Danish practitioners have all come to a clear understanding that Article 23 will allow Jiang Zemin to directly persecute Dafa practitioners in Hong Kong, as well as other groups such as Christians and democrats. Therefore, they have taken the initiative to personally speak to Members of the European Parliament, reveal the truth to local Chinese people and send letters of appeal to Danish Government agencies, parliamentarians and foreign embassies.

"We hope that Hong Kong will not follow the Chinese system of general regulations that allow completely random persecution of political dissidents. In particular we fear, just like Mrs. Malmström, for the adherents of Falun Gong whose peaceful protest cannot justify any persecution."

On December 22 2002, some Swiss Dafa practitioners overcame many difficulties, and gathered outside Chinese Embassy in Switzerland to do the Falun Gong exercises and send forth righteous thoughts to join in the worldwide activities against the Article 23 legislation in Hong Kong.

On Friday December 21st, many different associations and members of the public gathered to publicly voice their opposition against Jiang Zemin’s attempts to export his regime of hatred to Hong Kong and persecute innocent Hong Kong citizens and visitors to the area.

"We expect the government of Hong Kong to listen to the voices of Hong Kong's people, who oppose the implementation of Article 23, and we expect that they will listen to the human rights organisations' appeals from all over the world."

European Friends of Falun Gong wrote to Queen Elizabeth to inform her about the persecutory nature of Article 23. The vast sums of public funds that Jiang's criminal regime has spent on the persecution of Falun Dafa resemble what any other country would spend in times of war. However, the reality is that their goal of completely eradicating Falun Dafa and the principles of Truth, Compassion, Forbearance from the hearts of the people have all been in vain.

The Austrian Christian Solidarity International (CSI) is a Christian human rights organization. To arouse people’s concern over those being cruelly persecuted in China, and ensure people do not forget practitioners being incarcerated and physically abused, a Christmas card campaign was launched on December 24.

Tang Chunfang was not feeling well and lying in bed, unable to move. She had lost consciousness by the time the policemen pried her door open. Yet in spite of her condition, the barbaric policemen still carried her into the police vehicle. They also stole her life savings.

'The French Branch of Chinese Democracy Party Union announced in a statement today that in order to protest and object against the HKSAR’s [Hong Kong Government’s] proposed Article 23 legislation, all members of the French Branch of the Chinese Democracy Party Union will go on a one day hunger strike on Christmas Day.'

'No one can be sure of the exact size of China's Internet police force, but estimates hover between 30,000 and 40,000 officers. And their back-up is impressive--China has just spent $200 million on new firewall technology as well. But for those who still try to access forbidden material, China's punishment is swift and severe.'

My father-in-law is sympathetic to Dafa practitioners..when two practitioners were being followed by four policemen, he said them: "You better leave here, they've followed you for about an hour. Do you have any money? I can lend you some, please call a taxi and go."

During my recent trip to the US, I had the chance to clarify the truth in depth to several travellers. As I was travelling alone, I had a greater opportunity to speak to strangers about Falun Dafa and clarify the truth to them. Whenever appropriate, I would talk to the passengers seated next to me and explain to them the inhumane persecution of Falun Dafa in China and my reason for travelling to Houston.
