On Saturday the 22nd of March 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in the UK and supporters held a press conference at the Chinese Embassy in London to strongly protest against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s recent intensification of the persecution of Falun Gong in the name of the Olympics. Practitioners called upon the British government to see through the evil nature of the CCP and support justice. They also called upon the international community to stop the CCP trampling on human rights and the persecution of Falun Gong.

At the Embassy, practitioners held eye-catching banners in Chinese and English, “Strongly protesting against the CCP’s mass arrests of Falun Gong practitioners in the run up to the Olympics,” “Falun Gong practitioners are being tortured to death in China,” “the world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.” The press conference that lasted for an hour attracted attention from the local public as well as the media. During the conference, someone within the Embassy took photos and recorded the gathering crowd for long periods of time through an Embassy window. The episode revealed to Falun Gong practitioners who clarify the truth in a dignified manner yet again the despicable tactics typical of the CCP.

The escalation of the Falun Gong persecution shows the evil nature of the CCP

UK Falun Gong spokesperson Helen first alerted people to pay attention to the recent escalation of the persecution, “Since the 20th of July 1999, the CCP has subjected Falun Gong practitioners to an atrocious persecution under ‘state terrorism’. The international society has hoped that hosting the Olympics this year will give the CCP authorities an opportunity to improve human rights. The CCP, however, not only did not improve its appalling human rights record, but also intensified the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and their families in the run up to the Olympics towards a target to eliminate Falun Gong before August 2008. According to data published by the World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPF) in March 2008, the CCP mass arrests of Falun Gong practitioners in the name of the Olympics is nationwide and systematic, mounting to a new round of escalated persecution. From the 1st of January 2008 to the 11th of March, 1,878 Falun Gong practitioners have been arrested across 29 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in mainland China. As such, we urgently call upon the international community to stop the persecution together.”

A Ms. Chen who recently came from China commented that the CCP intensified the persecution of Falun Gong, which it started almost nine years ago, in the run up to the Olympics. Many practitioners’ lives are in danger. Recently when she called the mainland, she was told that many practitioners in China are followed and are in dire situations. In order to maintain a so-called “stable” society under it totalitarian rule, the CCP wantonly persecutes religious followers, including Falun Gong practitioners. We protest here and call upon stopping the CCP regime’s persecution of Falun Gong. “It’s hard for practitioners in China to speak up in face of life danger under the CCP’s evil pressure. We overseas practitioners have opportunities to clarify the truth and expose the persecution in a peaceful environment. We need to let the whole world know about the bloody persecution against innocent Chinese citizens behind the CCP’s halo of Olympics. We hope the international community will not be deceived by the halo and stop the persecution together.”

NGO calls upon the British government to cancel the Olympic torch relay that will arrive in London

The vice president of the World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, John Dee, said in a speech, “We are less than five months away from the Beijing Olympics in August 2008. In mainland China the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners are intensifying. The number of practitioners arrested or tortured is on the rise on a daily basis, which makes it worse for hundreds of thousands of practitioners in China and their families. The CCP attempts to stamp out any perceived “threat” and wantonly arrests practitioners in the name of guaranteeing a successful Olympics.”

Mr. Dee called upon the British government and international society to act righteously and immediately. “China’s human rights violations in recent months have already attracted attention from the international community. The Olympic torch will arrive in London early next month. We ask the Brown government to cancel any planned ceremony so as to send a clear signal to the Chinese government: the CCP must stop its persecution of dissidents and followers of different faiths. We also call upon other countries to cancel their plans to welcome the Beijing Olympic torch. Together let’s apply pressure to urge the CCP authorities to give Chinese citizens the rights they deserve.”

Falun Gong practitioners called for an immediate stop to the persecution

Having learned about the intensified persecution in China, practitioners in the UK worried a great deal about the safety of fellow practitioners in mainland. Those who suffered the evil party’s persecution themselves took it even closer to heart.

Ms. Jiang, who was persecuted for nearly two years in a labour camp, spoke at the press conference, “The CCP intensified persecution of Falun Gong in the run up to the Olympics through mass arrests. There were also instances where arrested practitioners were tortured to death within a few days, which is horrific indeed.” She called upon an immediate stop to the persecution.

After the press conference, a Ms. Annie Young, who was also persecuted in a labour camp for two years, was interviewed. She said, just as reported, large number of arrests and kidnaps are happening all across China in the run up to the Olympics. It seems as if the persecutor is going mad. Annie spoke with a practitioner in Beijing last week, who told her anxiously that every practitioner around her was arrested recently.

Recalling the persecution she suffered in a Chinese labour camp, Annie said sadly, “The torture was done mentally and physically. It is very difficult to recover from mental torture.” She is worried sick about the safety of practitioners inside China.

The CCP will not succeed in its evil aim of persecuting Falun Gong

An elderly British practitioner, Robert Gibson, also experienced the CCP’s persecution first hand. For his unwavering participation in the silent vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy in London, Robert got on the CCP black list. At the end of 2002, he travelled to Beijing to clarify the truth of Falun Gong to Chinese government and people. Soon after he arrived in Beijing, however, he was taken away from his hotel, illegally detained for twenty hours, and illegally interrogated for eight hours.

Knowing very well how evil the CCP persecution could be, he was very concerned about the arrests. He felt, however, that the escalation of persecution is done out of fear. He said, “The CCP is afraid of Falun Gong because it is afraid of the truth, afraid that Falun Gong dares to speak the truth. Communism was defeated. The CCP regime lost its legitimacy. It must silence any different voice for fear of losing control. Meanwhile practitioners who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance would not give in to its brutal suppression, which makes it extremely fearful.” Robert also believed that Falun Gong’s belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance follows god-revering traditional Chinese culture while the evil Communism propagates atheism, which is another important reason why the CCP persecutes Falun Gong.

Robert firmly believed the evil would not win over the good. The CCP will not succeed in its evil aim of persecuting Falun Gong.

More and more British people are learning the truth

This weekend is Easter long weekend. Passer-bys that day received the clear information conveyed by Falun Gong practitioners. Those who learned the truth signed on the anti-persecution petition form one after another.

Infected by the atmosphere at the press conference, a British lady Jenny took out her camera to snap the moving moment. When asked whether she knew about Falun Gong, she replied emotionally that she knew about the persecution. She had just returned from China. The situation there was shocking. She discovered that people still live in fears. Wherever she went, she saw a lot of soldiers in Tibet, in Beijing and on Tiananmen Square. The situation was horrible, really horrible. Everyone in the world should know about this. In the end she said, in her opinion “peaceful protests are effective. I believe many British have already known the truth.”

Mesut Turkan, a German who is studying in London, stopped at the press conference to learn the truth. He felt very sad about Falun Gong practitioners’ sufferings. He continued, “I think everyone should learn the truth. Everyone has the right to uphold his or her own belief. A government should guarantee the freedom of belief of its citizens.”

On March 25th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference at the Chinese Embassy in Ireland protesting against the CCP arresting large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners on the eve of the Olympic Games. The practitioners called on international communities to be concerned about the condition of human rights in China, so as to stop the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP and release all illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Falun Gong practitioners in Ireland condemn the CCP for persecuting Falun Gong in the name of protecting the Olympics

The media interviews a Falun Gong practitioner

On the eve of the Olympic Games, the CCP, in the name of the Central Commission of Politics and Law, has given a secret order to arrest a great number of Falun Gong practitioners, which has lead to more deaths and cases of kidnapping and arrests occurring on a large scale all over China.

Falun Gong practitioners at the Embassy were holding banners worded "Strongly condemning the CCP for arresting large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners before the Olympic Games" and the truth clarifying boards, telling passers by how cruelly the CCP has been persecuting Falun Gong since 1999. After accepting truth clarifying material about Falun Gong, passers by were asking about the detail of it and the condition of human rights in China.

At the Press Conference, Zhao Ming, a spokesman for Falun Gong in Ireland, said: “At the beginning of making the Olympic bid, the Chinese Communist authorities made a promise to the international communities that it would improve human rights. Now China’s human rights have not improved, but instead, the CCP is intensifying its persecution of Falun Gong, human rights advocators etc. by using the Olympics.” He said: “We are here expressing our strong protest against the CCP mass arrests of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Since this January, it has started to arrest a Falun Gong practitioner which has happened before the so-called Olympic Games. What it has done intends to remove the voices of protesters. These arrests have shown that the CCP has no sincerity, as it said when making the Olympic bid that it would improve human rights in China. On the contrary, it has started to arrest innocent Falun Gong practitioners in large numbers, which has attracted world wide attention. Local police directly search and arrest Falun Gong practitioners at home or in their working places and then detain them in local detention centres forced labour camps and brain washing classes. ”

“According to a Minghui Net reports: Since the end of last year to March 11th this year, 1,878 Falun Gong practitioners have been illegally arrested, which involves a total of China's twenty nine provinces, in Beijing more than 100 Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted.” Zhao Ming said: “What is happening in China shows that the condition of human rights in China has not all improved but the number of Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted to death is still growing every day according to Minghui Net”.

He called on the Irish government and international communities to be concerned with the matter and hoped that all Chinese people will come and get to know the truth and choose justice and conscience. He said: “Here, we advise all staff from departments of the Chinese government, such as the department of foreign affairs to quickly withdraw from the cult organisation the CCP. The day of eliminating the CCP is coming soon; those who are still following the CCP will receive punishment and justice.”

The Press Conference caught the attention of a number of media in Ireland, such as the Irish RTE, Newstalk 106 - 108, FM104 and the INN (Independent News Network) and they all conducted interviews with Falun Gong practitioners.

Between the 14th and 16th of March, the Gala Spectacular held four shows in the International Conference Centre Berlin, bringing traditional Chinese culture to Germany.

The warm atmosphere inside the theatre formed a contrast with the cold breeze outside. Each performance in each show was applauded and every time when it came to the end of the show, the audience would applaud for a long time and the curtain of the stage had to be open again and again. When the lights were turned on, there were still some audience standing still looking at the stage with happy expression on their face as if they were still enjoying the after taste of the dance and songs.

On 14th March, after the first show, some members of the audience gave their impressions of the Spectacular.

"As Splendid As Fireworks"

A law student said excitedly, ‘The costume was delicate and magnificent, the female dancers were gentle and attractive, the whole show was splendid, like the fireworks burst in night’s sky, full of longing for the beautiful future and the power of persistence, the show made people excited and inspired love of life, and encouraged people to face their life with an optimistic attitude.

"The Show was Very Positive:

Mr. Thorsten Beyer is a teacher at a high school, he summarised his feelings: ‘wonderful show, a very nice thing, I like this show. The show is very positive and I will bring all these positive impressions back home. I liked the music very much and hope to get a recording of the music of the show’.

"Tang Court Drums were wonderful"

Mr. Bjorn Scholle, an assistant auditor, found the show excellent: ‘The ones I like best were the Tang Court Drum and Bowl Dance, and the costumes were beautiful too’. He thought that it was not easy to know the deep significance of Chinese culture through a single show, people need to know more about it.

"The Drummers’ Skills Were Superb"

A psychologist was overwhelmed by the Spectacular too: ‘There are several points I liked, especially the drum dance, the drummers’ skill was superb, the music of the show was beautiful, especially the Erhu’. She also said, ‘The Communist Regime was so violent, which surprised me’.

"To View China from a New Angle"

‘Chinese culture was colourful, and the show provided people with a new angle to view China’, said Gabriela Morales-Nunez, a nurse. ‘The after sound of the show was still there, I liked the drum dance very much, all the dances were beautiful, very lithe, the live music band was excellent. There are not many chances to hear this kind of traditional music, I found it made people quiet. The lyrics on the back drop were important, full of expressive power’.

Presenters helped the audience understand the showEngineer Mr. Gunter Unseld did not expect such a good show; he said, ‘The show was very good; the drum dance was excellent, wonderful. The two presenters were good, and helpful for the understanding of the show. The theme of the show was especially nice. The songs and music were a bit unfamiliar for me, but the lyrics on the back drop helped me understand, very interesting, I really felt very excited’.

A former X-ray assistant was enamoured of the elegant dances, ‘I like the dancers very much, the Tang Court Drum was very good and very moving’.

She also liked the Erhu and found the music of the dance about the persecution of Falun Gong (‘Conscience’) was very good. "The way to express how to help them (Falun Gong practitioners and her child) was very good, I like this way". She found the way to show lyrics on the back drop wonderful.

Mr. Ma Fusheng, 68, was a professor who taught at the Changchun City Geology Institute in Jilin Province. Prior to learning Falun Gong, he had heart and kidney disease, but after he began cultivating in 1997, he became healthy very quickly. Mr. Ma went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000. For this he was arrested and detained in a detention centre and a mental hospital. He was inhumanly tortured, and held a hunger strike to protest the persecution for nine days before he was released. The local police considered him a key person and constantly harassed him at home.

In March 2003, he was arrested again by officers from the Changchun City Police Department, and sentenced to one year of forced labour. The police confiscated his personal computer and a printer, along with other items. Mr. Ma became very weak after one year of forced labour, and had difficulty moving. The local police never stopped harassing him even though they knew of his fragile condition. He never recovered from his weakened state and died on February 17th, 2008.

My name is Jing Suo. I am a Falun Gong practitioner, and I was arrested for practising Falun Gong and sentenced to four years in prison. I am currently detained at the Nanhuayuan Prison in Fushun, Liaoning Province.

On April 10th-12th, 2004, police officers Liu Bo, Yang Hai and Zheng Zhiguo from the Domestic Security Division of Tiexi District Police Department arrested me. They tortured me for three days with another police officer, trying to coerce me to give up Falun Gong practice and reveal the names of other practitioners. Their inhumane tortures in 2004 have left many deep wounds on my body that are still clearly visible today.

The persecutors took me to the Tiexi Detention Centre on June 14th, 2004. The guards there urged the inmates to beat me. I filed several complaints with the People's Procuratorate and with the People's Court against these guards, but I have not received a single response. One day in that place I witnessed a practitioner who had been tortured to death being carried out.

In October 2004 the persecutors sentenced me to four years in prison, and transported me to the Fushun Prison. The guards designated several inmates to take turns monitoring me around the clock.

Two years later, on June 23rd, 2006, a guard drank a lot of alcohol and beat me for no reason, hitting me from the first floor all the way to the second floor until he was tired, and another guard took me away. Afterwards I requested a meeting with the on-site procurator to file a lawsuit against that guard, but the prison authorities denied my request. I held a hunger strike to protest the inhuman treatment, but the captors force-fed and tortured me. They inserted a rubber tube into my stomach through my nose, and used lots of napkins trying to stem the blood flow from my nose. The tube damaged my nose, throat, oesophagus and stomach. They put me on a bed, handcuffed me to the corners of the headboard and tied my feet to the corners of the foot-board, and during the heat of summer, they covered me with blankets. They incited the inmates to force-feed me concentrated salt water and slap my face to keep me from closing my eyes. The inmates humiliated and attacked me daily as soon as midnight arrived.

We in the prison have no freedom or rights to see our family members. My parents are in their seventies, and my older sister, my young daughter and other relatives and friends know nothing about my circumstances, and I do not know how they are doing.

On April 23rd, 2005, fellow practitioner Wang Wenju was on hunger strike and died as a result of force-feeding. According to an inside source he was tortured while comatose before he died, and as a result his eyes were black. But the prison authorities claimed he died of food poisoning. The prison's deputy administrator said at a meeting, "If when you make trouble you are not afraid of death, then I am not tired of burying bodies." His tone was provocative and intimidating, It seemed as if he simply had no regard for human life.

On December 19th, 2007, fully armed guards suddenly removed many practitioners around me, and their whereabouts were unknown. At the time of transfer, two inmates took each of them. Their arms were folded behind them, and their heads were held down low. The inmates pushed and shoved them into a police van. The prison guards' faces were cold and stiff, and they held police implements. Security was deployed around the prison.

Today I am telling you from my own experiences the treatment of Falun Gong practitioners inside a Chinese Communist Party prison is the utmost in inhumane behaviour.

Below is my friend's disclosure of the crimes occurring in the Qiqihar No. 1 Detention Centre:

1. Hell in the Human World

Qiqihar No. 1 Detention Centre is a hell in the human world. Once you enter, you will be isolated from the outside, completely. You are not allowed to be visited, there is no TV or newspaper, and even a pen is forbidden. What you drink is ground water and you can take only a cold-water bath. Prisoners are not allowed to shave and can only pull out their moustache hairs. There is no toilet paper and you can only wash when using the wash room. You are required to sit crossed leg in one line, and you cannot move. Your legal rights cannot be guaranteed at all. When you are sick, they will say you are pretending. If you sing a song, you will be slapped in the face. You are only allowed to sing, "Without the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) there is no new China," and you have to sing it at a certain time. Some Falun Gong practitioners refused to wear the prison uniforms and refused to recite the jail rules, so they were subjected to assaults by the police officers. It is said that a brainwashing centre was built close by.

When the leader comes for inspection, you have to clean right away, and sit up straight. When the leader walks through the jail room, inmates are required to shout out, "Welcome leaders for coming to inspect and give us direction." The food is extremely poor, even though there are detailed nutrition standards and appropriate funds for detainees' food. However, after layers and layers of compromises, there remains only rice cakes and vegetable soup. You cannot even see any oil.

The detention centre regulations require that the leg shackles weight cannot exceed five kilograms (11 lb.). Tight shackles and back shackles are forbidden. These regulations however, are routinely ignored. The shackles in the picture are the most commonly-used ones in the jail, and weigh 10 kilograms (22 lb.). Hand shackles are also used. When the shackles are tight, the hands become swollen after a while. This is not the end, as the wardens will force you to crawl in a circle in the corridor and go to each door of the cell block to aggravate the torture.

When Falun Gong practitioners are brought into the detention centre, they are usually carried in with many injuries. Some practitioner's legs are festering with large holes, and some practitioners' arms cannot move at all, with their hands very swollen. According to the detention centre regulations, they should refuse to accept these practitioners. However, after the police department gives the detention centre head, Tian Weiguo for example, a call, they will accept the injured practitioners.

The jail's administrators rotate duty and the detainees also take their duties in turn. However, it is just for show. It is managed by the jail heads, who are appointed by the warden, and are usually the warden's relatives or favourites.

2. Producing Products for Export

The Qiqihar No. 1 Detention Centre forces their detainees to take part in handicraft manufacturing to make huge profits. They call it by a good name, "doing exercises." But, it is actually intense work to meet aggressive quotas. The inmates often work overtime, and are seriously overloaded. They make toothpicks for pricking fruit that are exported to Korea. Actually, the toothpicks are produced in such poor sanitary conditions that the bacteria seriously violates the safety standards. According to regulations, the detainees should not take part in this type of labour. However, the detention centre and businessmen see the prisoners as cheap labour and they collude with the administration department to assign tasks to the prisoners to make profits for the detention centre and themselves. If the detainees don't work, they are subjected to punishment, including being forced to sit cross legged for extended periods of time, not being allowed to walk for as long as an entire day, and restricted wash room privileges.

Most of the commodities available to inmates for purchase are fakes, and the prices are very high. Bedding is 130 yuan¹. When you shake it, the dregs fall down. If you hang it in the sun, you can see the light coming through. If you cover your body with it, you will be dyed green. Some quilts are labelled as "non-commodity." The clothes become wrinkled after washing. Not to mention the food--some has been expired for several years.

3. Trashing Privacy

Each cell has male rooms and female rooms. For example, in a corridor, the outside ones are female rooms, while the inside ones are male rooms. The monitor cameras are connected together, and there are no dead corners. Normally, the monitor cameras monitor each room in turn, and are also connected with the downstairs, which is the No. 2 Detention Centre (for administration detention). The monitor stays on in each room for 5 to 6 seconds, and it can also stay on longer. The guards can also hear the talking in each room. When something happens or there is a loud sound, they will switch the camera to that room. Each ward area has a monitoring room. Some of the police officers assigned to these duties peep on ladies taking baths.

Although the regulations forbid torture, many prisoners are subjected to torture. Many people experience the "big hang up"² of the Longsha criminal police, the "pull" of the Jianhua criminal police, and the electronic shocks of the Tiefeng police.

What I have mentioned is only the tip of the iceberg.

1. "Yuan" is the Chinese currency; 500 yuan is equal to the average monthly income of an urban worker in China.

"Big hang up" - There are two forms in this torture: (1) With both hands cuffed behind the back and only the toes touching the ground, one is hung by a rope that is tied to the metal window frames. (2) One hand of a practitioner is cuffed to one bunk bed and the other hand to another bed, and the two beds are pulled in the opposite directions. One feels extreme pain as the body is pulled.

On November 3rd, 2006, eight Falun Gong practitioners from Jingshan County, Hubei Province, were arrested. Currently, six of them are still imprisoned in Jingshan Detention Centre.

Xiao Houzhen's wife is paralysed and bedridden without anyone to take care of her. Shang Qifeng is handicapped with only one hand and an 80-year old mother at home without anyone to take care of her.

Also, Zhou Qing from Jingshan County was sentenced to four years of imprisonment after being arrested in 2005. Zhou is still in Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang.

Mr. Zhou Qing, 30 years old, was a teacher at the First Middle School in Jingshan County. Since the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20th, 1999, he has been arrested on many occasions. In February 2003, the First Middle School, along with local 610 Office¹ personnel, tried to take him away to a brainwashing centre again. Mr. Zhou was forced to leave home. That same year he was fired from the school. In 2004 he was arrested in Xiaogan by the local National Security Team and tortured at the local detention centre until all four of his limbs were paralysed and he could not even speak. Later, he was taken to the brainwashing centre and injected with unknown drugs that made him mentally disoriented. He also lost almost all his hair and could not see to his basic needs. Only when his life was hanging by a thread was he allowed to be taken home by his family. Before he was able to fully recover, on June 22nd, 2005, Mr. Zhou was once again taken into custody by the National Security Team in Xiaogan and sentenced to four years of imprisonment in July 2005.

Due to the long term persecution, Mr. Zhou's family had no income, and in May 2006, his wife and child went to Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang to visit him, hoping that he could fill out an application to apply for social benefits. However, the prison did not allow Mr. Zhou to see them. When his wife went to the county 610 Office, she was turned away, which depressed her greatly. That same day, a truck hit her and knocked her down. Both her legs were badly crushed, and she has still not recovered. The entire family is having a really hard time.

I am currently 57 years old. In September of 2006, due to stomach pain, asthma and breathing difficulties, I was hospitalised at the Respiratory Department of Guiyang Medical Hospital. The CT scan indicated that my right lung had "empty holes" known as tracheal stenosis. I was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer in my right lung. At the time, the doctors and my family tried to hide the truth from me, but later I found out. I was transferred from the respiratory department to the oncology department. I understood that this meant that what I had was not an ordinary disease.

The doctors recommended chemotherapy. However, at the time, my work unit had not paid any wages for nearly a whole year. Even now it has been nearly two years that they did not pay us any wages. Even everyday meals were a problem. Where could I find money to pay the hospital fees? Facing the high medical expenses, my family members went everywhere trying to borrow money to cover the cost.

Due to the physical torture and suffering from the diseases, and the mental and economic burden, my health was declining with each passing day. My temper had become increasingly bad. I was easily irritated, I cursed regularly, and I did not co-operate with the doctor's treatment. I knew that the treatment was only a consolation. My family secretly grieved over my condition.

At the end of December in 2007, I bumped into a Falun Dafa practitioner who told me the truth about Falun Gong. He told me that if I sincerely recited "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance are good," that I could be saved. I believed in what he said and immediately recited that in my heart. In the meantime, I asked him to help me withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party Young Pioneers for their initiation in the brutal crackdown against Falun Gong in China since 1999.

Since then, my asthma disappeared and I could breathe smoothly. Also, I no longer felt tired. My body and spirit grew stronger every day. The colour returned to my face and I began to look healthy. My family were very happy to see the changes in me. They all completed the "three-withdrawals"; that is quitting the CCP, Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers.

In mid-March this year, I asked to be discharged from the hospital. The doctors said, "You have such a serious illness, how can we discharge you? You need to take a CT scan and we will review the result before making a decision." The doctors were shocked after they got my CT film. It showed a clear lung profile, as if I never had a disease. The doctors kept saying: "It's a miracle from God!"

Falun Dafa offers a way for all. After reciting from my heart "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance are good," my cancer was miraculously cured. This was what I personally experienced as the miraculousness of Falun Dafa. After many rounds of review in the hospital (in the beginning once every three months, later on once every six months) the results indicated that my health showed no problems, ti were as if I had never suffered from the cancer.

The founder of Falun Dafa, Master Li Hongzhi has given me a second life. I sincerely thank Falun Dafa and Master Li. I will use my personal experience to tell the world's people that Falun Dafa is a righteous way. At the same time I want to advise the world's people who are still not clear to wake up quickly, to stop being deceived by the Chinese Communist Party's lies, and quickly withdraw from the CCP.

An Extraordinary Road

In a village in Shandong Province of China there are about twelve Falun Dafa practitioners. They abide by the principles taught in Falun Gong, and are always strict with their self-discipline to be good people at all times.

The village's main road has not been paved or maintained in recent years. The practitioners discussed among themselves and decided to volunteer to rebuild the road. Some volunteered their vehicles, and others contributed their labour. They built the main road in the village in two week's time.

While they were building the road, the villagers said to them, "You practitioners are all becoming fools." Some even said, "Nowadays everyone works for fame and profit. Who would want to work for nothing?" Some said even more unkind words. Many had peculiar expressions on their faces when they talked about the fact that the practitioners volunteered to build the road for all the villagers without asking for anything in return.

Two weeks later, when people walked on the widened and evenly paved road, everyone was touched by the selflessness of the practitioners. In a village meeting, the head of the village told the entire village through a loudspeaker, "Everyone knows that our road had not been in a good condition. The village did not have the money to have it rebuilt. The government asked us to pave the road but did not give us any funding. Now the road is built, and it was done by the Falun Gong practitioners in our village." Everyone listened quietly lest they miss a single word. He cleared his throat and continued, "The Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. They have contributed a lot to our village. If the government wants to arrest these practitioners, let them take me first!"

Later on, it was said that the head of the village reported to the township government the matter about the practitioners building the road for the village. It was also said that the matter was reported up to the county level. Every level of government in the county knew that Falun Gong practitioners are good people. They just dare not to say anything under the pressure of the persecution by the heads of the Chinese Communist Party.

The Awakening of the World's People

The heavenly rule of karmic retribution has manifested itself during the eight years of ruthless persecution staged by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) against the belief of "Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance" and against the rational and peaceful resistance by Falun Gong practitioners. Every day, there are stories of people who persecuted those who practise Falun Dafa as receiving retribution all around the country. These people include officials from all levels of the Gestapo like 610 Office, the police, state security and local government agents who are involved in the persecution. The world's people who have seen these instances of retribution are starting to awaken. They have chosen to support justice and kindness and to resist the tyranny of the CCP.

In October of 2004, I was on a bus to Beijing. On the way, the police stopped the bus for an inspection. One policeman boarded the bus and asked every passenger to show their identification. He also ordered everyone to slander the teacher of Falun Gong; everyone was unhappy about this. Some even cursed the policemen under their breath, "idiots" or "I hope you die." At this time, a young policeman boarded the bus and asked, "Why do we have to slander someone who hasn't even bothered us? Let's just do what we were asked to do. They only told us to check IDs." Then he waved to the people in the bus and said, "You can go now."

Last October, I was again on my way to Beijing on business. The bus was again stopped on the way. Two policemen boarded the bus. One shouted viciously, "Everyone sit tight and take out your IDs." The other one pointed to a middle-aged man in the first row and yelled, "Do you practice Falun Gong?" The man said, "No." The policeman said, "Then curse Falun Gong in front of everyone!" The man raised his head and looked at the policeman in contempt: "Why do I have to curse them? They did not bother me! Also, I heard that Falun Gong only teaches people to abide by the principles of 'Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance'!" The policeman shouted in anger, "If you do not curse Falun Gong, then I won't let you go!" The middle-aged man straightened his back and said word by word, "Do you call this a 'Harmonious Society'? The police lead people to curse other people. Which country has a law that if you do not curse someone you will not be allowed to ride the bus?" At this time, people on the bus also started to protest, "This is ridiculous!" "What kind of a world is this!" "The CCP is so immoral, it won't be able to rule long!" Under the righteous reasoning and everyone's protests, the policemen had to leave and let the bus go.

A Catholic Talks About His View of Falun Dafa Practitioners

On February 23rd, 2008, I met a university professor who came to Shenzhen City from another city to attend the Catholic Followers Sharing Conference. The professor is researching theology at a university. He said to me, "We Catholics all admire you Falun Gong practitioners when we talk about you in private. The persecution you are going through surpasses any religious persecution in history. But you have never stopped your resistance, and you persist with your beliefs. You are really courageous!" When he came to know more of the truth, the professor indicated that he would ask more people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party. He would tell the truth of Falun Gong to his relatives and friends and ask them to quit CCP. He exclaimed, "One never knows just how evil the Party is!"

In order to celebrate the 34 million Chinese people quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations, the Northern California Service Center for Quitting the CCP held a rally and parade at Portsmouth Square in San Francisco's Chinatown at noon on March 23rd, 2008.

The weather was warm and sunny. At the rally, the Divine Land Marching Band gave a performance, and students from the Minghui School performed dances to celebrate the increasing number of Chinese people who have been awakened. Attendees recalled that the CCP has killed countless innocent people over the past decades, and at the same time, they pointed out that incidents of murder will continue to occur under the CCP's rule.

Representative of the Northern California Service Center for Quitting the CCP, Mr. Ma Youzhi, said that the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party points out that the CCP is an evil spectre, and in the Communist Manifesto, the prime document of the communist party, it proclaimed that "In 1848, a specter is haunting Europe - the spectre of Communism." It can be seen that the CCP is a spectre, an evil spectre and the whole world has paid a heavy price for this evil Communist spectre.

"34 million Chinese compatriots have seen this point clearly," Mr. Ma continued, "they have announced their withdrawals from this evil Party, and are no longer associating with it."

People in the Bay Area condemn the CCP escalating the persecution of Falun Gong in the run-up to the Olympics

Bay Area software engineer Zhang Xinyu said that recently he saw in the media that the CCP had issued secret decrees to escalate the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in the run-up to the Olympics.

San Francisco representative of the Northern California Service Center for Quitting the CCP, Zeng Wenbiao, pointed out that it is estimated that, in the past two months in Beijing alone, about one hundred Falun Gong practitioners were arrested. The CCP has also conducted large-scale arrests of Falun Gong practitioners in the name of the Olympics, not only in Beijing but on a national scale. The CCP has launched a new round of nationwide systematic persecution involving 29 provinces, cities and autonomous regions. From the end of last year until March 11th, 2008, 1878 cases of illegal arrests of Falun Gong practitioners have been documented.

Mr. Huang Jing, a software engineer who once worked as a senior administrator at a high-tech company in Silicon Valley, asked why suppressions occur one after another in China. It started with the landlords, then capitalists, intellectuals, then of course the students at the June 4th massacre, and then the brutal persecution of Falun Gong, and so on. He pointed out that he thought it is because the CCP has never changed its violent nature. Another clear example of this is the recent bloody suppression in Tibet, which once again proves what this CCP is made of, after all.

Mr. Zhang said that Falun Gong practitioners have been making continuous efforts to tell the word's people about the truth of the situation in China.

He continued by spelling out a principle whereby if a person sees someone commit a crime but does not say anything, he has actually become an accomplice of the criminal.

Dr. Yang Ying draws a lesson from history

Dr. Yang Ying, a biochemistry major from the San Francisco Bay Area said that history surprisingly repeats itself sometimes. In 1936, when Hitler was in power, the Olympic Games were held there, but later we know that the whole world learned a lesson through WWII and through the holocaust of the Jewish people. That is to say, we should no longer repeat such history.

She called on people to stand on the side of justice. Today the act played out by the CCP is so similar to that which took place 72 years ago. She believes that Chinese people have the ability to see through the CCP's propaganda and should not let this happen again.

After the rally, the attendees held a parade. The procession marched through the main streets, attracting the attention of many passersby. Some of them took photographs of the parade, some asked for detailed information, and some began reading the materials exposing the CCP's human rights violations as soon as they took them. Some Chinese onlookers walked up to the procession and said, "Well done! You're getting better and better."

It is documented in the book The Great History Writings Zi Zhi Tong Jian - the Tang Dynasty that during the rule of the Emperor Taizhong, white birds built a nest above the palace. The nest was small in the middle and large at either end, as if two nests had been pushed together, similar to a waist drum. All his officials complimented the birds, saying, "Most things in this world don't like to be combined because of their lack of tolerance. Look at how these two bird nests have merged to become one with a special shape. It is truly remarkable--a reflection of the harmony existing between heaven and earth, and the virtue of Your Majesty, our Emperor. We really need to celebrate this event."

Taizhong said, "I often laughed at the Sui Emperor, who did not pay attention to talented officials but liked auspicious omens. As a result, his country perished. In my opinion, what is truly auspicious is having talented officials managing our country well, and having our people be happy and content. As for the rare birds and wonderful beasts, they are only slightly different from ordinary things. How can we celebrate this?" He then ordered the nest to be destroyed and the birds to be returned to the wild.
