"In the spring of 1989, Beijing government cracked down on college students in broad daylight. However, Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted in private. This persecution which appears more cruel, terrible and harsh, has been extended to every corner of China with much more victims."

In two years, Xuefei has experienced brutal torture, and forced labour. She was watched closely by criminals 24 hours a day, tied up under the burning sun in the summer, and stripped of her cloths and forced to sit on frozen concrete in the winter. They even didn’t give her food.

Practitioners were not allowed to defend Falun Dafa in court. As soon as any Falun Dafa practitioner said, "Falun Dafa is good," or pointed out any rumour or slander of Falun Dafa by the government, or gave any example of illegal torture and extortion of Falun Dafa practitioners, he or she would be taken out of the courtroom and tortured.

He suffered immensely while in detention from torture and forced labour. Niu was forbidden from practising the Falun Gong exercises or studying the teachings of Falun Dafa, and his health deteriorated quickly.

He confirmed that she looked like she had lost about 10 kilograms in weight and appeared to be very weak, but more alarmingly she seemed to have changed mentally and had large bruises around her wrists, indicating she may have been tortured or ill-treated in the camp. The once high-spirited Yoko had an unusually sullen expression.

Regardless of the benefits touted by Hong Kong’s leadership, adopting an anti-subversion law based on Article 23 of the Basic law will do nothing more than extend the ability of Jiang Zemin's regime to violate human rights as well as persecute Falun Gong and other peaceful groups in Hong Kong. It will put the will of Jiang Zemin above the law, above the Hong Kong government and above the will of the people.

"As they stand, the proposals go far beyond what is needed to implement Article 23 of the Basic Law and may increase restrictions on fundamental human rights," the international human rights organisation said. "There is a danger that those exercising these rights could be imprisoned as prisoners of conscience."

Officials recently began putting together the law, stirring concerns that even some financial information or commentary could be deemed illegal, given the broad definition of such crimes in mainland China.

The annual grand Christmas Parade was held in Wilmington in the State of Delaware. Although it was windy, with temperatures below freezing, thousands of local residents still enthusiastically gathered on both sides of the downtown streets to watch the largest and most lively parade of the year.

Once a young couple from Beijing said to us: "Wow, Falun Gong. Giving us such nicely printed fliers too. Thanks a lot...I have told you that I had helped a Falun Gong practitioner. The police tried to catch him but I hid him. The police did not catch him. Those police were out of line. They focused their efforts on good people..."

“Just because we love our country, many practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, to clarify the truth to the government. Just because we love our country, we would not do anything against our conscience to deceive others and ourselves. Because of our love for millions of mothers who are like ours and because of our love for millions of children who are like ours, we uphold the principle of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We can not leave a world of falsehood and violence to our beloved mothers and children.”

The doorman refused to let them in: "She is the best person in our workplace, she comes to work early and leaves late, she works earnestly and diligently. She never does wrong deeds. What crime could she have committed? You just want to make trouble for her, why don't you discipline those who embezzle and are corrupt? I don't buy what you're doing!"

A "solemn declaration" is a public declaration to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. As more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."

Chinese folklore is full of ancient stories of cultivation, immortals and taoists. These stories reflect the depth to which the concept of cultivation permeates the whole of Chinese culture, tradition and history. These stories are not directly related to Falun Gong, but are included on Clear Harmony because they are of interest to people, providing an insight into the deep cultural tradition of cultivation practise in China.

On Sunday the 8th of December two friends of mine, both Falun Dafa practitioners, were joined together in marriage. The focus of their wedding was not themselves, but to share the wonderfulness Falun Dafa had brought to their lives with their guests, and to give all who came a great memory of Falun Dafa.
