On 10th December 2002, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office held an Open Day to mark International Human Rights Day. A small group of Falun Gong practitioners visited the Open Day in order to raise the awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong in China and to thank MPs in the Foreign Office for all their ongoing support and hard work in raising the issue of human rights abuses against Falun Gong practitioners in China.

From 6th to 8th of December in Warsaw, Poland, practitioners from the Ukraine, Sweden, USA and Poland took part in various activities. We held several peaceful appeals at the Chinese embassy, distributed materials in downtown Warsaw and manned an information booth during the International Human Rights Film Festival hosted by the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.

On November 30, Falun Gong practitioners from Switzerland, Italy, Germany and France introduced Dafa to the passersby at Albert I Pier. A major newspaper sent a reporter to cover the event and published a positive article about Falun Gong the next day. Many people got to learn the truth about Jiang Zemin's ruthless persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

Here is the story of my wife who has suffered beatings and torture at the hands of Jiang Zemin's regime because she practises Falun gong. I would like to share this story with people so that they can realise how dreadful this persecution is and how much people are suffering just because they want to be good people.

From December 6 to 8, Israeli and German practitioners protested the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong for 58 straight hours outside of the Chinese Embassy and called for the release of practitioner Xiong Wei.

My sister, Ms. Wang Jiqin, was beaten brutally by drug addicts at the camp. In the name of "treatment," camp officer Wang Ming let those drug addicts inject some unknown substances into her that caused her to faint. Later, to shake off their responsibility, they sent my half-dead sister home...after months of painful suffering, she passed away and left her 5-year-old son without a mother.

While arresting Dafa practitioners, wherever they found money or bank deposit books, regardless of whether a practitioner was carrying it with him or had it in their residence, whichever police officer found the money would hide the money in his waist pouch as quickly as possible. Not only would he not leave a receipt, he will also not report his find to the rest of the police who were doing evil deeds with him. The amount of money ranged from hundreds of Yuan to tens of thousands of Yuan.

'Hong Kong's government is aiming to enact by July a tough anti-subversion law...But the issue has inflamed rights activists and legal circles, which worry the law may roll back civil liberties and be exploited by authorities to target anyone they did not like.'

Apple Daily reported on December 6 that after foreign merchants and foreign capital banks openly expressed their concerns about the enactment of Article 23 of the Basic Law, even the chamber of commerce for medium and small enterprises, which previously supported the government with respect to this legislation, also expressed concern that the legislation would negatively affect the business environment.

Singapore is a famous tourist place in Southeast Asia, and thousands of tourists come to visit its scenic beauty every day. On top of that, there are a large number of workers, students, professionals, and visitors, etc., who come from China, which has given us an excellent opportunity to clarify the truth to the Chinese people

The representative looked at our display board and she was very moved. She expressed her appreciation for our actions and told us she was confident that a resolution condemning the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong would be passed at the state legislature.

'A complaint has been lodged in France by Belgian and French nationals in the name of universal competence against Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing during a visit [of Li Lanqing to France].'

A retired division director said to the policemen "You cannot even tell who are good people and who are bad people. What kind of police are you? They practice Falun Gong to improve their health and to become good people. Does this have anything to do with you? Don't harass them again."

A "solemn declaration" is a public declaration to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. As more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."
