There were many people who had already learnt about Falun Dafa either from the TV or while we were practising the exercises in different Czech cities. Some were very happy when they heard that they could learn the exercises at a seminar that was to take place on the afternoon of the same day.

Last week, during Jiang Zemin’s visit to the United States and Mexico, practitioners in Helsinki, Finland gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy every day to Fa Zheng Nian [rough translation - send forth righteous thoughts. This can be understood as a type of meditation.] and clarify the truth to passers by.

From the 26th to the 28th, Falun Gong practitioners in Ireland went to the Chinese Embassy in Dublin to appeal against the persecution andto Fa Zheng Nian [rough translation - Send Righteous Thoughts. This can be understood as a type of meditation].

In order to support the recent truth clarification activities in the US, European practitioners promoted Dafa and clarified the truth in Brussels, Belgium.

This elderly man became extremely weak and was at death's door after continuous brutal persecution for as long as one year and several months by the gangsters at the "610 Office".

Police Officers grabbed Liu by the hair and repeatedly banged her head into the wall, punched her in the face, beat and kicked her, and then used a high voltage electric baton to repeatedly shock her in the face and around the head.

Gradually she became thinner and frailer every day. She was reduced to a near skeletal state and had to be supported by other people whenever she wanted to walk. The director of the "610 Office" Sun Zhi'an said: "(I will) not release her even when she dies."

A veteran practitioner who was over 60 years old was shocked with several electric batons--each more than ten-thousand-volts--at the same time by policemen. Though his body was covered with blisters, he did not give up. Afterwards, he was tied to a bed for several days.

Thousands of Falun Gong supporters and practitioners gathered at each stop of Jiang Zemin's visit to North America over the past week, calling for an end to the three-year campaign of terror in China. Peaceful appeals were carried out around the clock in Chicago, Houston, and Los Cabos.

Houston residents saw the clear and sunny sky again on October 29 after Jiang left for Mexico. Perhaps it was a message from heaven!

[The website] indicated that Falun Gong practitioner Mei Yu-lan was tortured to death by stuffing food through her mouth in No. 607 ward in Chao-Yang Detention Centre after she had been on a hunger strike [to protest her illegal detention].

Another source of "extra" income is kickbacks from drug companies for prescribing expensive medicine. Though it cannot be compared to the amount of money in red envelopes, which is also quite sizeable. After practicing Falun Gong, my younger sister, who is an anesthetist working in a hospital, stopped taking the red envelopes and kickbacks for prescribing certain drugs.
