On 18 and 19 of December, more than 50 Falun Dafa practitioners gathered in front of the European Parliament building in Strasbourg, France. They practised the Falun Gong exercises and together called upon the European Parliament to publicly denounce the enactment of Article 23 in Hong Kong.

The European branch of the Global League Against Article 23 gathered in Frankfurt to protest against the establishment of Article 23 in Hong Kong. This protest activity received support from many non-governmental organizations, including student associations from across Germany and democratic rights associations.

We still remember one year ago, when some practitioners proposed to set up "Changchun Falun Dafa Day," we all felt very inspired and excited...Ever since then practitioners in various places in China also had Falun Dafa Days, one after another.

Beijing police brutally persecuted Dafa practitioners during the 16th Party Congress, using deception, threats, coercion, and other means to both physically and mentally torture Dafa practitioners.

Dafa practitioners are not afraid or shaken by this evil persecution. They are persistent in their righteous thoughts and righteous actions and they always conduct themselves openly and nobly.

Before the Chinese Communist Party's 16th Congress, Pingdu city police orgainsed a mass arrest of Dafa practitioners who were imprisoned in brainwashing centres. Without legal charges, policemen abducted practitioners from their homes or concealed themselves in areas where practitioners often passed by, and then ambushed them.

It was cold and windy in Tokyo on December 22, 2002. About two hundred people gathered in a park not far from the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo to protest the proposed Hong Kong Article 23 Legislation. The people included Japanese clerks of companies, students from China and Taiwan, Falun Gong practitioners and other Chinese in Japan.

'We write to express Human Rights Watch's profound concern that proposals by your government to implement Article 23 of Hong Kong's Basic Law will seriously undermine civil liberties and civil society in Hong Kong.'

'The human rights crowd isn't alone in its worries. Librarians, clerics, journalists, bankers and foreign governments have voiced fears that the proposals could undermine the "one country, two systems" setup designed to insulate Hong Kong from China's repressive political system.'

The photo exhibition is entitled "The Peaceful Journey of Falun Dafa" opening on the evening of December 5, 2002 in the downtown library of Atlanta. "This photo exhibition is to tell people the most basic fact -- that Falun Dafa is good! The persecution in China is vicious. And it is not far away from us, especially because it has involved our neighbours and friends."

Some people have a wrong understanding of how Falun Dafa materials and activities are funded. This article shows that it is precisely Falun Gong practitioners selflessness that enables these materials to be produced.

"After practising for just a month, my body became healthy and strong. Half a year had passed when a classmate of my son came for a visit. He could not recognise me and asked my son, "Is that your mother?" "Yes, it is.", "How could she become 20 years younger?" I told him, "It is because I practise Falun Dafa."
