In order for more people to learn about the persecution of Falun Gong and to help bring the persecution to a swift end, French practitioners peacefully appealed outside of the Chinese Embassy in France on the afternoon of October 23 2002.

Practitioners in Italy have often been to the front of the Chinese embassy in Milan to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to people. Many Chinese asked to read Dafa books when they learnt about the truth and used all kinds of ways to express their concern towards practitioners. During this period, TV stations interviewed practitioners and did a very positive and touching report on Falun Dafa.

They forced practitioners to bend down and then, with their elbow joints, the thugs hit the practitioners' backs with maximum force. Some were hit until they had to lie down on the ground, vomiting blood. The after-effect was often damage to their internal organs, including their kidneys. Such atrocities were repeated almost hourly each day, and have been going on ever since then.

Because Zhang Guohua had steadfast belief in the principles of Falun Dafa, Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, the prison police cruelly persecuted him both physically and mentally. They used electric batons to inflict devastating damage to his body with savage torture that was beyond human endurance. Having lost all control over his body, Zhang Guohua tumbled down a flight of 16 steps. Another innocent person was thus tortured to death.

On September 26, police officers kidnapped two practitioners from work and sent them to a brainwashing class. They refused to cooperate with the wicked police in the brainwashing class and went on a hunger strike to protest against their crimes. Nevertheless, the police kept torturing and abusing them. Currently, they are extremely weak and their lives are in grave danger.

If the practitioner refuses to accept their lies, the collaborators reveal their true natures immediately. They beat the practitioner and even say that it is for the practitioner's own good. The Labour Camp guards grant the collaborators total freedom to use any kind of means to make Falun Dafa practitioners give up the practice of Falun Dafa.

Geng Luqing maintained a just attitude while being interrogated by Zhang Shaoshan. Zhang shouted, "From now on, I will be looking for you every day, persecuting you every day. Now is the time of the Party's world."

The motion expressed that in the opinion of the House of Commons, the Canadian Prime Minister should use the opportunity of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Conference to talk with PRC head Jiang Zemin and call for the release of 13 imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners with close family ties to Canada in the interests of better trade relations between Canada and China.

Around 6:00 a.m. on October 23, over 500 Falun Gong practitioners began gathering at the Inter-Continental Hotel in downtown Houston where Jiang Zemin was to spend the night. At 6:00 p.m., another 100 practitioners from Taiwan arrived. By midnight, over 2,000 Falun Gong practitioners had assembled in Houston to join the peaceful appeal.

October 24, 2002 afternoon report from Houston: Around 8:00 a.m. this morning, over 1,000 Falun Gong practitioners arrived at the George Bush Library on the campus of Texas A&M University, about seventy miles northwest of Houston. The practitioners gathered to hold another group protest against Jiang.

"Falun Gong supporters hoped to keep the pressure on Chinese President Jiang Zemin one day after announcing the aging ruler had been sued in federal court in Chicago for alleged human rights abuses. Jiang left Chicago on Wednesday and was headed to Texas, where he was scheduled to meet with President Bush."

"The thousands of demonstrators expected outside the auditorium to protest Jiang's visit underlie the highly controversial nature of China's communist regime, which many human rights activists allege to be among the world's most brutal and repressive. According to reports from Amnesty International, an independent human rights group, and the U.S. Department of State, the Chinese government employs widespread torture and execution."
