'On Christmas Eve, I was thinking about the Dafa practitioners in Mainland China who have become destitute and homeless in the bitter cold of winter. Although I live in Sweden, which is far from China, I feel my heart is closely linked with the hearts of the Mainland practitioners.'

"Power, money and economy are treading on human rights. This vicious circle must be broken in as many regions as possible. A very good opportunity has been provided to Zürich – to highlight the issue of Falun Gong in China. Human rights have been squashed in China, especially issues of conscience and belief."

"Note, as an article that only gained its form after the Tiananmen massacre in Beijing, Article 23 therefore reflects the Chinese communist paranoia of then and now. The negative reaction of even the business class in Hong Kong speaks for itself. It reflects a broad civil discontent about a diffuse consultation process about the legal execution of article 23."

'The legislation is supposed to protect national security, but pro-democracy politicians, human rights campaigners and others say Hong Kong's civil rights and credibility as a financial hub are at stake.'

At noon December 19, 2002, Chinese-Australians from all walks of life rallied at Circular Quay to show their concern and strong opposition to Hong Kong's Article 23 legislation, which will destroy human rights, democracy and freedom in Hong Kong.

"Not only are many of the proposals in Article 23 bad policy and misguided law on their own merits, but their practical effect will be to reduce the economic incentives for businesses, entrepreneurs, and scholars to congregate in Hong Kong. The "chilling effect" that will occur as Hong Kong essentially imports the same heavy-handed human rights policies practiced in the Chinese mainland will be significant and measurable."

The interior of the grisly water dungeon in the labour camp is a big cement pool. Next to it is an iron rack that is used to hang people in the water, and above that is a cement cover. The people inside this grim chamber can't tell whether it is day or night. The water is so deep that people cannot touch the bottom and have to move continuously and keep awake.

Sadistic policemen stripped off my clothes, leaving only my underwear and forced me to sit on the floor. They started to beat me and shocked me with three electric batons simultaneously. I cannot begin to describe the pain and humiliation from this torture! My underwear was stained with blood.

A group of savage guards pulled him out, and beat and kicked him, pulled his hair, and slammed his head against a wall in a terrifying frenzy. Then they locked him up in an iron cage, tied him to an iron chair..The person who was in charge of the labour camp said, "You can go ahead and appeal, but it won't help you at all no matter where you appeal."

After going through over eight months of mental and physical torture Ma Guilin became terminally ill and was sent to hospital. Her Daughter from Australia requested a visa from the chinese consulate to go see her, but due to the fact that she was a Falun Gong practitioner her visa was delayed until her mother was dead.

As you embark on these activities, I wish you and your fellow supporters well and commend you for you dedication to a practise which, as you state in your letter, aims to "bring peace to the hearts of everyone."

A practitioner encounters Traditional Chinese Medicine repeatedly, even in western medicine school, but not until years later does he begin to understand its true role in healing and what it might possibly take to really be a good doctor of Chinese medicine.

The health and harmony that practitioners receive from practising Falun Dafa will naturally arouse people’s interest in these benefits. Then we can also tell them about the truth of persecution. Furthermore, the Christmas holiday period is longer than the others. I hope we have all planned to make good use of this very special moment.

In everything we do, what really matters is our Falun Dafa practitioners' righteous thoughts. In anything we do, we must have the right mind and stand on the right fundamental point. Moreover, we must purify our minds when doing things and should not be attached to the outcome; all that we do is to reveal the truth to people.
