"Freedoms and guarantees are frequently violated in the People’s Republic of China, inter alia, in the case of Falun Gong practitioners, a great many of whom are the victims of persecution, arrest, torture, other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment, summary procedures or even capital punishment."

Song Yuying was a 60-year-old Dafa practitioner from the Gujiao District of Taiyuan City. She was arrested in Beijing when she went there to appeal against the persecution of Falun Dafa and put in a "re-education" class. The brainwashing sessions caused her health to deteriorate severely. In June 2001, she was tortured to death.

Police in Wuwei City broke into a place where truth-clarifying materials were made. A male practitioner escaped successfully, but Dong Jinlan was forced to jump down from the balcony of the 6th floor to her death. In order to cover up their criminal act, the police secretly cremated her body on the same day. They then lied to her in-laws, saying that Dong jumped out of the building by herself.

Undaunted by the terror around her, Aunt Cui set up a study group and held experience-sharing meetings at her home. With a firm belief in Falun Dafa, she went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Gong. After being arrested, force-fed and tortured, Aunt Cui died during the mid-autumn festival in 2002. A kind-hearted, optimistic and respectable elderly lady was thus murdered by the Jiang regime.

Labour camp officials beat and kicked Su all over her body. They then shocked and beat her over thirty times with an electric baton, leaving her covered with cuts and bruises. Her lower back and buttocks were especially swollen and turned black. After the torture, the abusers tried to force her to sign a paper slandering Falun Dafa and Teacher Li but she refused.

The facts in this article show that officials in this Forced Labour Camp are not only torturing and killing many innocent Chinese practitioners, but are also growing fat on the practitioners' sweat and toil. By forcing the imprisoned practitioners to work long and gruelling hours with no pay and little food, the officials have gained wealth, renovated their own housing quarters and added more instruments of torture.

Every day police order a group of inmates to surround practitioners and read slanderous material to them and force practitioners to watch videos that slander Falun Gong. They deceive and lure practitioners, do not let them have enough rest, and insult, harass and physically torture them.

On October 29, Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference on the square in front of the UN. They called on UN Secretary Mr. Kofi Annan and all kindhearted people to pay attention to the proposed enactment of the anti-sedition law, which would effectively end the "one country, two systems" policy

Mr. Kaneko had been verbally promised by Chinese authorities that he could visit his wife on a monthly basis. But later on he received a notice dated September 6th saying that his travel application was denied. The words on the denial notice said: "you should know the reason."

we saw a plane marked with the words “Air China”! Around the plane, quite a few members of the Chinese Delegation were waiting for boarding. Under the blue sky and bright sunshine, on the broad and almost empty airport ground, the yellow banner that read “Stop Persecuting Falun Gong!” and Dafa practitioners’ yellow T-shirts were very eye-catching. They drew attention from many passengers and airport staff.

Shortly after I started cultivating in Falun Dafa, I had a dream: I was running towards a bus, the door was almost shut and I knew that I could get on it. Suddenly I saw an old man surrounded with many suitcases. It was obvious that he was in a trouble, and wanted to ask me for help. It seemed to me to be the most important decision I may have in my life: to either get on the bus and forget about it, or help the old man and let the bus go on its way. I stopped. I never got on the bus.

Before he practiced Falun Gong, a man smoked a pack of cigarettes a day and drank alcohol at each meal. Within only 10 days after he started practicing Falun Gong, the smell of tobacco became unendurable, so he quit smoking and does not want to smoke anymore.
