During Mozart's birthday celbrations, Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Salzburg’s old town to introduce local people and visitors to Falun Gong and expose the seven years of brutal persecution inflicted by the Chinese Communist regime on a significant proportion of its own people.

Dutch Falun Gong practitioners came to Alphen aan de Rijn, a small town in the Netherlands, to introduce Falun Gong and expose the brutal persecution.

60-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yu Huinan was tortured at the Suzhou Prison for five years. He died on January 4th, 2006. His wife and two daughters are incarcerated. Practitioner Chen Guang was sentenced to eight years in prison for practising Falun Gong. Mr. Chen suffered severe brain damage from torture on July 29th, 2005 and has already been in a deep coma for six months.

Ms. Wang Chongxia, in her 60's, went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Dafa on December 22nd, 2000. The police from the Qianmen Substation arrested her. Later on the Shanxi Government Office in Beijing detained her. The police also raided her home. In April 2001, she was sent to a brainwashing session located in the Zhenchen Male Labour Camp in Taiyuan City. She did not get home until July. Policeman Gao Feng continued to harass her by visiting her home frequently. Serious symptoms redeveloped and she passed away in June 2005.

Ms. Yu Yonghua was over 70. After July 20th, 1999, due to the severe persecution of Falun Dafa, and also due to the intense pressure from the local government in which her second son held the position of the Chief of the Village, her oldest son and daughter-in-law kept her from doing the exercises. Consequently, Ms. Yu's old illnesses recurred and she passed away in January 2003.

Mr. Lu Bin, 50, was a practitioner from Hebei Province. He worked at the county's fertiliser plant but was fired from his job because he refused to give up Falun Dafa. When he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in 2000, the government officials took him to the Shijingshan Police Station in Beijing and subjected him to cruel treatment. Both his mind and body suffered severely. As a result, his former illnesses recurred, and he died in the winter of 2002.

During the 10 years I took care of my husband, I was also ill. Since I started practising Falun Gong, I have not had to use my hospital card. I also no longer need medicine and supplements for menopause. I previously had surgery on my knees, and the doctor said I would not be able to walk upstairs. After practising Falun Gong, I could walk and run upstairs.

She immediately walked over and told him sternly, "As a security officer, you should not talk nonsense. People practising Falun Gong are all good people; how can they be the ones that polluted the river? This was an accident caused by the Jilin Chemical Plant. It was written up in the newspaper." Upon hearing these words, the security guard immediately lowered his head and became silent. The people at the scene all agreed with her.
