy family was torn apart by tragedy as a result of the persecution. -
Illegal Extortion in the No. 1 Female Forced Labour Camp of Shandong Province
2004-05-24The No. 1 Female Forced Labour Camp of Shandong Province not only mentally and physically tortures Falun Gong practitioners, but also uses many means to extort money from them. The following are some cases of the forced labour camp extorting Falun Gong practitioners' money. To "help and educate" (brainwash) one practitioner, he/she is charged 3,000 Yuan. This is not forced labour, but one who is "helped and educated" has no personal freedom. Usually, these brainwashing sessions last from twenty days to three months. -
Beijing Police Create "National Guard Team" to Implement State-Terrorist Tactics Against Dafa Practitioners
2004-05-22The police stations in all districts and counties of Beijing maintain a team of people -- the National Guard Team -- whose job is to constantly monitor Falun Gong practitioners. This team organizes and scouts for opportunities to abduct practitioners and ruthlessly strikes whenever they are given the order. In parts of the countryside, this team has climbed over walls and entered windows to raid homes and abduct Falun Gong practitioners. The team was especially active around the Party's 16th Congress, when Jiang Zemin's regime issued a secret order whereby all districts and counties were required to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. -
Policemen in Baochang City Violently Abduct a Small and Weak Female Practitioner
2004-05-05"One day in April, when I walked by the Grain Bureau Building, a scene unfolding in front of a clothing store caused me to stop. I saw four or five men gathered around a woman; one man grabbed her with one hand and threw her down from the top of a flight of stairs. Such ruthless and violent behaviour dumfounded me. Upon taking a closer look, I found that the man was policeman Zhao Baoming, out of uniform, followed closely by two more plain-clothed policemen. The three of them dragged that woman into a van. She struggled hard, all the while shouting, "I practise Falun Gong. I am a good person. This is persecution!"" -
Shandong Province Corrupt Captain, Zhu Pengde, Committed Crimes of Extortion and Torturing Dafa Practitioners to Death
2004-05-05Zhu Pengde, 50 years old, is the captain of the political security brigade of Zhucheng City's Police Department in Weifang Region, Shandong Province. In order to be able to move up in his career, he has done all he can to initiate and participate in plans to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Zhu Pengde made a specialty out of capturing and detaining Dafa practitioners in Weifang's liaison office in Beijing, he used his political power to extort large sums of money from practitioners' families for his own personal enrichment, ranging from 1,000 Yuan up to 10,000 Yuan. Zhu Pengde is also one of those officials who is directly responsible for deaths of practitioners in Weifang. -
Slave Labour and Disguised Extortion in Detention Centres in Hubei Province
2004-05-05Detention centre guards in Wuhan, Hubei Province force detainees to do slave labour in their prison cells. For example, in Xiangfan City No. 1 Detention Centre, they force the detainees in their cells to produce medicine boxes, and to assemble elementary and preschool textbooks. The detention centre enforcers also collect tainted money. Not only do the slave labourers not get a single penny; but on top of that, some detainees are forced to pay 20 Yuan in "accommodation and meals fees" for each day they are locked up. -
Shandong Province "Anti Evil Religion Reconnaissance Military Unit." Seize Teacher at School
2004-05-01Falun Dafa practitioner Yang Depeng was very kind and outstanding in his work as a teacher. However, on the afternoon of January 2, 2004 around 4 o'clock, while he was teaching his class, he was seized by Captain Xu Guangrong from the Zhucheng City's police task force known as the "Anti Evil Religion Reconnaissance Military Unit." Captain Xu Guangrong searched his desk, took his computer from his office and detained him giving the reason that Yang had typed, "Falun Dafa is great" on his computer. Yang was detained for a month. Police forced his family to pay 3,000 yuan before he was released. -

Sun Ke, a Non-Practitioner, is Framed and Sentenced to Forced Labour for Speaking Out Against Injustice to Falun Gong Practitioners
2004-04-20On December 18, 2003, Dehui resident Sun Ke spoke out about the injustice done towards his younger brother, Falun Gong practitioner Sun Qian, who was detained and beaten by police in front of the Dehui City Court. As a consequence of Sun Ke's complaint, the police forged a document to frame him, and he was sentenced to one year of "reeducation" in a forced labour camp. In the labour camp Mr. Sun is suffering harsh injustices.
